While The Love Shack is a private cabin, perfect for intimate getaways for couples we also offer larger group bookings for extended family / and or friend groups with the need for a normal bedroom/bathroom option. The camping area around the cabin is suitable for tents/vans and can easiliy accommodate larger groups. There are three under cover areas for group camping use :- an outdoor kitchen area with sink, bench space and a full size fridge/freezer, an enclosed pen with an extra BBQ, There is a large covered area with a 100" pull down projector screen (bring your own projector for movie nights and fun). A full set of lawn games is also available. The Shack is a two night minimum stay and sleeps two. Extra guests are welcome in a tents/vans outside at an extra cost per person. The Shack has one bedroom with linen available as an extra, a small open plan kitchen with fridge, kettle and mini cooker. The living room features a little combustion woodfire heater. Camping enthusiasts can enjoy a level, grassy site with spectacular views across the Tarra River to the forest, or behind you across the paddocks. We are only 3 kms away from the Tarra Bulga National Park and 10 kms from the historic town of Yarram if you need any supplies. Woodside Beach, Welshpool and Port Albert are within easy reach too.

Hilltop Hideaway is situated 210kms from Melbourne in Seaton - Gippsland, Victoria. Just 10 minutes drive to the township of Heyfield and Lake Glenmaggie. This unique property is located on 150 acres of rolling hills bordering the State Forest. It has amazing views of the Great Dividing Range, as well as local towns, farmlands and Lake Glenmaggie. Our 10 square metre, 1 bedroom cabin sleeps up to 4 with 1 queen bed and 1 double futon in living area (bedding included). It has a fully equipped kitchen, open lounge dining area, bathroom, wood fire and is solar powered. We can accommodate up to an additional 16 people ($20 pp/pn) camping beside the cabin, with there own tent, caravan, swag, cutley etc. The property has an abundance of wildlife including Sambar deer, Kangaroos, Wallabies and Birds, which can all be seen by walking/hiking the property. Relax and unwind taking in the breathtaking views while sitting around the open campfire. You also have phone reception. My partner and I had a wonderful time at the Love Shack, one of those places that makes you want to extend your stay and come again. The scenery was beautiful and the amenities were plenty! We camped on the grass with a tent and it rained our last night but the ground stayed solid and not muddy, helpful for when we were packing up. Will definitely return again hopefully with friends this time!

The Love Shack was absolutely exquisite in every way shape and form. Charming, cosy, warm, and delightfully secluded. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The space had an enchanting atmosphere that made it feel both magical and intimate. Kate’s thoughtful touches were evident throughout and genuinely appreciated, adding a layer of care that made the experience feel even more special. Although we had planned to explore the nearby national park, we found ourselves not wanting to leave the environment at all and just simply soaking up the beautiful energy of the space. It truly was the perfect weekend escape. Thank you so much, Kate we’ll definitely be back!

Such a beautiful spot! My friend and I had the perfect weekend away, she was very comfortable in the “love shack” and I stayed in my RV out the front. sitting by the fire inside was magical and toasty warm. I happened to meet the lovely hosts as they were heading out and they went out of their way to help me out with an issue I had. I can’t wait to stay again maybe with a big group!

Weekend Trip to Hilltop Hideaway

Absolutely gorgeous place, amazing views, well looked after and greatly equipped for our group. The shed was great for gathering, the fireplace (with firewood organised by owners!) was a plus, and having one of the toilets and sink outside the cabin was super convenient. The communication was great and instructions easy to follow. It is close enough to Lake Glenmaggie to spend the day, and the sunrise and sunset at the cabin was great entertainment. 100% would recommend

We loved staying here at the "Love Shack", the location is beautiful and so peaceful. we had a small group that setup tents in addition to the Shack, brought a couple of kids and dogs and they had an incredible time, the lawn games were a massive hit. The location also is perfect, close to hiking beaches, main town of Yarram with a beautiful backdrop when at the shack. the setup is fantastic, bbq each night, then relax by the indoor or outdoor fireplace. Kate was fantastic and very friendly and helpful when called on. Thank you Kate for a wonderful space and time away from Melbourne.

We had the best trip ever, 4 families. It was ideal having the cabin as a backup. Which paid off as we lost our tent on the second night due to storms. Children loved running around playing. Fire pit was brilliant. View magnificent Shed as an add on was brilliant. Hammock, kids toys, cutlery, cups, chairs etc. it was so useful and made our trip perfect.
