Buranga Farm

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main dam that offers great swimming. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens around the house, as well as a horse and house cow that guests are welcome to interact with. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of Murray Grey Cattle or set aside for regeneration. Dog friendly. Simle composting/drop toilet available.

Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property. There is nice shady trees, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river. We have some hiking tracks up around the hills of our property that have amazing views of the area. All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

Stonesthrow

Stonesthrow is a rural property in the Illinbah valley, nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, with council approval for limited camping (4WD only - leave no trace). So if you want to escape the crowds at public campgrounds, your privacy and enjoyment are assured! We are NOT a 4WD park so vehicles must be parked up at your site on arrival and left there unless leaving the property to go to town/tourist activities. Any exploration of the property or travel to toilets is strictly on foot only- NO 4WD'ing. Anyone driving around the property will be asked to leave. There is 500 m of (shallow) creek frontage, kms of walking/riding trails and grassy creek flats for recreational activities. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT/mud tyres only and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own chemical camping toilets. If you don't have your own commercial chemical camping toilet then you will be given a choice of sites with access to facilities. We reserve the right to view/verify your toilet before allowing you access to the elevated/remote sites. Well behaved dogs welcome as long as they are on a lead when moving about the property. The common area (old shearing shed) has composting toilets, communal fridge, microwave, jug, drinking water, sink for washing up and table/chairs. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we have guest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues. I have a 2wd and drive in and out multiple times per day. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. If you have a child aged between 2 - 16 years please book the childrens' rate. Please do not follow hipcamp directions as they can take you into state forest. Please use Cove Road or Old Cove road as a pin then work off the address after confirmation from these spots. We have a great supply of locally sourced firewood, $20 per bag 20kg-25kg and we strongly discourage wood brought on from other areas due to biosecurity concerns. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. Dunblane is a wool sheep grazing property located just off the Landsborough (Matilda) Highway 8km west of Barcaldine. We welcome guests and we're happy to share our place with others. Only one booking allowed at each site so you will have the site to yourself, although you are able to book for friends. Pull in, light a fire, watch for falling stars, walk the dog and let the kids explore. Check the sunsets that never fail. Amenities depend on the site booked - check the options listed. Maluka Park

Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other. During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. Kayaks are provided free of charge for all campers to use in Yabba Creek. Please treat them respectfully and return them back to their launching place just below the powerlines. If you wish to bring along your own kayak, you can launch them at the walkway between campsite 8 and 9 where our camp kayaks are stored, however, cars are restricted from driving down to the water edge so you will have to carry them to the water to launch them. Please note that you are responsible for your own kayak. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). Firewood is available and can be delivered to your site by our local contractor. Cost is $20 for a generous load or $10 for a half load. The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Riverdell is 166 acres located on the eastern side of the Blackall Range extending down to the Mooloolah River headwaters. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply). Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites, otherwise your camp MUST be self-contained. The CREB Track is nearby running through the heart of the Daintree Rainforest to Roaring Meg Falls and on to Wujal Wujal. Only 4x4 vehicles without trailers on this adventurous track. Also there is the Bloomfield Track running from Wujal Wujal to Cape Tribulation. A large open marquee area is provided shelter and shade between all sites. Table and chairs are provided. We welcome your pets but they will have to be on leash. Campfires are now allowed onsite in the fire pit.

Sarabah Camping

Sarabah is a 300 acre working cattle property located along the upper reaches of the pristine Canungra Creek and in the foothills of the Lamington National Park. Access is possible in 2WD in fine weather but 4WD will be needed in wet weather. Guests must be fully self-contained including toilet and drinking water - no facilities provided. We ask for minimal impact - removal of all waste and rubbish is the guest's responsibility. Dogs are permitted but must be under control at all times. Open fires permitted only in fire pits provided - subject to local restrictions when applicable. Firewood is available and delivered to your campsite. Please message Steve 48 hours prior to arrival if you would like firewood. We currently have 8 campsites that can be booked: The Campground (site 1), The Secret Spot (site 2), The Picnic Ground (site 3), The Overflow (site 4), The Rock Shelf (site 5), The Nook (site 6), The Paddock (site 7) and The Cranny (site 8). All sites have creek frontage and are private and a reasonable distance away from other sites. Note: vehicles, camper trailers, caravans and toilets are not to be set up within 10m of the creek as per local government by-laws. When booking, select one of these 8 sites and you will have exclusive use of that site for your stay. Please note that the price is per person and all guests must be included when booking. Overview

It’s easy to find a camping spot to suit any interest in a state as large as Queensland. With 7,000 km of Pacific Ocean coastline and a richly diverse interior of everything from ancient rainforests to arid outback landscapes, you'll find plenty of options. Choose from some 1,000 national parks, forests and other protected areas, and a host of other camping sites. From the golden beaches and green hinterland of the Gold Coast in the south to the rugged loneliness of Cape York to the north, and the extraordinary Great Barrier Reef offshore, campers are spoiled for choice.

South East Queensland

With the state capital Brisbane as your starting point, head to Queensland’s first National Park, Lamington National Park (established in 1915), for cooler climes and ancient Gondwana rainforests. The south-east’s subtropical climate means lots of sunshine, perfect for any camping trip.

The volcanic peaks of the Glass House Mountains National Park offer hikers and climbers a challenge.

Whitsundays

From Airlie Beach, take off for the green islands of Whitsunday Islands National Park or stick to the coast, exploring Conway National Park, where you may be joined by rock wallabies. Despite its holiday atmosphere, it’s easy to get away from it all. The best islands for hiking and camping are Whitsunday Island and Hook Island.

Southern Great Barrier Reef Region

Straddling the Tropic of Capricorn, this somewhat under-rated region has much to offer. Visit in summer for turtle nesting and hatching at Mon Repos Conservation Park, or head offshore to Lady Elliot Island. The main towns are Bundaberg and Gladstone, but it’s worth checking out the coastal villages of Agnes Water and 1770 or heading inland to explore the trails and gorges of the spectacular Carnarvon National Park.
