Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. Granite Cascades is a nature retreat in a beautiful area on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in the headwaters of the Mary River. Here you can enjoy nature at its best. Granite Cascades offer beautiful creekside private camping on a total of 160 acres which is a Nature Refuge and protected area. We are at the end of dirt road so you feel you are in the middle of a wilderness. This is a quiet retreat where you can soak in nature, restore your soul and relax. There is a mixture of eucalypt forests and rainforests in the headwaters of the Mary river. The creek is inviting to explore with swimming pools to cool down. The forest here is diverse, from subtropical rainforest to open eucalypt forest. There are walking tracks which let you explore more of what the property has to offer. If you fancy a Sunday coffee or relaxing breakfast we are only 5kms from Crystal Waters Ecovillage (They host movies, markets, music nights, yoga, artisan bakery and a cafe). I am an artist and manage my property for its ecological value. I love to share my love of this special place with others. Guided nature walks can be also arranged.

This was our second time staying at Rustic Resort, but beside the dam this time. Beautiful location right beside the dam, lovely flat patch to set up camp on. Toilet amenities were clean. We loved watching the cows graze on the hill, and the wildlife/birdlife. My dog particularly loved swimming in the dam to cool down - as did we! And as always, it was lovely to have the hostess, Doris, popped in for a chat. Given this little peace of paradise is just 4t mins from home, it makes for a great getaway and we will most definitely be back! Thanks for having us again, Peter & Doris!

Absolutely gorgeous spot for a getaway and chance to unplug from the world and relax. Would highly recommend bringing a bunch of board games, a nice puzzle and face masks for the ultimate relaxing experience. Just note that the suite is attached to the main house and you will need to walk past their front door to get to and from. But Rose and Russel are lovely and the suite still felt private.

Such a great spot to camp so close to Brisbane. The toilet is close to camp site and super clean. The beautiful big dam was my favourite part, great to float around and cool off. The owners, Peter and Doris are lovely and were so helpful when we had a bit of a problem on the last day. Loved it so much have already booked a return trip!

Our camp-site was private and quiet and serene. A perfect spot to unwind and relax. Visually beautiful and well maintained grounds. Vast and spread out. These are the nicest camping grounds I've ever camped at the "creme de la creme"🧡. Day trips out to Mount Barney and the Wyaralong Dam and the Lost World were amazing.

Took our camper trailer to Dead Tree Alley really enjoyed the camp site. Guy was very friendly upon arrival and throughout our stay. Highlight was getting to feed the huge variety of animals on his property. The grounds are kept very tidy and hot shower and a toilet was great.
