This property features all the elements required for a camping adventure. Located on Bruny Island on an open paddock in a bush setting, you will have 60 acres to explore or relax in complete privacy. Arrive here using Sealink Bruny Island ferry. and take the Blinkbonny Rd Turn off traveling for approx 500m from the corner. The campsite is best suited to self-contained 4WD campers who must bring their own toilet/shower facilities, drinking water and supplies. Pets on leashes are welcome. Campfires are permitted in the dedicated firepit. Take a stroll down to the beach and have a swim in the turquoise coloured water at Little Taylor Bay, or explore the bush and look for spotted par-ado, swift parrot, sea and nesting pair of wedge tail eagles, hawks, plovers, honey eaters, wrens, herons, brone wing pigeons just to name some of the birds. We also have a few of the famous white kangaroos, plus lots of smaller wallabies. There are good trails for hikes and mountain biking at the Mount Midway Forest Reserve and Mount Bruny Forest Reserve. Don't miss out on the Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour - built in 1836, it's the only heritage listed lighthouse open for tours. Please stay within the property boundaries as shown, there is no access to Daniels Bay.

Locally, take a short walk into historic Franklin where you can enjoy a picnic on the foreshore, kids' playground, and even pull out the fishing rod to see what you might catch. Looking for a peaceful and secluded spot to park up whilst exploring Bruny Island? Set on South Bruny Island, amongst the bush is a hidden away campground. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings with visits from local wildlife. Only a short drive away from local beaches at Lunawanna and Cloudy Bay and only 5 minutes away from Bruny Island Premium Wines. There are many beautiful walks nearby, and plenty of local attractions. The perfect spot from which to explore all that Bruny Island has to offer. The property itself is set on 100 acres, a working hobby farm with friendly hand raised pets. We even have a bush golf course, kept well maintained by the local wildlife. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have a strict leave no trace policy. Campfires are permitted in a fire box off the ground. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property, livestock and plenty of wildlife.

We offer space and peace to pull-up your rv caravan or tent in a peaceful bush setting that is a perfect base for exploring Tasmania. -35 minutes to Sorell (shopping, dump point) -30 minutes to historic town Richmond -30 minutes to Orford (gateway to the east coast, beaches, surf) -30 minutes to Oatlands (historic town, distillery) -50 minutes to Hobart Please note there is no phone reception or very limited (you may get 1 bar at the gate and randomly around the property). Self sufficient campers only, we currently don’t offer toilets or water facilities. Camping is in the fenced area, however you are free to access our property via foot or push bike. There is a track that loops around the bush of the property. If you follow the track it eventually loops back to the grassy area of the property (roughly 20-30 minute walk).

We had a great time staying at Charlie and Paul’s property which was in a great location to explore the island. They meant us at the campsite and made us feel right at home. Heaps of room and you have the whole place to yourself. Would recommend

1 night at Honeywood Valley Farms

Us city girls had the most memorable stay at Honeywood Valley. It’s a proper working equestrian park, like a horse hotel crossed with a lifestyle farm, and it was exactly the kind of country escape we were hoping for. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by horse paddocks and could watch the horses all day long. Two gorgeous camp spots to choose from — one perched up on a hill with sweeping views over the property and rolling hills, and the other tucked down by a peaceful little pond. We picked the hilltop site and were treated to stunning views and even the distant twinkle of Hobart’s city lights at night. The site is beautifully peaceful in the day. It gets windy at night but that didn’t bother us. Kate is a fantastic host. She met us on arrival, showed us to the site, made sure we were settled, and then left us to enjoy the serenity. We asked if she’d be open to giving us a quick tour around the property — she agreed without hesitation, and it ended up being the highlight of our stay. In the morning we joined Kate on her rounds as she delivered feed to the horses. We got to meet the whole crew — every horse was gentle, charming, and full of personality. Kate even let us hop into her ute and took us around for a proper behind-the-scenes look. I learnt so much about horses and what goes into caring for them. You can really tell how much love and hard work she pours into the place. Honeywood Valley absolutely delighted us and we couldn’t recommend it more!

What an amazing place to stay!! Plenty of room and places to explore. Big fire pot included and even a pile of wood!! Big area to camp and you get it all to yourself. Will definitely be back to explore more of the island 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️

Roger’s place has been fantastic. The block is sheer wilderness—rugged nature at its best, surrounded by chirping birds, wallabies hopping through the landscape, and an open fire crackling beneath a sky full of stars. Pure serenity.

Weekend Trip to 100 Acre Wood

Neat and tidy with short grass plus an acre of land to ourselves. Great views of the forest and very quiet as it is well off the road. Plenty of wildlife and birds plus 3 horses and a foal visited us over the fence. The land sloped in different directions but we were still able to park our motorhome level.

Quiet, private bush camp to base from whilst exploring the island! The site was clear, flat and a beautiful fireplace with wood was available. At night we watched the wallabies and tasmanian chickens come out. Beautiful spot!

Awesome camp spot. Peaceful, private and quiet which is rare to find on Bruny. Roger was incredibly generous with firewood and the site was level, well maintained and absolutely beautiful. The native Birdlife is stunning and will definitely be back.
