Endless activities and exploring to do around the area or just wind down and relax watching the view

The park is nestled alongside the everflowing Gradys Creek and features large, easily accessed, grassy powered and unpowered sites overlooking the creek. For those after more of a glamping experience, there are 3 x one bedroom cabins available. On-site amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, fully equipped camp kitchen with a large undercover area (perfect for large groups or private functions), and a laundry.
We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred).
Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.
Check in is strictly between 2 - 5pm. Please contact us to make arrangements if you are unable to arrive between these times.

We offer 3 separate powered sites, NOTE: . You will need to have 2 X 20mtr power leads to hook to power though. We have room for large caravans, motorhomes . Please note, one vehicle/caravan per site. If you have multiple vehicles/caravans, you will need to book multiple sites.
Weather permitting (no rain) we also have 3 exclusive unpowered sites available in another paddock, closer to the creek. There is no power or water at these sites, and you will need to be self-contained. There is a choice of 4 sites , but only 3 can be booked at any one time.

The creek camping area is directly on the clean and pristine waters of Warrazambil Creek permanently feeding in directly from the border ranges which are just above. It is a quiet and secluded area with views of the ranges surrounding the valley. Plenty of room for you to get away, or bring the whole family.
Kids under 18 are free and pets are welcome as are camp fires (unless we have a fire ban).
Collect your own plentiful firewood from the property or let us know if you need firewood.

Nice quiet spot with a creek to lie in and a beautiful valley to gaze at. We lucked out out and were the only ones there. Duncan was a great host and even though we didn't get to meet his comprehensive instructions were useful and accurate.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Lovely hosts, and facilities are great. We visited as a group of 2 motorhomes and a caravan and stayed on the Platypus powered sites. Well cared for property and we enjoyed cooling off in Grady’s Creek which is flowing.

My partner and I had a fantastic time at Gabrielle’s retreat. We were lucky enough to be at the site closest to the creek, which got great shade in the afternoon, both of these things helped to cool down in the hot summer weather! Bri was very kind and helpful, making our stay a breeze. I could not recommend this hipcamp any higher!

Beautiful location that was easy to find and the facilities were amazing. We had a powered site for a caravan and it had everything easily accessible. We brought dogs and tucked ourselves in a corner and had just an amazing time. Value for money and the view is to die for. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

A great little campground near the creek. I felt a little disoriented by the signage as there didn’t seem to be any signs saying “Tyalgum Showgrounds” but I trusted google and I arrived safely and at the time I expected. The office staffer was super friendly despite being pulled pillar to post. Check-in was simple since I paid via Hipcamp. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot! The dump point saved me some extra kms on the way home, too! The grassy camp site was perfect for having my doggos with me (extra glad the mowing was done a week prior so most of the cuttings had blown away).

Brendan maintains a clean and pristine campsite 1. Group of 5 men enjoying the subtleties and the top tier views, star gazing at night and the ambience of the campfire and moon. The Tyalgum Camp Grounds is lovely.
Beautiful grassed areas and lovely clean amenities. Easy access to Tyalgum Village and pub is a plus.
A close by fruit bat colony is fascinating. However, the noise and aroma might be of putting for some.
I suggest camper check for bat droppings on vehicles each morning as the acidity of the droppings can damage duck.

Great location near everything in Tyalgum. The camp grounds and amenities are well looked after. Showers and toilets very clean! Looks like they’ve recently played some trees to help add some much needed shade around the sites which will definitely improve things in the hotter months once they grow. Overall great spot for our little weekend away before school goes back

Beautiful spot. Extremely well maintained, clean and tidy. Lovely hosts, very welcoming and helpful.
Great facilities, camp kitchen and amenities. Huge undercover living/entertaining area with lounges dining tables and fire pit adjoining open plan kitchen.
Lots of swimming holes along the creek suitable for all ages.
One of the best places I've camped at for a long time.

my friends and I had the best time camping at tyalgum! such a beautiful location with excellent facilities including the kitchen, bathrooms, and power boxes. we loved swimming in the nearby river, checking out the town, and visiting the surrounding national parks! definitely recommend staying here.
