The Scrub Campsite located in remnant vegetation (14 minutes from Victor Harbor ) is a rustic self check in campsite as the owners do not reside near the campsite.
Campers choose their site in the designated camp spots. Sites are not allocated unless by prior arrangement.
Persons under 18, youth groups, school groups or scout groups etc. are not permitted to book at the campsite.
A communal camp kitchen, water tanks and compost toilet is available for campers use. Fire pits are located at each site. Campers will be advised of fire bans.
Wood can be purchased from the self service white ibc container for $15 for 20kgs.
Please adhere to the camp rules which are posted at each campsite.
The campsite is located on the Heysen Trail and close to many Lower Fleurieu Peninsula beaches and attractions. The popular Belicious Cafe is a 45 minute walk.
Whole campsite bookings can be made by contacting the owners.

This is a campsite for those who want the best of both worlds, the serenity of the Australian Bush, but close to all the modern conveniences and holiday activities.
Surrounded by the Hindmarsh Valley National Park and a working sheep farm, you’ll be sharing this campsite with the local kangaroos, and if you’re lucky, an echidna or two. There’s a creek running through, and vibrant bird life.
Nearby is a beautiful bush-walk through the Mount Billy Conservation Park.
Situated half way between Myponga and Victor Harbor, only 15 minutes to either, there are many activities available. Kayaking on the Myponga reservoir, or surfing, swimming and sun bathing at either Horseshoe Bay or Waitpinga.
Urimbirra wildlife park is less than 10 minutes away, and around the corner is the Softfoot Alpaca Farm, with the on-site Swagman Restaurant. Also in Hindmarsh Valley is the lovely restaurant Lost Phoenix Farm.
Over your stay, you will likely encounter our two dogs, Lola and Sherlock, who very much enjoy meeting our guests. Lola is particularly fond of children and loves to play fetch with them, whilst Sherlock will try charm you out of your sausages. Despite what he says, he is well fed at home. They are both good at giving high fives. If you would prefer not to see the dogs, please just let us know and we will keep them under strict supervision.
An RV dump point is located on Adelaide Road, Victor Harbor, within the tourist information bay, 200m south of Waterport Road, approximately 10 minutes from the site.

Kim and Michael were so welcoming and generous with their time.
Kim met us on arrival for directions and for a chat, Michael took us for a private wine tasting and their wonderful dog Ollie even came over to hang out. The space was well kept and the views stunning, and only 10mins drive to the stunning Sellicks Beach or into the heart of McLaren Vale.
Would happily recommend to anyone travelling through.

We had a great site looking out over the Gorge and to the Ocean. Great to watch the sunset over the gorge. Close to McLaren vale, Moana and port Noarlunga. Was very quiet when we were there with only one other camper - cheers Darren.

Perfect base to explore the McLaren Vale region. The vineyard view and bird songs each morning was lovely to wake up to. Site was quiet with plenty of space. Excellent flat open area to park your van or camper trailer with views over Kim and Michael's vineyard.
We did a wine tasting with Michael that was extremely educational about the wine making process and the wines were so good we couldn't resist buying half a dozen for our onward travels. I might say only 4 made it off the property. Highly recommend a stay here, absolutely wonderful. Cheers Peter and Karen

We loved our stay at Six Strings. A lovely property surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. Highly recommend the wine tasting. Michael was fantastic at guiding us through each variety and the wine was delicious!

Perfect location to base yourself to explore the beaches and beautiful wineries/ breweries. Views from the property are stunning. We had pretty bad weather and still managed to enjoy walks around the property to see the wild life, hit up the local distillery and a drive down Myponga beach road which the owners suggested ( this has to be one of the most beautiful drives in all of SA and should not be missed!!) that surrounds this property. Stunning at sunset.
Still a work in progress for the guys here but the effort that Heath and family are putting in, Im sure this place will be fantastic!!

We both had the best weekend. The wine tasting experience was fantastic. Not often you enjoy every wine in a tasting. The hosts were amazing, down to earth and extremely helpful. Their property is 10 minutes from our house, but felt like a world away. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends. Thanks again Steve and Allison.

What a great spot. We spent 4 nights at Vineyard Views and loved it. Thoroughly enjoyed Michael's wine tasting (highly recommend)! The location is peaceful and rural surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, yet close to amenities. Plenty of space for larger vans. Both Michael and Kim were very welcoming and accommodating hosts. A+++

What a great spot! The kids had so much fun seeing the chickens, donkeys, horses and koalas. Allan and Heath were super friendly and amazing hosts. Still some work getting done around the place, but we were able to play some lawn bowels, the place will be fab once finished ☺️ Would definitely recommend

This is my third stay in four months, I (and my doggos) love it that much! Everything about Cooinda is perfect. It is very obvious how much the owners love and care for this beautiful property. So peaceful and relaxing and even though this trip was only two nights this time I felt I had a week off.

We had an amazing stay at Six Strings.
We did the wine tasting with Michael and it was probable the best we’ve done and we’ve visited many wineries. It was personal, informative and friendly.
If you’re passing through Mclaren Vale make this a stop for the night and enjoy some delicious wines.

Great location in McLaren Vale with everything you are looking to see and do 15min or less away.
It's a gorgeous property camping by the vineyard and Michael and Kim are excellent hosts!
Loved spending time talking wine and learning about the wine making process with Michael while getting to enjoy a tasting of the wines he makes at Six Strings!
