Trigwell is a small rural location 256 km from Perth. We have a lovely peaceful working farm of 500 acres to explore with undulating hills with horses, cattle, sheep, and plenty of wildlife. There is a good chance of them joining you too! Boyup Brook is just down the road with a sporting club, pool, museum, great little shops, and a local IGA. There is Trigwell Reserve and Haddleston Springs on our doorstep, so many walk trails and things to explore. Harvey Dickson rodeo and the Boyup Brook country music festival is a great drawcard every year. We offer two options to enjoy this beautiful place: A camping area, and a cottage. Plenty of room to set up camp in the camping area of the proeprty, so choose when you get here. Sit around a campfire (restrictions for fire season, of course) watch a gorgeous sunset, and enjoy a BBQ with a drink in hand. No toilet for campers, so you'll need to be self-sufficient with your own camp toilet and take all waste with you when you leave. The cottage is cute and rustic, and has everything you need for a comfortable farm stay. The Blackwood River is also very close to our place, and Lake Towerrinning is an amazing place to swim , paddle or ski ( approx 20km )At Trigwell Bridge you have access to the riverside which is great for canoeing through to Boyup Brook. Dogs are welcome (campsite only, possibly cottage on request) but please keep them on leash at all times. Drinking water is available on request and firewood is provided for free. Please note there is approximately 25kms of gravel road . If you come in Boyup Brook way thru to Dinninup , there's only a couple of km. Also there is a total fire ban at the moment and the dam is unsuitable to swim in af present. Hope you love our place as much as we do!

It is nestled among agricultural land, making it a vital fauna refuge. The ongoing vegetation research, monitoring and fire management ensure habitats are supported for the endangered Woylie, Tammar Wallabies, Numbats, Possums, and Red-tailed Phascogales. Bushwalking, bird watching, wildflower rambles, trail driving and spotlighting or just unwinding are some of the activities you can do. Short stays are available at the Percy Marshall Field Study Centre. This was built in 1963 as the first biological research station and living quarters. The Centre offers dormitory style accommodation (exclusive use of 1 room per family). Two rooms with single bunks only. 6 beds in one room, and 4 in the other. Self contained RV camping is also available, strictly for fully self contained vehicles only. Sites are all unpowered. It is natural bushland camping, all centred around the main facility. Wave Rock Short Stay

The Silos is located 2 km from the Hyden town site and 2 km from Wave Rock. Both locations are easily accessible by car or by using the walking/cycling trail. To access the walking trail please head back to Aylmore Road, turn right and when you reach the intersection cross the highway to meet the walking/cycling trail. Left will take you to town and right to Wave Rock. Please be mindful that our property neighbours a working sheep and cropping farm. Wave Rock is a granite cliff 15 metres high and 110 metres long. It’s rounded-like shape has been caused by weathering and water erosion which has undercut the base and left a rounded overhang. Water from the springs running down the rock during wetter months dissolves minerals adding to the colouring of the wave. In 1960, crystals from Hyden Rock were dated at being 2700 million years old, which are amongst the oldest in Australia. A 15 minute drive north of Wave Rock you will see a “giant” lurching out of the bushland. This massive granite rock formation is known as the Humps – grab your hat, sun screen and water bottle and explore! Be sure to visit Mulka's Cave. The name “Mulka” comes from an Aboriginal Legend associated with the cave. As you enter the cave (take a few moments for your eyes to adjust) and look at the walls and note the many hand stencils believed to representing adults and children. Close to Lake Magic, a large local salt lake, Denis Collins constructed a 20m round, 6m deep swimming pool-like gypsum pond whose buoyancy and therapeutic properties are greater than those of the Dead Sea.

As the sun rises to one side and sets to the other, it's the perfect antidote to a stressful week, ideal for those wanting to get away from the city for some relaxing time in the country. There are two dams, a BBQ, and flat parking for off-road camper vans, and level land to pitch a tent by the shady trees to enjoy nights under the stars. The area is great for astrophotographers as the night sky is very dark, confirmed by many who have already taken the opportunity to use the property for astrophotography.

Trigwell is a small rural location 256 km from Perth. We have a lovely peaceful working farm of 500 acres to explore with undulating hills with horses, cattle, sheep, and plenty of wildlife. There is a good chance of them joining you too! Boyup Brook is just down the road with a sporting club, pool, museum, great little shops, and a local IGA. There is Trigwell Reserve and Haddleston Springs on our doorstep, so many walk trails and things to explore. Harvey Dickson rodeo and the Boyup Brook country music festival is a great drawcard every year. We offer two options to enjoy this beautiful place: A camping area, and a cottage. Plenty of room to set up camp in the camping area of the proeprty, so choose when you get here. Sit around a campfire (restrictions for fire season, of course) watch a gorgeous sunset, and enjoy a BBQ with a drink in hand. No toilet for campers, so you'll need to be self-sufficient with your own camp toilet and take all waste with you when you leave. The cottage is cute and rustic, and has everything you need for a comfortable farm stay. The Blackwood River is also very close to our place, and Lake Towerrinning is an amazing place to swim , paddle or ski ( approx 20km )At Trigwell Bridge you have access to the riverside which is great for canoeing through to Boyup Brook. Dogs are welcome (campsite only, possibly cottage on request) but please keep them on leash at all times. Drinking water is available on request and firewood is provided for free. Please note there is approximately 25kms of gravel road . If you come in Boyup Brook way thru to Dinninup , there's only a couple of km. Also there is a total fire ban at the moment and the dam is unsuitable to swim in af present. Hope you love our place as much as we do!

The camp ground is on a working lavender farm and farming activities may be happening. The lavender farm shop and cafe is open Friday to Sundays (closed February and Match) but campers can purchase lavender products on request. Transport to the Munda Biddi or Bibbulman Track is available. Camp fires in season (Usually May to September) and weather permitting. Breakfast Basket or BBQ packs available thee are cook your own we supply all the ingredients and tools

An important natural remnant of original fauna and flora in the Wheatbelt, this A class reserve is about 2,200 hectares, and encompasses the Dutarning Range. It is nestled among agricultural land, making it a vital fauna refuge. The ongoing vegetation research, monitoring and fire management ensure habitats are supported for the endangered Woylie, Tammar Wallabies, Numbats, Possums, and Red-tailed Phascogales. Bushwalking, bird watching, wildflower rambles, trail driving and spotlighting or just unwinding are some of the activities you can do. Short stays are available at the Percy Marshall Field Study Centre. This was built in 1963 as the first biological research station and living quarters. The Centre offers dormitory style accommodation (exclusive use of 1 room per family). Two rooms with single bunks only. 6 beds in one room, and 4 in the other. Self contained RV camping is also available, strictly for fully self contained vehicles only. Sites are all unpowered. It is natural bushland camping, all centred around the main facility. Flora and Fauna lists available on request.
