Access is easy, with a gently sloping, solid gravel driveway leading to a flat gravel area for parking and turning. There’s a level grassy area perfect for pitching a tent, and you're welcome to park under cover in the carport.
Other Things to Note
My private caravan is parked in the carport and is not available for hire or use. However, you’ll have the entire property to yourself — I won’t be onsite during your stay.
There are cows on the seven-acre property, however, the campsite area is approx. 1/2 acre and is encapsulated by its own fence and is cow-free. You are welcome to wander around the rest of the property where the cows are and down into the forest. Please see the aerial photo for the property boundary. There is a picturesque spring-fed creek, but please be mindful that there may be leeches in the muddy parts of the banks, so sturdy boots are recommended. Remember to check your pets too.
This campsite is best suited to self-contained campers who bring their own toilet, shower, and drinking water. There are no bathroom facilities on-site, but a public toilet is just a one-minute drive away in Beech Forest.
Art Reach Cafe Gallery is just a short stroll away, and The Perch restaurant in Lavers Hill is about a 20-minute drive. Please check their opening hours, especially during the low season.

Please check seasonal fire restrictions and respect Total Fire Ban days. BYO firewood or purchase a bag onsite for $15. Please use the designated fire pit in the open space and ensure your fire is fully extinguished before leaving.

Madge and Neil were great hosts and it’s a beautiful spot on the Bellerine closely located to all major attractions such as Beaches, Wineries and a Theme Park. They personally greeted us as we arrived and the little communal area and toilet are a really nice touch. 10/10 would book again.

Madge and Neil were great hosts! They were extremely welcoming from the start of our trip and met us to show us the campsite. Site 3 was wonderful, with a huge space and nicely situated around some trees. It has a very small incline, but not much of a hinderance for setting up tents/gazebos. The toliet facility is clean, and the kitchen area is great for washing up. Would definitely come back here again!

We had an awesome time at Afton Park, Madge was a fantastic hostess. We have stayed at a few hip camps in the past and the facilities at Afton Park impressed us. The location was close to Port Arlington and Ocean Grove. We had an issue with our caravan and Neil from Aftom Park helped us, "Thanks Neil". Thoroughly recommend Afton Park. Cheers Russell

What a beautiful spot. Jumped in the car for a lovely time at Ocean Grove dog beach, enjoyed lunch at Flying Brick, and relaxed around the campsite for the afternoon. Nice big open space for the kids and dog to play. The toilet was a nice facility to have (clean and well looked after). And Madge was lovely - friendly and helpful, while also allowing us to have our space. We will be back Madge - cheers!

The camping ground was nicely kept and peaceful even with other people and families around (school holidays). It is surrounded by forest and farm land in a quiet town so you will wake up to the sound of birds, cows and kookaburras. We even heard a Koala at night!!
The amenities are great . Proper kitchen set up (stove, fridge, tables) as well as normal open camping kitchen around the campsite. The toilets were clean with hot water. We had our dog with us and there were a couple others during our stay and everything went smoothly.
Close enough to walks and waterfalls it's a great location if you want to do the Great Ocean Road while staying in a quiet area.
We absolutely love it and will definitely come back!

Madge and Neil went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay at Afton Park. They were friendly and ensured amenities were clean and well stocked. Sites were lovely under the trees of their property and well distanced from the other sites, so was private. My dog absolutely loved her stay there as well, lots of space for her to explore around the site. Would definitely recommend!

I loved camping in my van with my two dogs at Afton Park! Madge and Neil were so kind and helpful - nothing was too difficult for them. Literally the only thing I could say a word against was the mosquitoes, but they were only bad for one night and then they vanished! Nothing we couldn't handle 😄 A lovely quiet and peaceful stay, only 10 minutes from the beach. Could not recommend highly enough!

Madges Hipcamp is close to ocean grove/Barwon heads and much of the bellarine. Madge provided clean toilet facilities and a camp kitchen with sink and water, mozzie repellents, cleaning goods. There were rubbish and recycling bins, and fireplaces, one of which was stacked up with wood. The sites are huge and flat with nice shade trees around the outside of the field. There are only four sites to a very large area. Plenty of room to spread out.

Great caretaker could not be more helpful and great spot to explore Otways from. Only downside was not enough toilets and showers for the amount of campers. Porta loos were helping but only a couple of showers for hundreds of guests. Enjoyed our stay.
