If you’re passing by, you’re welcome to drop in. There’s almost always somewhere you can set up for the night. Our property is located in the heart of Rathdowney, gateway to the picturesque Scenic Rim.
There is a two-week maximum stay available at the Rathdowney Memorial Grounds Caravan Park.
You’ll need to provide us with your name, address, mobile, email and vehicle registration. It helps us to keep everyone safe and our registration process.
We have powered and unpowered sites available for independent travelers.
On-site at the Rathdowney Memorial Grounds it's an easy walk across the street for supplies, or for dinner at the local.
We have toilets and hot showers available! There is access to drinking water and rubbish facilities.
Campfires permitted but not straight onto the ground. (No firewood available on site but there is locally)
Pets welcome. (Maximum 2) To be on a lead/enclosure. Please clean up after them.

Amenities: We encourage self-sufficient bush camping. There are chemical toilets near the campsites. Hot showers and a flushing toilet if required are back at the main car park. showers 7am to 5pm as there is no night driving
We do not charge for children under 5 years of age. Please do not add this age-group to your booking. Children's rate is charged from 5 year to 16 years. You will need to adjust your booking as Hip camp adult rate charge starts from 12 years old.
Generators are permitted to recharge batteries but not permitted to be on constantly. Please advises if required for medical reasons.
We are pet friendly however must be on leads at all times. We are a glass beer bottle free park. We do sell bags of wood and ice

Flinders peak is a good attraction for those who like a challenge to get to the top for awesome views of the local area.
This can take between 1-2 hours to get to the top
Mount Elliot and flinders peak are in national
Park area. Which is a 5 k drive from our farm
Parking area in the national park ,there are walking trails from the carpark area.
Good for bird watchers and those who like to get outdoors and do some hiking or moutain climbing .
How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Beautiful location that was easy to find and the facilities were amazing. We had a powered site for a caravan and it had everything easily accessible. We brought dogs and tucked ourselves in a corner and had just an amazing time. Value for money and the view is to die for. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, very well maintained, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. We stayed with 4 adults, one baby, and our dog, and everything was perfect for our group.
We absolutely loved the views and the overall vibe such a special place to relax and enjoy nature. Due to the hot weather, we asked to change from the mountain spot to the river, and they were more than happy to help and make it happen, which we really appreciated.
We truly had the time of our lives and will definitely be coming back many more times. Highly recommend!

Massive campsites, so you're not on top of one another, yes they are pricey and not for everyone, but worth it if you want the space, peace and quiet, the ground's are immaculate, and what's not to love camping beside a creek.

A great little campground near the creek. I felt a little disoriented by the signage as there didn’t seem to be any signs saying “Tyalgum Showgrounds” but I trusted google and I arrived safely and at the time I expected. The office staffer was super friendly despite being pulled pillar to post. Check-in was simple since I paid via Hipcamp. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot! The dump point saved me some extra kms on the way home, too! The grassy camp site was perfect for having my doggos with me (extra glad the mowing was done a week prior so most of the cuttings had blown away).

This Property was one of the most pristine and well looked after properties! It definitely felt like a high end camping experience. We had the most relaxing weekend and the hosts were so great with help and communication.
Loved that we could buy eggs straight from the chickens 🙌🏼

The Tyalgum Camp Grounds is lovely.
Beautiful grassed areas and lovely clean amenities. Easy access to Tyalgum Village and pub is a plus.
A close by fruit bat colony is fascinating. However, the noise and aroma might be of putting for some.
I suggest camper check for bat droppings on vehicles each morning as the acidity of the droppings can damage duck.

Great location near everything in Tyalgum. The camp grounds and amenities are well looked after. Showers and toilets very clean! Looks like they’ve recently played some trees to help add some much needed shade around the sites which will definitely improve things in the hotter months once they grow. Overall great spot for our little weekend away before school goes back

my friends and I had the best time camping at tyalgum! such a beautiful location with excellent facilities including the kitchen, bathrooms, and power boxes. we loved swimming in the nearby river, checking out the town, and visiting the surrounding national parks! definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay! Great communication, very private. Beautiful facilities, a plunge pool with bar area, a dam to swim in as well. We camped a bit further away from the showers / loo at our own choice as we were a larger group. Brian didn't fail to notify us when a storm was about to hit. All in all a great experience!

We enjoyed a quick getaway and couldn’t have asked for a better little spot. It was lovely and quiet, just a stone’s throw from the local pub, with powered sites and a great undercover BBQ area. The caretaker was lovely and very helpful and booking through Hipcamp made the whole process easy. We’d happily stay again.

The lawn was well maintained and was able to walk around in bare feet. Brian showed us to a very secluded campsite, and even checked in with us during a large storm that hit. Very pleasing experience.
