You must bring your own linen and pillows. All beds have fitted mattress protectors, which must not be slept on directly. No dogs are to sleep on the beds. There is a broom inside the caravan, so please sweep out if your dog is staying inside on BYO bed.
NOTE: We only ever host one group at a time, so you’ll have the place to yourselves. You are welcome to hike the site, and feed the birds (we often supply bird seed). Otherwise just enjoy the peace and the views.

- There is no power, no toilet, and no plumbed water
- A small supply of rainwater is available (not connected to the caravan)
- A camp toilet IS required, and all rubbish must be taken with you. It is not acceptable to use the surrounding bushland as your toilet.

Licola is a small and attractive village beside the Macalister River, 254 kilometers east of Melbourne. Licola is a great place to use as a base camp for you to 4wd, Hike, Mountain bike, motorbike and canoeing in high country. We offer accommodation in the form of Houses that consist of 3 to 4 bedrooms all with kitchenette, toilets and showers. Each house can sleep from 18 to 20 people in bunk style accommodation. With access to the pool and River to Lauch your canoe it is a perfect place for summer fun. All houses have split system air conditioning and heating. We also have a communal large self cater kitchen and large communal BBQ area. It is the only privately owned town in Victoria and the only one not on mains power. The town generates its own power, pumps and treats its own water and is also responsible for its waste management.

The views are beautiful. Very secure garden for Leo our dog.
The instructions were clear and easy to understand. Caravan was cosy and warm we did take a winter doona which helped.
We didn’t use the bbq as we cooked on our own stove and on the fire. Having the extra undercover section made everything a lot easier for us. The parakeets were super cute and would come for a feed and were super friendly.
Definitely returning this was a little hidden gem for us!

Weekend Trip to Blackwood Cabin
We had the most wonderful weekend staying here and honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is absolutely beautiful – so peaceful, cosy and surrounded by stunning scenery. Waking up to the fresh country air and relaxing by the fire made it the perfect little getaway.
The Geoff and Ann were incredible from start to finish. They were so welcoming, kind, helpful and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and making us feel right at home. Their hospitality really made our stay extra special.
You can tell so much love and care has gone into this place, and it made it so easy to switch off and relax. We left feeling refreshed (and a little sad to be leaving!).
We can’t recommend this beautiful cabin enough and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for having us!

We loved our stay at Anne and Geoff's cabin. My son loved the open space, and the cow and sheep wandering through, plus the pond with goldfish. We definitely needed the indoor fire and the outdoor fire pit was lovely to have too. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all and have a digital detox :)

We had the most amazing stay! The cabin is so cosy and falling asleep to the crackle of the fire was so relaxing. We loved being off grid and exploring the bushland around. Ann & Geoff were so lovely and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend Blackwood Cabin for anyone wanting to slow down and reset from their busy lives. Stunning place to stay. The view is incredible and although it rained almost our whole stay, it didn’t bother us at all with all the undercover space this place has. The caravan was clean and cosy to sleep in and with the fully fenced space this place was fantastic for us to come away with our dog.

Amazing stay with breathtaking views. I experienced sunrises, sunsets, fog and rain — all equally beautiful. Loved seeing kangaroos and hearing kookaburras. The fenced property was perfect for my dog. Peaceful and private highly recommend!

2 nights at Galea Ranch
The glamping experience was superb! Hosts are lovely, welcoming and genuinely care about the property, animals, and guests. Almost everything was provided, towels/bedding/plates/cups/bowls/bbq tools/papertowel/shampoo/conditioner/toothbush/tea/coffee/bottle of wine/bug repellant/drinking water/fire wood. We made yummy breakfast using the freshly laid chook eggs! You will need you own saucepan for cooking but Webber, bbq plate, and kettle provided. Reception was patchy for us but we found a good spot. There is a heater in the tent but we didn't need it. No noise from traffic. Very peaceful. Lots of wildlife and well as very friendly farm animals. Peaches has a special place in our heart. No access to power so bring a power bank or two. Flushing toilet was perfect. We loved every bit of our stay and will be back. Thanks Sharelle, Wayne, Jemma and Peaches.

Was great, exactly what we expected for a nice quiet weekend away. Great view over the lake. One thing we loved was the shade when needed from all the trees. And the Van was nice and cosy.

Blackwood cabin is perfect for a small family escape. Lots of kookaburras and other birds.
It has everything you need and our puppa loved it. Ann and Geoff are extremely lovely and helpful

The photos of the cabin dont do it justice! It is absolutely idyllic and the paddock and river were great for the dog. Ann and Geoff were absolutely fantastic hosts and our only regret was we didn't stay long enough!

Weekend Trip to Blackwood Cabin
Blackwood cabin is in such a beautiful spot, it was so peaceful to listen to the nearby river and birds. The cabin is very cosy with the fireplace inside and very well appointed. It was a lovely place to spend a weekend and relax and visit neighbouring towns for dinner and sightseeing. Lovely and welcoming hosts, thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Weekend Trip to Facta Glamping
Driving into the beautiful property, greeted by gorgeous horses, we knew we were in for a treat! The glamping tent pitched high on the hill overlooking Howes Inlet was just spectacular. Beautifully presented, amazingly comfortable and cozy bed with electric blankets and beautiful linen. A loo with a view!
We sat by the fire-pit, eating nibbles and watching the sun go down, we lit the fire tub and soaked under the star lit sky with a glass of red, it was bliss.
In the morning we watched a beautiful sunrise up over the hills.
Directions to the property were well written and Sam and Jess were easy to communicate with.
Would highly recommend facta glamping and would love to stay again!

We had an amazing stay at Facta Glamping! The site was beautifully set up with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway! Peaceful views, comfy beds, and a great outdoor setup for the fire and tub. Jess was fantastic to deal with, super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. Couldn’t recommend this place more for a perfect glamping experience!

Weekend Trip to Breakaway Twin Rivers Caravan Park
We stayed at Breakaway Twin Rivers Park last week in the 3 bedroom cabin. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and convenient. we really enjoyed our stay, Reception was so helpful and told us of the towns near by and also brought over our fire pit and wood. Very friendly and caring! The scenery was Amazing and we are sad we couldn’t get a spot for christmas time as it would be amazing. we are re booking in a few months to take our family. can’t wait to be back!! Amazing location
