In May 2024, we completed the first of our glamping pavilions. These pavilions have allowed us to provide our first step of offering a variety of accommodation options for our discerning guests. This project received tourism grant funding from the Australian Government, which has allowed us to expand on our original concept and has made the glamping pavilions really quite special.
Our amenity buildings have undertaken a fresh makeover which now provides state of the art washing machines and dryers with tap and go payment options - no need for coins. A vending machine for that late afternoon or evening snack, immaculately clean bathrooms and a camp kitchen with shared facilities for those campers who like to do their own thing.
Our Food & Beverage van is now open and offers a variety of food choices. Open daily from 12pm to 8.00pm (season dependent) we invite our guests and locals to come and enjoy our beautiful park setting.
With a multitude of accommodation options for the most discerning guest, Daintree Beach Resort is becoming the destination, not just a place to stay.

KUR-Cow Farm was once known as Barnwell Farm.
Coffee was extensively grown throughout the Kuranda/Myola region in the early 1890's until frosts wiped out large numbers crops in the early 1900's. Robert William Warren purchased portions of the land at Barnwell in the 1890s and established a coffee plantation on the property which was named "Downtown Farm." Dairy cattle were bought to Barnwell by William Henry Barnwell in 1936 and by 1939 he had managed to successfully establish for a dairy farmer and was advertising for a dairy hand with remuneration of 25 shillings per week and keep. Dairy cattle remained on the property until some point following World War II. It has been said that William Henry Barnwell was one of the earliest cattle farmers in the Myola and Kuranda areas to carry Droughtmaster cattle. He was well regarded as a 'cattle man' in the Myola area. Opening to public in August 2018, Barnwell Farm now welcome visitors daily from all over the world. Offering its guests an interactive, Australia cattle experience with a little adventure thrown in also and exquisite cuisine.
Our accommodation consist of 2 cabins sleep 2 adult and 2 children, the room is not interconnect but fence with our private court yard for dinning.
Price include Petting Zoo entry for 2 adult and 2 children.
Guided Horse riding and ATV tour is available daily and minimum age is 4 years old for horse riding and 6 years old for ATV.
Lunch is available on Saturday and Sunday. Sunset Wagyu BBQ offer daily.

Emerald creek a scenic drive 20mins beautiful walking trails and swimming .
Mareeba is also close which host lots of historical features and there is hot air ballooning in the close proximity Granite Gorge Nature Park / Tinaroo Dam fishing water sports /hot springs /crater lakes your opportunities are endless . The international airport in only an hour away and the Great Barrier Reef also awaits .
If you are heading to the tip this is also a great stopover for last min shopping for supplies in Mareeba or a rest stop on your return .
Please note we are a Rural Farm and you are very welcome to wander about we have 2 open dams and creek (swimming hole is a short 2 min walk) should you have little people these areas are not fenced (water Safety) is a must.

Campsites includes, one site with water only and three sites with water and power.
Telstra phone reception is available. It is a fisherman's dream location.
Pets are allowed but has to be on leash at all times.
4WD only as access is difficult for 2WD vehicles.

Beautiful and thoughtfully put together space. The cosy environment and all the little touches make this place a lovely place to spend a couple of evenings of socialising amongst the backdrop of the tablelands. The facilities all worked really well and the outdoor bath was a highlight.

Weekend Trip to 3 Bares Retreat
A very welcoming place where the owners Steve and Jacq are absolutely lovely. We stayed in the on-site caravan which was very clean and comfortable. On the outdoor porch we had our own fridge, sink, bbq and a lovely view of the rainforest. There’s also a fully equiped common kitchen area and very clean toilets and showers. It was our little puppy Poppy’s first trip away and she was barking at most sounds but Jacq was so lovely to reassure us that we were far enough away from others not to disturb them. Poppy also enjoyed a dip in the river which is a 2 min walk from the caravan. We felt very comfortable and safe with the clothing being optional even though we didn’t have ours off. We will definitely be back. Thank you for creating a safe space for all.

The hutt had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the easy access to the dam and the creek. My 6 years old loved searching for frogs at night, going down to the creek with his net, and the swing on a tree. We took our dog with us too, and the morning walk with him around the block was very peaceful. The host Tracey is very responsive and her hospitality was wonderful. Would love to go back there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jabba the Hut. The accommodation was comfortable and there was lots of outside space with beautiful views. We especially enjoyed the camp fire! The host Tracey was friendly and very helpful. The location was great for exploring Davies Creek and only 15 minute drive from Mareeba.

That was a great surprise. Well kept maintained site good facilities and a rigid tent with a bed air on and power. Short walk to the funny and showers and to the beach however well aware of the surroundings.

We enjoyed our stay at Spark Valley. Property was well set up and would be great for bigger groups too. Plenty of room to camp plus the room some of our party used was neat and stylish. Clinton was friendly and had set up campfires for us to light and gave good recommendations for walks around the property. Facilities were great - heaps of kitchen space and showers available too.

Clinton’s property is a fabulous setup for short or longer stops. We stayed on our way to Cape York for one night and it is only a few kms off the road - so very convenient.
The cabin was thoughtfully decorated and a welcome little bit of luxury on the road. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of room for campers to park around it.
The amenities cater well for a big group so was ample for our group of 4. There is a well stocked camp kitchen and great area for meals.
Clinton was very prompt with communication and was there to greet us when we arrived. I would highly recommend this camp and would definitely stay again if I was travelling through. Thanks Clinton!

Weekend Trip to Idriess Creek
Brad had a great comunication with us, he was easy going and accurate
The donga was very clean and well appointed with air con ,TV, wifi , he also landed us a lighter to start the fire.
He has a beatifull garden with chickens and lots of birds in the trees .
The place is quiet and peacefull.

Wow ‘s experience at Kurcow farm stay. Amazing scenes from morning to evening . Great escape journey from city and work life , walk distance to the nature of rainforest and wildlife( horse , cows, ponny, goats….) . Amazing hosts Ken and Helen are very welcome for our visit. Concerns about heat and humidity and mossie nets were unnecessary. Great nights sleep after nighttime 2hr guided nature walk of jungle ("forest" seems inadequate). Did not realize that Sal has her own kitchen and cooks gourmet resto dinners. Likewise breakfast looked great but we had fixins for our own bacon butties.
