Situated on 100 acres 5km north of Robe town, and a very very short drive (or 2km walk) to beautiful Long Beach, the Robe Camel Farm is in the perfect location. Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar. You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. Book these experiences on the website www.humpalicious.com.au. Robe Camel Farm is a very relaxed environment. We will be carrying on daily jobs such as camel feeding, building, training etc. Guests are welcome to participate in daily farm life if they choose to! Note, we do keep beehives on the property, so if you are badly allergic to bees, please come prepared. Dog friendly but must be well controlled. Campfires not permitted.

The road to the house branches off the main road down a laneway giving a sence of seclusion and escape as the lanewsy runs down a natural reserve witch hosts kookaburras, black cockatoos, kangaroos, wallaby's, ring tail possums and wide variety of bird life nestling amongst the towering cypress and gum trees. It is almost a private drive as Bella Mia is one of only 2 properties on this lane. Cool quiet pine forests are the back drop of this property. Owner of the property Nick is a pilot living in Europe, the property is managed by Kath a very experience holiday accommodation manager who knows what it takes to satisfy a range of guests needs and privacy. Kath lives on property so never far away if need her for anything. The main house on property is listed as a popular holiday accommodation house sleeping 6 guests. The house has access to a shared indoor pool (not heated) and a rustic tennis court. Camp sites for fully self sufficient campers is available in the paddoch area away from the main house. There is access to water tank refilling however no hook ups. 15 mins from Mount Gambier and the home of the famous Blue Lake and many sink holes in the area. 1 hour from the ever popular Coonawarra Wine Region and beaches are 30 - 45 min away. I had a wonderful experience at this Hipcamp spot, nestled near a beautiful pine forest close to Mount Gambier. The location was incredibly accessible, and the property itself was fantastic. The host was welcoming, and everything was well-maintained, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway.

Due to wind we swapped our stay at Paddock 2 to Shady 2. The spot was private and sheltered from the wind. We also decided to take a tour of the farm, meet the camels and sample some camel milk and ice cream. It was lovely to meet Tara who was very friendly and gave a very interesting tour. We felt very welcomed on the property and were able to take an evening walk and have another look at the camels. Perfect for an off-road self-contained trip.

Our kids absolutely LOVED this place and has been a highlight of the past 3 weeks travel. Stayed 2 nights but kids could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility with no other travellers there so had the place to ourselves. Would recommend paddock 3 as it’s a little further away from the duck pen. We thought the camels would probs stink us out early but they didn’t smell at all. Great place and lovely owners who truly love what they do. 100% recommend.

My girls loved the farm stay! We stayed on Paddock 1 which is next to the duck enclosure. You need to enter through the camel farm gate, NOT at shady 1 and shady 2 signs. The gate was shut and had a sign to say the farm was closed, but we were told to just open and close it behind us. Lots of space to roam around and see the camels, ducks, guineafowl, pigeons and Guinea pigs. We booked a morning milking tour which was great as our girls got to feed the camels, watch them being milked and taste camel milk. TJ was super friendly and happy to answer all of our questions about camels! Camel jerky was delicious too! The resident dogs, max and missy, were very cute and friendly and our dog got on well with them. Was a super wet and windy day/night when we checked in and the camp spots aren’t sheltered from the wind so just something to be mindful of. Would still recommend this property and would stay here again! Thank you TJ and Warrick for a great stay!

Ripper little place to explore robe from or just stay in and relax. Camel farm is great for the kids and the hosts are super accommodating. Shady 1 or 2 are the pick of the spots if you can fit. Shady 2 is a semi drive through spot, can fit a small camper trailer/hybrid if you’re good at manoeuvring/reversing.

My family of 5 loved our stay at the Camel Farm. Beautiful camp site, friendly hosts and of course the camels. We all loved having the chance to go for a walk and visit the camels, even got a chance to hand feed the babies. Water and dump point just a short drive into the great little town of Robe. Highly recommend.

What a great 4 nights we had at TJ & Warwicks place in Robe. It was less than a 10 minute drive into town, but you felt miles away. We were in an off-grid caravan (16m total length when towing) and had not issues gaining access to the property. The camels are amazing, and we really enjoyed paying for the extra tour of "camel milking" - really worth it. The whole farm feels so peaceful & the animals are treated so well. Kids (aged 8, 11 & 13 years) had a ball with the animals (goats, mini-horse, guinea fowl, guinea pigs, chickens, and of course, the camels [and Max & Missy, their dogs]!) my kids spent so much time with TJ, picking her brain on everything to do with camels. Kids loved feeding out vegetable scraps to the horse and goats. We had plenty of space to set-up as we were basically the only campers here for the 4 nights. If there were others along this fence line (3 spots are available), it would have felt more squished though.

TJ and Warwick have taken a bare 100 acre paddock, their spirit and creativity and over the space of 10 years built this place bit by bit. They are the heart and soul, they are relaxed, genuine, passionate and amazing with people. It’s more than just Camels, despite them being a fascinating animal with an Australian history, this place is full of diversity, there’s hidden animals all over, amazing onsite made camel gelato, humpagoto’s (coffee over gelato), off grid power systems, future ideas and plans. What makes this place is TJ and Warwick, their passion oozes through, their authentic, full of intriguing stories. TJ especially, engaged with our children in a captivating manner that instantly had them captivated by her, the type of connection that a kinder or prep teacher evokes. The shady spots are just amazing if you have a smaller setup and can fit in there. The 3 paddock sites are caravan park style side-by-side between Harley the pony and 3 Pygmy goats. They are generously sized 7-8m wide and long as you like. The people it attracted to stay and a number of those who come for the camel milking and baby feeding tour were all excited, exploring, they clearly had a great experience. It is a memorable place that our family will recall in years to come. I think that during future travels, if we end up within a 500km radius, we will be compelled to return. Wishing you the best in business and that Cameliscious continues to evolve and flourish in years to come

Great location, close to robe and 2mins to long beach, highlight trying the camel products and seeing the camels each day. Sites were a little closer together then we were expecting in the paddock but we had great camping neighbours and it wasn't an issue in the end.

Peaceful bushland spot close to the beach and town. Was so fun watching the camels and patting the adorable farm dog! Those who like to sleep in a bit may struggle with the noisy sounds of the Guinea Fowl in the morning but for us it added to the experience!
