You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Pets are welcome please pick up after them. Unfortunately, due to a recent incident. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times. The dangerous dog in question bit 4 people in less than 24 hours. Including my husband twice. You know your dog, But you cannot predict what another campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here. Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied. Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people, the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. If in doubt call. 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. This year the weather has been terrible. From record rain to drought conditions in 3 months. Because of the earthworks there has been a bit of dust, which we have tried to control with grass seed and then no rain.... once each section of earthworks is done. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow. 6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and CANCEL your booking if you are not sure. 7) We cannot control the wind, the sun, rain, or lack of rain.

Next door is Oakvale Wildlife Park and close by is Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters and Go carts Go. A boat ramp to the Tilligerry river is 2.5 kms away which is a great area to fish and kayak . Popular bushwalking tracks are also nearby. Our local shops including a Bp foodworks, bakery, bottle shop, fruit and vege and Take away are 2.5 km away. Also close by is Murrays Brewery and Sunset Vines both with great food, wine, beer and weekend entertainment. We have a flushing toilet.Tank water is for onsite usage only and we ask that you are conservative with water usage. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here. Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied. Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control. We are located 40 mins from Newcastle ,20 mins from Birubi Beach Anna Bay the northern end of the 32 km long Stockton beach which is well known for its giant sand dunes and great surfing, you can also go for a camel ride while you are there ,it's 30 mins to Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay which has several beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Next door is Oakvale Wildlife Park and close by is Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters and Go carts Go. A boat ramp to the Tilligerry river is 2.5 kms away which is a great area to fish and kayak . Popular bushwalking tracks are also nearby. Our local shops including a Bp foodworks, bakery, bottle shop, fruit and vege and Take away are 2.5 km away. Also close by is Murrays Brewery and Sunset Vines both with great food, wine, beer and weekend entertainment. We have a flushing toilet.Tank water is for onsite usage only and we ask that you are conservative with water usage. Electricity hook up is available within the campsite (bring an extension lead) BYO firewood and please be firesafe at all times Dogs are welcome, for the safety of others campers they must be kept on leash during your stay and please keep dogs away from all horses on the property. We do ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave, we do supply a bin for recyclables such as bottles and cans only. This site is a beautiful bush block set well away from the houses at North Arm Cove. It’s very private and you really feel like you’re in the middle of the bush. Plenty of room. We found access to be a little tricky – we recommend that both car and van have good clearance. Communication with the owner was always very prompt and helpful. it was wonderful that we were able to bring our dog with us. Thanks!

We had an amazing time staying at Mei’s! The area is quiet and remote and the views are amazing! We arrived a day late due to flight cancellations and Mei offered us an extra night for free which was very kind. She was very accommodating and made everything very clear for us. Shower and toilet facilities are great and showers were nice and warm. Fridges are very useful for storing food and freezers had ice lollies for guests which was a nice touch! Would 100% recommend staying here. Thanks Mei!

Stayed at long flat for 3 nights. Site was very large and well maintained. Had platypus right in front of our camp each night. They came out just as the sun set over the range. Jo and Ian were very welcoming and happy to help. All sites spaced far apart so you hear no noise of other campers. Highly recommend and we already booked our next weekend away while we there.

I have to begin by saying that Jennifer is an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE host. She is truly an angel of a person—kind, generous, and extremely accommodating. She was quick to respond, sent us great recommendations, and even checked in with us via text every day to make sure we had everything we needed. We stayed on Site 5 for two nights, and the location was perfect. We were greeted by her stunning and friendly horses upon arrival, which was a highlight. The site itself is very spacious, sitting next to the trees and overlooking a little pond and paddocks. It was super quiet, and despite there being two other camper parties nearby, the layout offered so much privacy that we felt completely alone. We have a Nissan Patrol and a double-fold camper trailer, and the site was very easy to access and set up in. The location is extremely private, yet super-convenient—you are only about 15 minutes away from everything you could possibly need, and it’s central to all the famous surf beaches and nature walks in the area. We will definitely be back again!

It was a very handy spot to camp after a long days travel and before we headed through Sydney the next day to the far south coast. Only a short drive off the M1. Basically a tucked away horse paddock of a few acres with plenty of space between sites. We booked site 2 after reading other positive reviews. We liked it and felt safe and secure. Would booked again. As the owner’s description indicates there are no facilities and you have to be fully self contained.

We are Based in a Quiet Area in Howes Valley NSW TJ's has over 1000 acres of mixed beautifully grassed areas, surrounding Aussie bush, and a sand based seasonal river (the river is not always flowing fully). Where you can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Australia Bush, taking in the stunning views, listening to the wildlife, star gazing, go bush walking, splash in our crystal clear seasonal river or bring out your adventure side and go 4wding. Pets are definitely welcome, but please be sensible and do not bring them if they are aggressive. Please pick up after him/her (there is nothing worse than stepping in a dog dropping). Horses also welcome - we have a fenced cattle yard. Hot Showers are available. There are toilets placed around the property. We have communal sites plus separated private sites for those that would like some privacy. (If you would like a private site, please message us once you have booked). Have a Fenced off Kids Playground. Buggys (allowed any weekend at an extra fee). Quads and dirt bikes also allowed PLEASE NOTE; They are an extra fee and only allowed on specific weekends. As we like to keep our property quiet for everyone to relax from the hassle and bustle of everyday life. Please see our website or Facebook page for dates. Buggy Tours and kids quad rides are available (extra costs). We would like to advise that entry to our beautiful property is a dirt road and does have mounds. The road has just been upgraded and although has dirt mounds is quite easy. We suggest to drive over them on an angle and take your time. Some of our campsites/ Van sites DO NOT come with facilities. Please read your site description carefully. We have 1 powered site that is power ONLY on our Dam site. No toilets, showers, kitchen or pool. You need to be fully self contained. Some Campsites are in our lovely small manicured bush garden setting. It's a level, grass/lawn shaded area. There are 4x 15 amp powered sites. Suitable for small quiet groups/ families. NOT suitable for loud partying. The state forest is a short 10min drive away for bush walking, mountain biking and 4 wheel driving. Beach is 40 min drive away. We are located close to the Central Coast and Newcastle. (In Cooranbong ) Some of our camp sites have access to three eco toilets and only one shared shower, rubbish facilities and drinking water. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months. We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. Premium and exclusive natural camping at its best. Our farm is located on the beautiful Karuah River in the picturesque Monkerai valley. The river is a fresh mountain river running from the foothills of Barrington Tops. We only offer 5 sites across our 300 acre property giving you absolute privacy and a sense of serenity We were very pleased to have been recognised by Hipcamp as being one of the top 20 Hipcamp locations in NSW for 2022. Most of the year the river is lovely and clear and ideal for swimming canoeing floating on airbeds fishing photography or just enjoying. There is also some really nice bike riding and walking opportunities around the valley although you will be on gravel roads and we are only 25 min drive from the popular Dungog mountain bike park. You are likely to see a variety of birdlife other wildlife including black and white cockatoos ducks some lizards, occasionally wallabies, echidnas and if you are lucky a Platypus or two. We are fortunate to see platypus in the river frequently which is a sign of just how pristine the water running down from the mountains really is. You will have your campsite completely to yourself with no other camper near you. Privacy, tranquillity, relaxation and just enjoying nature is waiting for you. Be sure to bring your telescope as you’ll be amazed at the stargazing at night with no light pollution. With some lovely Spring rain the river is running beautifully and is great for a swim, fish or canoe. Swimming, canoeing and running the rapids on surf mats is always popular at our property and as long as the river is it normal levels and a lot of fun. However, we always highly recommend people wear some form of footwear in the river such as rafting sandals or old joggers or similar as the rocks are very hard on your feet and there’s a particular nasty little fish called a “Bullrout” that whilst rare can infect a nasty sting if you tread on one. No need to be overly concerned but be mindful. Our property is ideal for self-contained vans, camper trailers, medium motor homes, tents or swags, it’s up to you. There are no toilets so only suitable if you have your own toilet facilities and take away all waste when you leave. All toilet waste, leaving our property is very important and an absolutely essential requirement for all visitors. Public waste dump points are at Stroud, Dungog and Gloucester. Gloucester Dungog and historic Stroud village are nearby as well as Barrington Tops World Heritage wilderness area and national park. This is an operating farm and therefore farming activities such as cattle droving, fencing, grass cutting or hay making may occasionally be occurring somewhere near your site but we would always let you know. We are sure you will enjoy our farm far more than a crowded traditional caravan park or campgrounds. We do have some limited bags of firewood for sale at $20 a bag most of the year. These are heavy bags of very dry local Hardwood. You can also collect firewood along the riverbanks yourself or bring your own firewood for a campfire (subject to any fire restrictions) if that is easier and more convenient for you. When you make a reservation at the property we will always endeavour to put you in your preferred location as best we can. However if we are impacted by adverse weather or need to run cattle on certain parts of the farm then we may need to make a change to the actual site you are in and trust you understand. At the foot of the Watagan mountains, close to the Watagan 4WD tracks, picnic areas, and bike tracks. Also close to Lake Macquarie where you will find fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing etc. About a 20 - 40 min drive to beautiful beaches. Ideal for those wanting to be surrounded by birds, nature and a couple of friendly doggos. Also great for people wanting to try out their new camper, van or tent for the 1st time as we are an easy 1 hour drive north of Sydney on the M1 and close enough to shops for those forgotten items. Also we have unfenced dams and waterways, if you are camping with young children please consider carefully and let me know before booking. I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage. You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please BYO firewood. Fires are only permitted when there are no fire restrictions and in the designated fire pit and designated fire pit area for your own fire pit. Children 16 & under stay for free. Please notify host if you are bringing children. Please be careful and supervise young children near the water.
