It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals.
There's an orchard, hothouse and a Raspberry patch which may be my favourite spot when they're fruiting.
It really is an amazing lifestyle, peaceful, relaxing and rewarding.

Ladybug Camping 🐞 is a private campground offering a serene and immersive escape in Oldina, North West Tasmania 🌿. Set within a sheltered valley among towering Silver wattle, Man ferns and Blackwood trees, our 50-acre bushland retreat features three private waterfalls and a babbling creek that winds through the property—perfect for families, couples, and groups seeking peace, privacy, and connection with nature.
The naturally protected valley shields guests from wind, creating comfortable camping conditions year-round. Wildlife encounters are common, with platypus gliding through the creek, Tasmania’s giant freshwater crayfish hiding beneath the rocks, pademelons grazing at dusk, and abundant birdlife throughout the day 🦆.
Our spacious, private campsites cater to all camping styles. Some sites are self-contained, while others are tent-only for a more immersive bush experience. We offer sites ideal for caravans, campervans, rooftop tents, and group bookings, alongside more secluded sites perfect for couples and solo travellers. A well-maintained toilet is available for guest comfort.
Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire pit—ideal for outdoor meals, cozy fireside evenings, and stargazing under Tasmania’s clear night skies ✨. Some sites enjoy direct or near-direct access to waterfalls and swimming holes, including our popular Falls Edge site just metres from the cascades. Others sit peacefully beside the creek, offering tranquil water views—every site has its own unique charm.

Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area.

I started living here permanently seven years ago, most of the property's out dwellings and the Cabin is built from recycled, reclaimed materials or been handed down.
I am fully off the grid and in the process of trying to become self-sufficient.
The water is pumped from a springfed dam and mostly gravity-ed.
It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals.
There's an orchard, hothouse and a Raspberry patch which may be my favourite spot when they're fruiting.
It really is an amazing lifestyle, peaceful, relaxing and rewarding.
You should come see for yourself 😉

The campsites are secluded and separated by enough space to make you feel as you are the only people staying there.

Pleasant and quiet spot near the beautiful bushland above Penguin. We hiked and rode our bikes and generally relaxed. Great views (when the weather is clear) and lots of power and water. Toilets but no showers. Big shout out to Remy the dog, who is very cheeky and loved to snooze outside our awning (and inside when she could sneak in).
