A short 20 minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal, Ulverstone is the perfect base to commence a tour of Tasmania including some of the state’s popular attractions Cradle Mountain, Leven Canyon, Gunns Plains Caves and the Tarkine Coast. Along the way you will pass Blue Hills Honey Farm and The Colony Cafe (well worth the calories!). Back down the road towards the highway is the Millicent Valley walking trail and once back to the highway junction you can walk along several long, sandy beaches or head east to find Rocky Cape National Park with spectacular hiking tracks, swimming and fishing spots. The unpowered site 7 was great. We virtually had the whole site to ourselves and the weather although cold was great. Close to Rocky Cape and Lanigans Winery which is well worth the visit.

We loved Crayfish Creek. We stayed at a powered site near the amenities block, which was really suitable with young kids. It was such a luxury to have hot showers as well! We stayed for 4 nights in this safe and beautiful location to be in - our family loved it. There are many little tracks around the place to explore, as well as the picturesque bush, creek and beach.

Great location to explore the surrounding area. Lush gardens with spaced out sites. Lovely to walk from the park out to the ocean at low tide. Dated but well functioning amenities including washers and dryers. Bring 20 cent and dollar coins for showers, washers and dryers.

Sandy’s Gates of Heaven truly lives up to its name. I was lucky enough to enjoy this beautiful property all to myself, and it was absolute bliss. The firepit added a perfect touch, and the trees sprinkled with soft lighting created a magical setting for stargazing and unwinding. Sandy was incredibly accommodating, and her attention to detail made the stay even more special. I couldn’t recommend this place more—already looking forward to my next visit!

We enjoyed the relaxed peacefulness of this camp spot. Surrounded by bush and bird sounds. The Camo is close to the road but was quiet still. The weather was beautiful while we were there so we didn't take the opportunity to make use of the fire pit area provided. We enjoyed a wander around the property and explored some of the tracks. The camp is just a short drive to Sheffield, Railton, Kimberly and even Mole Creek which would make it a great base to explore the sites around the area.

Lovely spot! Our site was very private and close to the beach/creek but others look less private so choose as you need. Owners are lovely! It was great being dog friendly and the facilities were good too. Hot showers, washing machine, and well maintained camp kitchen.

We camped for 5 nights in a beautiful bushy and spacious site, couple of minutes walk from the creek, an absolute hit with the kids. Traveled to Rocky Cape NP (very close by), Stanley, Marrawah. Only improvement would have been more fitting kitchen equipment.

Wow, best value camp site I've EVER camped at. Right on the beach, clean modern amenities, amazing camp "kitchen" with fireplace, lounges, recliner, music player to plug your phone into, 2 fridges, 2 microwaves, and more. Our site was nice grass with power and water hook up and the sounds of gentle waves to put you to sleep. The park is well maintained and the hosts super friendly. Hot showers are only $1 for 7 minutes.
