Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes.
I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups.
Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to.
I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost.
The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks.

Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

The Hartley Vale Garlic Farm was established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic, that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.

This campsite is a flat grassy area with rural views to the west and north west. Enjoy the lush green grass under the shade of old gnarly trees. Dogs on leashes are very welcome.
Campers will have access to toilet during their stay, just a short walk from the camping area.
Various birds, wombats and wallabies are common around our farm and we're located very close to Carrington Falls (Budderoo National Park), the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk
and Barren Grounds Nature Reserve where you can go for a lovely bushwalk or have a swim.
This campsite is best suited to caravans or RVs as we are situated near a
semi-busy tourist road between Robertson and Jamberoo (perfect if you need a safe place to stay on your adventure). Our front paddock has easy access off Gordon’s track.

The forest has a beautiful creek and waterfall, perfect for a day trip.
The property is conveniently located 1 hour from Sydney and just a 2 minute drive to groceries, food and a pharmacy and 7 minutes from the pub and a doctor.
A 30 minutes form town and close to attractions such as Glenworth Valley and Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary. Also Markets every 2nd and 4th Weekend.
The site currently does not have toilets or electrical facilities, but something we are working on. So please bring your own toilet and take with you.

This is such a beautiful and precious hip camp. The people that run the farm are so lovely and very accomodating. They do tours on weekends and take you to their animals. /teach you about the farm and its history.
There is a really lovely waterfall and walk and the orchards are beautiful to walk around with tasteful oranges!
The funds raised from the hip camp goes to the Rotary charity in many countries it is a very cool concept.
We would highly recommend checking this out!

Great base camp to explore area. Fantastic views and sunsets. Michelle is very helpful and accommodating. The two dogs Daisy and Stephen are beautiful and great entertainment as was their little helper Oscar who was very informative and great to have a chat to.

Lovely place. Very scenic and peaceful. Would benefit from toilet upgrade. We almost cooked inside the tin shed with the warm weather. No escape from warm weather with not being allowed in the water and not much shade. Caretaker was lovely. Kids loved the animals being around to say hello to. Would go back but maybe not in summer.

Had an awesome time camping in a large group at Bonnie Doon. The dam was great for non stop entertainment for young and old. Matthew was a very flexible and approachable host. Was a great base camp for climbing and canyoning over the weekend. Would highly recommend.

Had a great long weekend at the Missingham Creek site. Site is very tranquil and private, with no noise from the other occupied sites reaching our group of 7 on the Aus day weekend. Plenty of room for 5 or 6 tents and the campfire was great.

We’ve been staying at the grassy paddock really with friends and it’s the perfect camp site with everything we need. Ample space away from other campers, clean toilets, the dam is always great for a dip to cool off in the summer and Matt is always so welcoming and easy to talk to. It’s a pleasure to visit each year and we hope to keep returning.

Really nice campsite, nice views and quiet and peaceful.
We arrived super late in the evening and had a lot of trouble finding the site (don’t be stupid like us) we also picked a weekend where we had torrential rain the whole 2 days. Even still, we enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
The two farm dogs were really friendly and came and adopted us for the weekend. There’s some sheep, and chickens too!
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet Michelle nor did we learn about the farm/ garlic etc - it was a cold miserable weekend so maybe next time when it’s pleasant we’ll get to do those things.
Note: upon arrival through a brown gate, turn immediately left and follow the track to the campsite (we had major issues finding so thought I’d reiterate here)

I liked how secluded and private the camp site. It’s nice to pitch a tent on grassy ground.
It’s surrounded by trees, so we got plenty of shades and avoided the sun during high heat of 37C.
The toilet is not near, maybe 250 metres away. I don’t mind the walk at day light. It’s a flush toilet, has sink to wash hands. Bring your own soap and toilet paper. It has sensor lights and switch light inside.
Very low traffic sound, not bothered at all. We hear mostly birds chirping, which is great. Grocery is 8 minutes drive.
Carrinton falls is about 5 mins Drive. Illawara Fly Tree top is about 10mins. The delicious Robertson Pie 3 mins drive. Must try lemon tart and chunky beef pie.
Anyway, overall we enjoyed our stay.
Highly recommends this camp site if you want to explore around the area.

Beautiful land, so spacious yet still private enough it felt as though you were in the wild. Beautifully kept, very accessible, very scenic, and toilets only a short walk away.
