Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities on the property. It's within 20 minutes of Hobart, within 2 km of Bonnorong wild life park and 1 km from motor racing circuit. Close to the picturesque town of Richmond a colonial town established in early 1800s. Dog friendly but must be controlled as we have many native animals such as galahs, native hens, ducks, rosella's, echidnas. We grow our own vegetables, have a vast array of fruit trees and variety of berries and free range eggs. Guest's must have their own toilet and shower facilities on board.

Great location beautiful views and it was lovely to fall asleep listening to the ocean. The only downside was the ground was extremely boggy and wet but Isaac did let us know this prior to our arrival. Obviously this is something out of his control. There has been a lot of rain in recent times.

Had such a great stay at Eventide Sanctuary with my dog! Peaceful bush vibes, super friendly animals wandering around, and a magical sunrise in the morning. Loved sitting by the campfire under the stars. You can really tell Ian cares about the land and the animals — such a special spot to relax and unwind, even just for a night.

Issac’s place is a good base to explore Bruny and the Adventure Bay Area . The paddock has a gentle slope with a few flat spots ( some leveling needed ) with great views of Hansons Beach , you can walk to the beach in 2 minutes and walk to Adventure Bay village in about 20 minutes. Issac is friendly and easy going and happily provided us with extra dry firewood and a fire pit on this damp weekend. One bar of 4g Telstra service here but full service if you got down to the beach or drive/ walk into Adventure Bay .

Ian has set up his sanctuary so well for those passing by and for anyone who wants to stay. He shows such empathy and compassion for all of his animals and birds (both domesticated and wild). The views around the farm are amazing and being able to interact with the animals and birds alike was fantastic. Having the open setup that he has is wonderful. I 1000% recommend coming here and having an absolute blast. Wish I could have started longer!! Thanks so much Ian and Wally for making me feel so welcome 😊

Weekend Trip to Eventide Sanctuary

We only stayed one night at Eventide Sanctuary, but it was such a memorable and heartwarming experience that we truly wished we had more time. From the moment we arrived, Ian made us feel completely at home. He’s a genuinely kind and generous host, and it’s clear that everything he does is out of love for the animals and the sanctuary he’s built. The property is full of charm and surrounded by nature, with a beautiful variety of animals to meet — goats, alpacas, chickens, ducks, geese, and the gorgeous Highland cattle, and Wally. Each one has its own personality, and it was such a joy just to be around them. You can really feel the care Ian puts into looking after them — it’s more than just a farm; it’s a sanctuary in every sense of the word. The place was cosy and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed for our getaway trip in the campervan. It was the perfect way to end our journey — this was our last day in our Tasmanian road trip, and we couldn’t be happier to have saved the best for last. Thank you, Ian, for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful. We hope to return one day for a longer visit!

Unfortunately I was unable to make my trip due to illness but the rest of our group still went and said it was the best campsite in the most perfect spot! We hope to make a trip very soon!
