Whitefield Farm was originally settled by the Landers family in the 1890. It is located in the Barossa Ranges 450 m above sea level and is surrounded by vineyards and grazing properties. There is easy access to boutique wineries and the Kidman Trail runs right by the farm, allowing for hiking, riding, and driving, on miles of country tracks. There are stunning views wherever you look, with huge 400-year-old red gums, rolling pastures and ancient gnarled vines. Whitefield is a working farm that focuses on herd rotation and low input agriculture to build the fertile soils and maintain the environment without chemical inputs.
The farm is situated in the heart of the high-altitude Eden Valley Winegrowing region, so we really do have the best of everything, with the stunning views & peaceful surroundings of the farm, to wineries, restaurants, cafes, and the quaint country towns of the Barossa Valley only ten minutes’ drive from our front gate.
Visit the neighbouring boutique wineries including, Poonawatta, Brockenchack, Shobbrook Wines, Heathvale Wines, Rileys of Eden Valley and Max and Me Winery or bush walk in the nearby Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park.
After a day of touring the region or walking the Kidman Trail, make sure you're back in time to set up your campfire and watch the sun go down with a glass of cool Eden Valley Riesling.

Humble Farm lies within an International Dark Sky Reserve, treating guests to some of the clearest views of the night sky and its constellations. Young children can enjoy the playground — complete with a sandpit and water pump, cubby house, swings, and monkey bars — just a short walk up the hill from the campsite.
The main residence is over the hill on the opposite side of the property, ensuring privacy. Only one site is offered per night to maintain peace and serenity (if you’re traveling with others, enquire about multiple sites at a discounted rate). There is no toilet or shower block — public toilets are a 10-minute drive away if you don’t have your own setup. No potable water is available. As this is a working farm, dogs are welcome but must remain on a long lead. No motorbikes, please.

Avondale is a working family farm located perfectly between both the beautiful Clare Valley and picturesque Barossa. Located approximately 11 kms from Riverton and an hour north of Adelaide.
Our campground consists of 6 designated van sites with a central fire pit. Individual fire buckets and wood can be provided at an extra charge ($25). Our camping sites are located in a picturesque tree lined gully. A precious slice of untouched beauty. Please don’t help yourself to our trees (no chainsaws).
As we are a working farm, with sheep and alpacas surrounding the campsite, dogs must remain on lead at all times. It is also dog owners responsibility to cleanup after their pets. Please also remain on designated tracks to walk along. Views of sunsets from the top of the hill are breathtaking. Please also always leave gates as you find them.
The local council district provides cafes, amazing pub food (our personal favourite, The Tarlee Hotel), bakeries and push bike tracks. Not to mention wineries.
Generators are welcome, but please be respectful of fellow campers. No motorbikes to be ridden on property, but push bikes welcome. There is currently no toilet or potable water available.

Awesome site with a very convenient location for anyone wanting to explore the Clare or Barossa Valley. Super friendly hosts. Site felt very private (we were the only ones there). Lovely views from the hill and great stars. Would absolutely book again.

Absolutely fantastic, well away from any noise except nature. A big open firepit is available if you choose to use it during off peak fire season. The drive through the property to the camp site was clearly marked and the grass had been cut down to allow for low vehicle access. Plenty of good walks around. The night sky is absolutely phenomenal with stargazing a must try!
The nearest town has a pub, bakery and public toilet if you need a quick stop off!

We loved our stay at Toby’s Hipcamp as we’ve visited that area many times staying at Burra Creek Gorge at Worlds End etc. But to have such spacious rolling hills interesting farmland to ourselves we felt privileged and didn’t leave Ruff Run for the whole time. The simple things like walking up the escarpment to magnificent views sitting by a great fire pit with dry wood supplied and enjoying the cacophony of birds at times. It was pure magic and great for the soul to get away from hectic living. Thanks Toby. You couldn’t be more helpful. Cheers

We absolutely loved camping here on the big paddock. The place was very big and quiet, perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. We’ve also had some cows come up to greet us in the morning as well. It was an awesome experience overall for us and we would love to come back again in the future!
