The Little Garden Farm is a small farm with a private and exclusive Campsite - The Woodlander. The Little Garden Farm is a 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we began improving in 2023. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter.
The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please).
The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips!
Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

Looking for a peaceful and secluded spot to park up whilst exploring Bruny Island?
Set on South Bruny Island, amongst the bush is a hidden away campground. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings with visits from local wildlife. Only a short drive away from local beaches at Lunawanna and Cloudy Bay and only 5 minutes away from Bruny Island Premium Wines. There are many beautiful walks nearby, and plenty of local attractions. The perfect spot from which to explore all that Bruny Island has to offer.
The property itself is set on 100 acres, a working hobby farm with friendly hand raised pets. We even have a bush golf course, kept well maintained by the local wildlife.
All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have a strict leave no trace policy. Campfires are permitted in a fire box off the ground.
The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property, livestock and plenty of wildlife.

What a beautiful peaceful spot to camp for our 2 nights on Bruny. Set up with just enough comforts to make the stay easier (ie composting toilet, undercover seating area & fire). We loved waking to all the different bird sounds. Would love to come back sometime.

We stayed in the bus and it was brilliant! Very warm and toasty at night with the fire going, has wonderful amenities and it's beautifully decorated. Michelle is also so lovely and greeted us with a bubbly smile and warm demeanour

Kate was an amazing host. Warm and generous. We chose a site with spectacular views and we were awestruck by the mountains. The kids enjoyed seeing the horses and we enjoyed relaxing. Only half hour from the centre, this is our new home when we next travel to Hobart. Just wonderful!

Eeyore’s Campsite was the perfect tranquil spot to celebrate our Christmas 2025. It was wild weather but the terrain and adjacent forest protected us very well from the strong winds.
We loved seeing the many furry critters busily mowing the grass and our friendly welcoming hosts couldn’t have been more helpful.
We would highly recommend this HipCamp to anyone wanting to enjoy a peaceful spot nestled in a lovely natural setting.

Staying with Peta and Rory was just amazing, incredibly friendly people with amazing farm land and lovely animals, ducks, goats, sheeps, dogs, cats you name it!
Definitely a must go for animal/remote outdoor lovers. The road to it was in very good condition and easily doable with a 2wd

Us city girls had the most memorable stay at Honeywood Valley. It’s a proper working equestrian park, like a horse hotel crossed with a lifestyle farm, and it was exactly the kind of country escape we were hoping for.
From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by horse paddocks and could watch the horses all day long.
Two gorgeous camp spots to choose from — one perched up on a hill with sweeping views over the property and rolling hills, and the other tucked down by a peaceful little pond. We picked the hilltop site and were treated to stunning views and even the distant twinkle of Hobart’s city lights at night. The site is beautifully peaceful in the day. It gets windy at night but that didn’t bother us.
Kate is a fantastic host. She met us on arrival, showed us to the site, made sure we were settled, and then left us to enjoy the serenity. We asked if she’d be open to giving us a quick tour around the property — she agreed without hesitation, and it ended up being the highlight of our stay.
In the morning we joined Kate on her rounds as she delivered feed to the horses. We got to meet the whole crew — every horse was gentle, charming, and full of personality. Kate even let us hop into her ute and took us around for a proper behind-the-scenes look. I learnt so much about horses and what goes into caring for them. You can really tell how much love and hard work she pours into the place.
Honeywood Valley absolutely delighted us and we couldn’t recommend it more!

This space was so wonderfully private and peaceful. The hobbit hut really separates this space from others, and makes camping here even more special, and it’s helpful for keeping things dry overnight if needed. It’s a great location on the island, too. Highly recommend this beautiful spot!

5/5 stars. The woodlander is a great spot and being right in the middle of North and south bruny, the location was extremely convenient to all the attractions. The site itself was secluded and peaceful and the wood heater was very welcome on the winter nights when we stayed. The hobbit hut made cooking a breeze and was a handy add-on.

The camp ground was clean and very well laid out. It rained heaps whilst we were there but the site handled the weather without any issues. The fire was great and the hobbit hut was a nice dry spot with the wet weather. This is a very good winter camp ground. We can't wait to try it in the summer.

Great private site by a waterhole with a little shelter shed (the Hobbit Hut), picnic table, wood stove and composting loo. The site is nice and flat with shady trees (but not too shady 🌞). The location is nice and central to alot of Bruny attractions and the hosts communicate really well.

Fantastic campsite on beautiful Bruny the hobbit hut was a godsend in the end as we had a couple of days of weather and it made it so much nicer to sit and cook undercover, even a couple of couches. Fireplace is a ripper. Location great to explore all the island. Thanks for a great few days.
