Pollys paddock is named after a beautiful palomino horse named Polly, who lived here as a loved member of our family into her early 40s. Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples only camping (adults only), no children, for safety reasons with a dam close by. Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses. We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches. This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block. We offer 2 flat caravan sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power. There is a site with a glamping tent set in the garden. The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided. It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks. All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet. For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam. Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater. Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here. No dogs on the glamping tent site. Campfires are allowed during the cooler months, left to the hosts discretion for safety reasons. We supply a fire pit. BYO wood. No fires apart from in the fire pits provided are to be lit. Fires are to be extinguished before going to bed or leaving. My son and I camped here in January.. There are wonderful surprises everywhere to be found. Geoff and Amanda are obviously artisans and have kindly shared their home and passion for hosting. Amanda met us and showed us around the property and all the many conveniences available. I especially liked the open air bath tub and expansive lush lawn areas. There was another camping group our first night which was distanced enough to let us share our own space with our dog. 5mins drive from beaches and restaurants. Electricity available. Composting toilet was surprisingly modern and pleasant. Glamping tent we had a tour of was absolutely gorgeous. Mini fridge, bbq full size bed and rugs. Fancy a.f .

Weekend Trip to Polly's Paddock

Staying here felt like stepping into an enchanted garden. Amanda greeted us at the front gate and took the time to show us around the property she was incredibly friendly, kind, and approachable. The facilities were immaculate, with everything thoughtfully provided. We especially loved the outdoor shower and bath under the trees at sunset such a beautiful and relaxing experience. It’s obvious Amanda puts a huge amount of care and pride into the gardens; they are absolutely stunning. You can also tell the hosts have been caravanning themselves, because everything you could possibly need has been considered and made available. We ended up extending our stay just to enjoy the place a little longer. It’s also perfectly located, with so much to see and explore in the surrounding areas. A truly special spot that we’d happily return to and highly recommend.

Madge and Neil went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay at Afton Park. They were friendly and ensured amenities were clean and well stocked. Sites were lovely under the trees of their property and well distanced from the other sites, so was private. My dog absolutely loved her stay there as well, lots of space for her to explore around the site. Would definitely recommend!

This place is really fantastic. We were welcomed and introduced to the facilities by Amanda, and we enjoyed all of it, but especially the outdoor bathtube looking at and listening to birds. We also enjoyed having our dinner in the outdoor kitchen area and the lights in the garden after sunset.

I highly recommend staying at Polly’s Paddock. The paddock has been transformed into beautiful gardens. It’s a lovely environment to sit, relax and share food / drink with friends. The hosts are lovely and make you feel very welcome. I hope to be able to go again, although it’s a long way from the UK!

I loved camping in my van with my two dogs at Afton Park! Madge and Neil were so kind and helpful - nothing was too difficult for them. Literally the only thing I could say a word against was the mosquitoes, but they were only bad for one night and then they vanished! Nothing we couldn't handle 😄 A lovely quiet and peaceful stay, only 10 minutes from the beach. Could not recommend highly enough!

This is the best place we have ever stayed. It’s easy to access and very private. The gardens are beautiful and the camp kitchen very well set up. But the best bit is the beautiful bath/shower looking out into the gardens. We also saw 3 lovely little ringtail possums in a tree. I hope to come back and stay longer next time. Thanks Amanda and Geoff.

Madges Hipcamp is close to ocean grove/Barwon heads and much of the bellarine. Madge provided clean toilet facilities and a camp kitchen with sink and water, mozzie repellents, cleaning goods. There were rubbish and recycling bins, and fireplaces, one of which was stacked up with wood. The sites are huge and flat with nice shade trees around the outside of the field. There are only four sites to a very large area. Plenty of room to spread out.

We had a wonderful stay at Amanda’s place. Everything was really well set up, with lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel comfortable and welcoming. The outdoor bath was a highlight, and it’s only a short drive to the beaches and shops. Amanda was a lovely host and made everything easy. We’d happily stay again and would definitely recommend it.
