The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running.
Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking
Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. The sites are clearly sign posted so if you ae going to be very late we may not see you till the following morning. That way we can make arrangements to be on-site to check you in. If needed, late check in within daylight hours can be arranged subject to our availability.

Welcome! Whether you’re here for beach days, bushwalks, good food or a relaxing soak, there’s plenty to enjoy around the Mornington Peninsula. Here are a few local favourites to help you make the most of your stay.
Beaches, bushwalks and beautiful views
- Kings Falls: A lovely local bushwalk, starting from the Kings Falls car park on Waterfall Gully Road. Allow about an hour to explore the fern-lined gullies and seasonal waterfall. There are hills and steps, so bring sturdy shoes.
- McCrae Beach: Our favourite local beach—pack a picnic, enjoy the sand and take a wander past McCrae Lighthouse.
- Rosebud Beach and Pier: An easy choice for a relaxed afternoon, with a foreshore playground, picnic spots and the Bay Trail for walking or cycling.
- Arthurs Seat and Seawinds Gardens: Enjoy bay views, garden walks and a picnic, or take the Eagle gondola above the treetops.
- A little further afield: Try the Red Hill Rail Trail for a countryside walk, Millionaire’s Walk for coastal views near Sorrento, or Cape Schanck for dramatic ocean scenery.

- The Pig & Whistle, Main Ridge: A favourite for a relaxed family pub meal and outdoor dining.
- Alatonero, McCrae: Greek food opposite the beach—an appealing way to finish a beach day.

Unwind or make a day of it
For a relaxing outing, book a soak at Peninsula Hot Springs, whose Bath House welcomes all ages. Alba Thermal Springs & Spa and Aurora Spa & Bathhouse in Sorrento are also options for a pampering day. Check each venue’s packages and age policies before booking.
For a leisurely food and wine outing, try Foxeys Hangout, Polperro, Montalto or Pt. Leo Estate. Combine a visit to Pt. Leo Estate with its Sculpture Park, or head to St Andrews Beach Brewery for a casual brewery outing. Arrange a designated driver if you’re tasting.
Something for the adventurous
Enchanted Adventure at Arthurs Seat is a fun outing for families and active adults. Tree Surfing offers obstacles and ziplines among the trees; check age and height requirements when booking.
An easy weekend idea
Spend your first day exploring Kings Falls, followed by lunch and an afternoon at McCrae Beach. On day two, enjoy the views at Arthurs Seat, then choose a hinterland lunch or a hot springs soak before returning to camp.
Check current opening hours, bookings and park conditions before setting out, especially during holidays. Bring water, sun protection and a warm layer, and check dog restrictions for each destination. At the beach, follow local signs and swim between the flags wherever patrols are operating.
Enjoy exploring—and leave yourself some time to relax back at camp!

Pollys paddock is named after a beautiful palomino horse named Polly, who lived here as a loved member of our family into her early 40s.
Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples, mates , friends , camping (adults only), no children, under the age 16, for safety reasons with a dam close by.
Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses.
We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches.
This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block.
We offer 2 flat caravan or tent sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power.
There is also a site with a glamping tent set in the garden.
The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided.
It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks.
All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet, and out doors bath.
For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam.
Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater.
Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here.
No dogs on the glamping tent site.
Campfires are allowed during the cooler months, left to the hosts discretion for safety reasons. We supply a fire pit. BYO wood.
No fires apart from in the fire pits provided are to be lit. Fires are to be extinguished before going to bed or leaving.

What a great way to enjoy a circuit break from everyday busyness. Cannavale Farm was just the recharge we needed. Site 4 overlooks the dam with the beautiful valley and mountain range as the perfect backdrop. Craig met us on arrival and was so friendly and welcoming. The sites are quite generous in size so you can set up however you want to optimise the magnificent views. Pet friendly, our fur baby was so chilled. What a nice place. Just an hour from home but it really nice for a short weekend getaway. We usually only drive through Bunyip area. So much to see and do in the area. The sites offer an amazing view. The sunset was amazing too. The host are amazing too. We will be back and explore the farm a bit more. See you next time!

Such a great day/night at Shelly and Craigs farm! The kids had such fun seeing all the animals....they even got a ride on Craig's tractor. So hospitable and welcoming. Oh, by the way, the views are stunning while such a short drive from melbourne. We'll be back :)

I just finished my second stay at this campsite and will definitely be back again. The grounds are always spotlessly clean, well maintained, and really easy to get to, which makes arriving and setting up super straightforward.
Hosts Shelley and Craig are consistently friendly, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. Last night my stove ignition failed and I was stuck without a way to cook, but they completely saved me by lending me a match at short notice. It’s small things like that which show how much they care about their guests.
If you’re looking for a clean, convenient, and well‑run campsite with great hosts, this is an easy recommendation.

Had a peaceful quiet camping experience at Cannavale farm stay / would definitely recommend it! Craig made us feel very welcome, he was so lovely to talk to, and also had a playful time with Bonnie and Scruffy. 💯 recommend this place!

What a stunning getaway, an hour from home.
From the minute we drove through the gates and saw that view, we were greeted by a friendly face, you made us feel so welcome, it was like a home away from home. The stress of even normal suburban life seemed to leave both our bodies in an instant.
An hour later we were siting around the campfire with views out over the dam and jetty to the mountains in the background, over arched by a breathtaking sunset of orange and pink.
Thankyou for allowing us the opportunity to experience a taste of your everyday it made my wife’s birthday, can’t wait to come back with the grandkids

I really enjoyed staying at the NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Park Ensuite Site. It offers easy access to the beach and it is only a short walk to Thompson Avenue and the Cowes pier. The Ensuite Site is perfect for a stop over or for a longer stay. Great place to refresh after a few nights out bush camping. Highly recommended!
