Welcome to The Farm at JU Buffalo! Our property is a 6.5 acre hobby farm consisting of chickens, sheep, lambs, koalas, various birds and our resident dogs. There are 3 self-contained (Caravans, Motorhomes and Camper Vans with Shower/Toilets Only) sites available to choose from that are all located around our beautiful dam and there's even a doggy paddock for your fur babies to run around off lead in.

Rancho Nirvana is a fantastic spot for a relaxing camping experience. Marc is a wonderful host and Murray the dog was a most welcome guest during our stay. Amenities are excellent/ as advertised. We didn’t use the pool but others took advantage during some very hot weather. Great location, close enough for coastal excursions etc. A great stay.

We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed our time here. Jana was an exceptional host — incredibly helpful, with clear instructions for everything, regularly checking in, and even delivering us fresh berries to enjoy, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The property is a working berry farm with plenty of space to explore, and it was wonderfully dog-friendly, which we loved. friendly. There are three campsites on the property, but they are well spaced apart, so you don’t see or hear other campers, which made it feel very private and peaceful.
The lake/dam was a real highlight — perfect for cooling off on hot days. Having kayaks and paddle boards available made it even better, and it was such a relaxing place to unwind.
We would absolutely recommend this stay and would love to come back.

My dogs and I loved camping at Jana's berry farm. Such a beautiful property and the site was nice and private and the other campsites were not visible. The days were hot so we made full use of the creek with kayaks and stand up paddle board. The dogs had a blast swimming and we thoroughly enjoyed the berries. This is now my new favorite hip camp and I can't wait to go back!

Marc is a great host and keeps his property in perfect appearance. His dog Murray is very friendly and the chickens and geese roam around freely and kept our children and grand children entertained. The swimming pool and trampoline was appreciated as well. We would definitely return.

Marc’s little piece of serenity was just what we needed as a family coming together after Christmas. The boys loved the chickens and Murray was just a delight, making himself at home in our camp.

Great location, close enough to cycle to local wineries. Easy access and level site. Nice facilities although we didn’t use them (kitchen, pool etc), great to sit by the campfire under the stars. Power, water and clean indoor WC. We stayed for 2 nights, Marc was friendly & helpful and Murray the Staffy was very sweet.

Still close enough for toilet. We had a great fire and there very generous with the fire wood bundles
Jana is very helpful and accommodating as a host
Took the time to make sure we had a great day picking all the different types of berries available. Will be going back again and try the site nearer to the lake.

This was a top spot to spend the weekend. Great facilities? great hosts ,Laura? Troy and King Billy and the dogs made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend this Hipcamp , dog friendly you can have a campfire, and its so close to many Gippsland attractions. We will be back again.

Where to go
Summerlands
On the southwestern tip of Phillip Island, Summerlands is home to the island’s main attraction, the Penguin Parade. The natural spectacle of tens of thousands of penguins emerging from the ocean and waddling toward their nests takes place just after sunset every evening. Nearby you’ll find Nobbies Centre, outside of which you can see fur seals and birds, then learn about them through interactive displays. As Summerlands is a protected area, you’ll need to set up camp a little farther away. Nevertheless, you’ll find camping areas within a 10-minute drive.
Ventnor
In the small town of Ventnor, just a five-minute drive from the Penguin Parade, camping options include upscale glamping near Berry’s Beach and rural settings near Ventnor Beach.
Cowes
As the island’s main township, Cowes is home to several accommodation options, including camping areas. Your choices include family-friendly holiday parks with access to both the beach and nearby shops and restaurants.
Newhaven
