Grounds can be wet and soft during wet weather so please be mindful of your vehicle’s weight and ability to go through wet paddocks.
Our property is approximately 4km from beautiful Goolwa township. Attractions include the Historic Steam Ranger Cockle Train which runs from Goolwa to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor each Sunday & Wednesday, and every day during school holidays.
There are also a range of cafes, restaurants, galleries, and a distillery. Spirit of the Coorong cruises leave from Goolwa Wharf, where you can also board the historic Oscar W paddle steamer.
Markets are held every Sunday at Jaralde Park adjacent to the Goolwa Wharf.

The floorboards are all sanded and polished, and a new lick of paint has made the property fresh and inviting. The property was originally a dairy and has the original ruins of the old homesteads and dairy buildings from generations before.
The property is now used for cattle, sheep, and crops, and is about 1000 acres. It is bordered by Currency Creek, which flows with crystal-clear water from a spring all year round, and is a wonderful track to hike around and enjoy beautiful views of the inlets and creeks leading to the lower lakes.
The farmhouse is surrounded by huge pine trees and gums, and there is an easy access turn-around driveway and plenty of parking. The property is only a short distance from Goolwa, Middleton, and Victor Harbor.
In the future, the plans are to have a veggie garden for tenants to pick from and chickens, ducks, and small animals to associate with. There are cattle with calves and sheep in the neighboring paddocks.
We have invited you to bring your dog along, but at this stage, they will have to be tethered at all times so they do not escape and interfere with stock. This is for their safety as well. The pets are not allowed inside the house.

We have hosted weddings, many anniversaries, and lots of special occasions plus guests who live in Adelaide and appreciate being able to hop in the car, drive for an hour and find themselves in our little bit of heaven, a real rural retreat but only ten minutes to two small towns with supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and most everything else you might need.
You have the entire Villa, which is very private, a verandah out front to enjoy the view out to sea and Kangaroo Island, and a fully enclosed courtyard in the rear to chill and enjoy the sunshine. The Villa is also wheelchair friendly, all entrances are wide, including French doors to the lounge and both bedrooms, a very large double shower with sliding doors, a raised toilet for people with issues, two toilets, and a separate vanity area. It is ideal for two couples as there are two bathroom areas, one with a vanity and toilet and the other with shower, vanity, and toilet.
We are pet-friendly and have a lovely shady paddock for your pony and an enclosed yard for your dog. We do allow pets inside but ask that you let us know if you intend to bring your pets with you. There is a cleaning fee if there is dog hair over furniture and soft furnishings, please bring their bedding and don't let them on beds and sofas.

We are currently offering space for two self-contained campers. Please note that ALL CAMPERS MUST BE SELF-CONTAINED and LEAVE NO TRACE. There is public dump facility 5km away in South Goolwa.
Grounds can be wet and soft during wet weather so please be mindful of your vehicle’s weight and ability to go through wet paddocks.
Our property is approximately 4km from beautiful Goolwa township. Attractions include the Historic Steam Ranger Cockle Train which runs from Goolwa to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor each Sunday & Wednesday, and every day during school holidays.
There are also a range of cafes, restaurants, galleries, and a distillery. Spirit of the Coorong cruises leave from Goolwa Wharf, where you can also board the historic Oscar W paddle steamer.
Markets are held every Sunday at Jaralde Park adjacent to the Goolwa Wharf.

The space

The big, solid walls are laid with concrete by the farmer and his young son, from the materials on the property. It has recently been rewired and fully re-plumbed, all to make it safe and usable. The floorboards are all sanded and polished, and a new lick of paint has made the property fresh and inviting. The property was originally a dairy and has the original ruins of the old homesteads and dairy buildings from generations before.
The property is now used for cattle, sheep, and crops, and is about 1000 acres. It is bordered by Currency Creek, which flows with crystal-clear water from a spring all year round, and is a wonderful track to hike around and enjoy beautiful views of the inlets and creeks leading to the lower lakes.
The farmhouse is surrounded by huge pine trees and gums, and there is an easy access turn-around driveway and plenty of parking. The property is only a short distance from Goolwa, Middleton, and Victor Harbor.
In the future, the plans are to have a veggie garden for tenants to pick from and chickens, ducks, and small animals to associate with. There are cattle with calves and sheep in the neighboring paddocks.
We have invited you to bring your dog along, but at this stage, they will have to be tethered at all times so they do not escape and interfere with stock. This is for their safety as well. The pets are not allowed inside the house.

You have the entire Villa, which is very private, a verandah out front to enjoy the view out to sea and Kangaroo Island, and a fully enclosed courtyard in the rear to chill and enjoy the sunshine. The Villa is also wheelchair friendly, all entrances are wide, including French doors to the lounge and both bedrooms, a very large double shower with sliding doors, a raised toilet for people with issues, two toilets, and a separate vanity area. It is ideal for two couples as there are two bathroom areas, one with a vanity and toilet and the other with shower, vanity, and toilet.
We are pet-friendly and have a lovely shady paddock for your pony and an enclosed yard for your dog. We do allow pets inside but ask that you let us know if you intend to bring your pets with you. There is a cleaning fee if there is dog hair over furniture and soft furnishings, please bring their bedding and don't let them on beds and sofas.

Beautiful spot, and lovely friendly hosts who offer local knowledge and make guest feel comfortable. It is a small property with very close proximity and access to the waterways which is very convenient if you are going for a row. Keep an eye on the weather. Amazing bird life to see. Very near town and all sorts of possibilities there if the water is a bit rough. Try Gillian's bread if she's making it, it's lovely. I had a great stay.

We loved our stay. Felt very much like we were out in the bush surrounded by views and animals the kids loved it. Heath made an effort to take the kids to collect eggs and feed the horses. It was magical.
The only down side is as they are renovating there were lots of construction materials lying around.
But what a lovely spot and close to very good local attractions.

This is a small campsite, near the owners home. Works are under way to build a solid screen.
The sunrise over the creek, with water birds and birdsong made a beautiful morning. Kangaroos abound. Shady trees, friendly hosts and lovely sourdough bread. Close to Goolwa was ideal for our visit.
We will return, with our kayaks, for a paddle in the creek.

Our stay at Gum Valley Eco Glampers was nothing short of amazing. It's a beautiful location, set up with everything you need and more. The only thing we needed to bring was food. This site has been set up very thoughtfully, with attention to detail everywhere you look, from shag pile carpets to an ice maker. Its a very relaxing location and we can't wait to return. Perfect location to base yourself to explore the beaches and beautiful wineries/ breweries. Views from the property are stunning. We had pretty bad weather and still managed to enjoy walks around the property to see the wild life, hit up the local distillery and a drive down Myponga beach road which the owners suggested ( this has to be one of the most beautiful drives in all of SA and should not be missed!!) that surrounds this property. Stunning at sunset.
Still a work in progress for the guys here but the effort that Heath and family are putting in, Im sure this place will be fantastic!!
