We are fortunate to have the Warren National Park on our doorstep, and a commercial license to operate tours and camping in our National Parks. Graeme and I started WA Wilderness in 2014 as part of our 'Pemberton Discovery Tours' when the then 'Department of Conservation' realised that there were a lot of people who don't do camping due to a multitude of factors; these include: Time, Lack of Equipment, Newbie's who want to 'give it a go' before investing in expensive camping equipment and even baby moons, or camping with little children when every inch of space in the car is precious. So, we operate in the Warren National Park, it is some 8000Ha of National Park and stunningly beautiful Karri Forest, our campsites are located near the Warren River and are separate, so although you may see other campers you are not on top of each other. We set up everything for you, so all you have to do is turn up with your food and your family. To keep our pricing down we offer optional linen, so you can choose to bring your favourite doona. The sites are also unpowered however we offer 12V lighting and the option for a portable toilet. (There is a toilet on site as well.) There are steps leading into the river, the perfect place to paddle or dip your feet. We have a maximum of 8 sites on location here so there is plenty of space for privacy. We are only 15 minutes from the beautiful town of Pemberton, complete with wineries, galleries, restaurants, shopping and much more! You may also wish to join a tour or two - the Pemberton Tram runs daily, and we give you mates rates on our tours. We find our camps are perfect for busy people, who wish to try / go camping and value the opportunity to turn up to a complete camp, set up for you to enjoy from the start.

Half the farm is dedicated to cropping and open fields, with the remaining given over to regrowth and natural river bank forest. Go for bush walks on the property, birdwatching, orchid hunting, flat water canoeing in the river (conditions permitting). There is plenty of wildlife to spot, with Kangaroos and Echidnas making the river bank their home and plenty of bird life. Night spotlighting and you may see owls, kangaroos, possums and other marsupials. The Pallinup is a naturally salty river and is not palatable. We are within easy reach of the Stirling Range and the iconic Bluff Knoll. See the mountains from the farm and know what walking conditions will be like. September to October is the peak wild flower season, but there is something flowering all year. Use the farm as a base to explore the Stirling Range and the surrounding farming district of the Gnowangerup Shire. The farm is along the Horse Power Highway where visitors can see a collection of quirky tractors – download the tractor map. Take a day trip through the Stirling Range Drive and to the Porongurups, where you can stop at wineries along the way. Kalynda is a completely off grid property. Located up a private bush track. Dogs are welcome (campsite only, possibly cottage on request) but please keep them on leash at all times. Firewood is provided for free. Please note there is approximately 25kms of gravel road . If you come in Boyup Brook way thru to Dinninup , there's only a couple of km. The dam is unsuitable to swim in at present due to the drought. Hope you love our place as much as we do!

We only accept one booking at a time, so you're guaranteed privacy and plenty of space, as you have the entire property to yourselves. 20% discount for weeknights, that is Sunday night through to Thursday night. Come alone or bring your group to camp on our 95 acres of peace and quiet, on our off-grid property in Forest Hill. Note: There is no actual beach at Eddies Beach. Campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and leave no trace. Groups of up to 6 families (people who know each other) can be accommodated at any one time. As you are the only ones camping, you're welcome to make a bit of noise (music, generators etc). The rate is $38 for up to two adults, per night, $19 per extra adult per night, and any accompanying children (under 18) are free. Note: Please still add children to the booking, you will not be charged, but it's important we know numbers. Whilst the Hipcamp website considers children as anyone under 13 years of age, we consider them as anyone under 18, and are happy for you to create the booking accordingly. Campfires are permitted in the designated area only, provided conditions are suitable and there are no local fire bans (can change daily). We will advise campers on arrival and any changes throughout your stay. Firewood can be provided. Whilst any time is good for camping, we recommend trying to time your trip with the New Moon and Full Moon - the skies here are brilliant at night! Marvel at the Milky Way from your hammock, or see the countryside lit up at night by the full moon. Well-behaved, trained, socialised and fully vaccinated pets are welcome too. Telstra and Optus work in most areas. We have free WIFI at the designated campsite area. We are located 19km from Mt Barker, surrounded by local wineries, including West Cape Howe, Poachers Ridge, Arcadia and Gilberts. The property makes a great base camp for day trips to Denmark, Albany, Mt Barker, Stirling Ranges and the Porongurup Ranges. IMPORTANT: NO FIREARMS. NO SWIMMING IN DAMS. Be mindful, this is a working property. No entry to sheds without prior approval from management. The dams and streams are unfenced, care should be exercised around these areas especially with small children. For those campers who need extra sleeping arrangements for friends or family who wish to join your camp and don't have the ability to camp, we may be able to offer a solution. Speak to us directly when making the booking. We look forward to welcoming you. The property is new for camping and under continual improvement, so we would love your feedback. We are not a commercial campground. We have two (2) pet enclosures that measure approx. 1.8 x 4 mt, half enclosed with video surveillance so you can keep an eye on your pet from your phone while you enjoy the wineries, mountain climbing, national parks or just a day out by yourselves. The pet owner is required to provide bedding, water and food for the pet in the enclosure.

We are closed for the summer harvest season, see you at Easter 2026, 20 kms south of Gnowangerup and 30 kms north of the Stirling Range, Kybelup Crossing Camp is located on our farm Kalynda and is found on the banks of the upper reaches of the Pallinup River at the Kybelup Crossing. We are a 90 hectare working farm, surrounded by large boardacre cropping farms. There is reasonable phone reception for Telstra customers only – enjoy the serenity and go off-line for a weekend. The camp sites are private, within an easy stroll of the river and the house yard. Campers need to be self sufficient (including bringing their own toilet) and leave no trace. Dogs are permitted but need to be restrained. Camp fires are permitted in the open fire season in the designated fire pits. Closest shop and fuel is at Gnowangerup (20kms) with limited opening hours on weekends and public holidays. Kybelup Crossing Camp is open for campers from Easter until mid October. We are closed over the summer and harvest period. Optional extras include: tank water, cut firewood.

Welcome to Home and Hound Kendenup (STRA6323L6R4BKUZ), a haven of tranquility in the heart of the Great Southern region of WA. Established in late 2021 by a Perth couple seeking a lifestyle change, our farmstay echoes the charm of its predecessor, the beloved 'Big Bird and Wolf Chalets,' which delighted guests since 2001. Remaining true to its dog-friendly roots, Home and Hound offers three enchanting chalet options, preserving the welcoming spirit that made it a favorite. Our 30-acre property, just 8km from Kendenup township and 15km from Mt Barker, boasts dog exercise areas, an ornamental lake, and breathtaking views of the Stirling Ranges from the hilltop. As stewards of sustainability, we take pride in our eco-friendly practices. Rainwater sustains the entire property, and our commitment to reducing waste includes recycling single-use plastics as seedling trays in our large greenhouse. Embracing renewable energy, we utilize solar power while the sun is out, while wood fires, sourced from our own trees, provide warmth in winter. Our flourishing fruit trees and indoor vegetable garden yield seasonal delights, and our resident chickens not only enjoy food scraps but also gift us with farm-fresh eggs. Experience the serenity of Home and Hound, where a blend of history, nature, and sustainability creates an inviting retreat for both humans and their furry companions.
