There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night.
The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay.
All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area.

4 nights at Turkey's Nest Rainforest Cottages
Absolutely gorgeous spot for a getaway and chance to unplug from the world and relax.
Would highly recommend bringing a bunch of board games, a nice puzzle and face masks for the ultimate relaxing experience.
Just note that the suite is attached to the main house and you will need to walk past their front door to get to and from. But Rose and Russel are lovely and the suite still felt private.

Such a relaxing and peaceful place. We loved sitting by the firepit at night under the starry sky and waking up to birds in the morning. Rose was quick to respond and made us feel very welcome. Our family had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely retun next

Rustic camping at its finest ! Myself and my 3 boys had a blast at the shack. The place has everything you need to enjoy a good cook up over the fire pit. Billy coffee followed by baked bean jaffles. Very clean and no insects whatsoever. Denis even arranged a tour of the Cotton Ginery that was very interesting and to top it of a ride in the tractor. Rose was a great host and her chickens may now have anxiety after my boys chasing them. Such a great stay and both Rose and Denis are of the kindest of people. We will be back.

We loved our stay at the Shack! It provided a good inbetween from camping and cabining . Our favourite parts were getting cozy around the fire place! Thank you again to the lovely hosts(Rose ands Dennis) who were nice enough to show us around and let us feed the horses !

We visited runella and had one night stay. It was such a awesome place to escape from city chaos. Rose was very helful and she gave information about all the things. The shack had all the needed amneties. Bathrooms were very clean. Its inside shack.Bedrooms and kitchen were very neat and tidy. You can have hot shower using donkey. Firepit is close to shack and very convinient to use. Sunshine and sunset are breathtaking. Everything was well maintained. We will surely come back again. we recommend to visit runella once.

We stayed at the hut on Kent with our little dog, and it’s a nice quiet cozy cabin with an inside fireplace which was great on a nice cold winters night, plus it has a large firepit out the front for over the fire cooking, Rose and Denis were very friendly hosts and we highly recommend I stay at their property.

Weekend Trip to Turkey's Nest Rainforest Cottages
Loved the cozy get away at the Macadamia Lodge.
Being able to disconnect from the world and enjoy each other's company was just what we needed to hit pause on our busy lives. No social media, no news, no rushing around. Just relaxing.
The boardgames provided were more than enough to keep us entertained and the fireplace was warm enough for the whole room well into the night.
Was a very successful surprise birthday get away for us and we definitely highly recommend visiting!
If you're one to enjoy a movie or two, Rosemary and Russell are more than happy to provide a tv and DVD player.

If you want tranquillity in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by wildlife, then this is the place for you. The cabin is a combination of rustic charm and modern comforts. Awesome firepit area which is great for the cooler nights. The host Cara has thought of every little thing you will need. Decor is great - full of lots of little treasures and repurposed items. Plenty of music, books, and games to keep you entertained (there's also tv, wifi, etc if that's your thing). Hubby is 6'4" and had no problem with the loft bed.

Staying at Melanie’s property was incredibly peaceful and private, there are incredible wildlife around and many birds creating a beautiful ambiance.
Mel is very knowledgeable in regards to horses and even bought down a beautiful horse to meet! Everything you need has been thought through and i highly recommend a stay at Melanie’s to recharge and explore the beauty of the area.
