Bindarah Downs offers easy access to our 4 acres and 3 levels of open and shaded, creek frontage. Only 15 mins from Rathdowney, close to Maroon Dam and several National Parks.
Each site accommodates one set-up; e.g. one caravan, one motorhome, one camper trailer etc. Please make a separate booking if you have multiple camping set-ups.
The creek offers campers cool waterholes to swim in on a hot day and picnic tables to enjoy your meals.
Hang your hammock, lay back and enjoy the tranquil setting and cool breeze while the kids ride their bikes.
Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
Children 16 and under stay for free but please let us know they are coming.
Campfires are welcome but must be kept contained, you can help yourself to any fallen timber on the ground but please do not cut any trees. Pets are welcome but must be kept restrained at night and must not disturb any of the wildlife or livestock.

With great views, tranquil bushland, abundant wildlife and the stunning Border Ranges National Park close by, there is always something to do.
The park is nestled alongside the everflowing Gradys Creek and features large, easily accessed, grassy powered and unpowered sites overlooking the creek. For those after more of a glamping experience, there are 3 x one bedroom cabins available. On-site amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, fully equipped camp kitchen with a large undercover area (perfect for large groups or private functions), and a laundry.
We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred).
Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.
Check in is strictly between 2 - 5pm. Please contact us to make arrangements if you are unable to arrive between these times.

We loved camping at Bindarah Downs. A beautiful spot that is well maintained with a creek close by. A few of the horses came right up to the fence which was a few meters from our camp site. If you are planning on staying here, be sure to bring a bag of carrots and a box of weet-bix which the host said the horses love to eat. Shayne was a wonderful host, very welcoming and shares a lot of information about the animals and surrounding area. Bindarah Downs is a new favourite camping spot for us and we will definitely be back!

This was such a beautiful spot. Shayne was incredibly welcoming and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay.
We were camped by the running creek and didn't have any issues with mozzies. The kids loved having space to ride their bikes as well as patting the horses. We will definitely recommend to friends and be back.

my friends and I had the best time camping at tyalgum! such a beautiful location with excellent facilities including the kitchen, bathrooms, and power boxes. we loved swimming in the nearby river, checking out the town, and visiting the surrounding national parks! definitely recommend staying here.

Very well maintained property. Clear instructions on arrival and great directions. Shayne and Kim were friendly and welcoming. A refreshing dip in the creek to cool off on a hot Australia Day long weekend. I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing. We were also visited by the 4 farm horses each afternoon for a pat and treats.

We loved staying here. The hosts were fantastic, even taking our daughter out to have a little the farm and see more of the animals in a buggy. It is a very tranquil place, camping sites are not too close together and the creek is beautiful. Easy access, fire wood and fire available. We will definitely be returning.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Shayne and Kim’s property over the long weekend. The location was stunning – we were set up right near the creek, which made for such a peaceful and beautiful experience. The space is so open and relaxing, and even though it was a long weekend, it never felt crowded with only a handful of bookings across the property.
Shayne and Kim truly went above and beyond for us. They were incredibly helpful and understanding when we ran into a few issues, and their kindness made all the difference. They even gave us food to feed the horses, which was such a lovely touch and a highlight for our kids!
We can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s perfect for families and anyone looking for a serene getaway. Thank you so much, Shayne and Kim, for making our weekend so special. We’ll definitely be back!
