Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Mains water is available at the property to top up your Vans or Gerry cans should you need to replenish, so never run out of water 😊 It is surrounded by picturesque green countryside laden with ancient Red Rivergum Trees and billabongs with access to river frontage for fishing and the King River Site and White Cedar sites have a swimming hole for those hot summer days. The Secret Island site does have a swimming spot but not as safe for little ones. The river is ideal for swimming, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property. Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around. The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us. Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras). These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. We are located less than 15 minutes away from Moyhu where there is a fantastic cafe, pub, and shops, and Milawa, where you can enjoy the award-winning Brown Brothers winery and Milawa Cheese Company. It is also less than 30 minutes to Wangaratta, Beechworth, and Myrtleford not to mention a few minutes from the Snow road. This site is for self-sufficient campers only. All guests must have their own toilet and all waste must be taken when departing to keep the natural beauty of the area. We also ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum to preserve the peace of the surrounding wildlife. The property is on the side of a hill, which provides spectacular valley views to the north. Our family live in the recently completed straw bale house on the property, which sits well below the camping sites. The property has a fully functional camp kitchen with a large deck as well as a bathroom with toilet and shower. Due to the slope the tent sites are not suitable for camp trailers (the tent sites are flat but there is nowhere flat to park a car next to it) and the tent sites are not suitable for vehicles. Therefore we can only accommodate people with tents/swags.

The property is on the side of a hill, which provides spectacular valley views to the north. Our family live in the recently completed straw bale house on the property, which sits well below the camping sites. The property has a fully functional camp kitchen with a large deck as well as a bathroom with toilet and shower. Due to the slope the tent sites are not suitable for camp trailers (the tent sites are flat but there is nowhere flat to park a car next to it) and the tent sites are not suitable for vehicles. Therefore we can only accommodate people with tents/swags.

Set on 20 acres this elevated setting features 280 degree outstanding views of the Ovens and King valleys with the alps on the not so distant horizon. Uninterrupted views to the sky also offer amazing stargazing. Everton township only 4.5 kilometres away has a general store which offers take away food, a service station and also a lovely historical hotel. A great base to explore the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail only 1.7 Klms to Everton Station junction where you can choose your destination for the day. Also a gateway to exploring Beechworth , Eldorado and surroundings. Milawa gourmet region also close by. Pioneer Bridges is a great local swimming spot for a refreshing dip in the warmer months, located 1.5 kilometres from the Everton township. It’s also dog friendly. A plumbed toilet, sink - cold water only, also cold shower and power are available in the nearby shed (50- 70 meters) depending on where you set up. A leave no trace request also applies. Both Telstra and Optus mobile coverage at the property. In the warmer months a gazebo for additional shade is a good idea. Hunters Spread Farmstay is located in the Victorian High Country nestled in between Yackandandah and Myrtleford. The region offers towns and villages with history and heritage, galleries and museums, health, wellness and Spas, breweries, wineries, restaurants, cafes, Milawa Cheese Factory, lookouts and waterfalls, swimming, paddling, fishing, walking and hiking, horse riding, mountain biking and cycling. Hunters Spread is only 30 minutes drive to Mt Buffalo perfect for skiing, snowboarding and snow play in the colder months. A great place to bring your horse to explore Hunters Spread bushland, Mt Big Ben, Mt Jack and Mt Buffalo national park. Whilst our horse yards are being built, we can offer a safe and secure laneway for your horses to be kept for $10 per horse per night. Waivers are in place and will need to be signed prior to any riding on the property. The farm offers a campsite with brand new accessible amenities including hot shower (limited). Firepits are permitted and wood will be provided (depending on fire restrictions in place at the time of booking). We welcome pets on leashes, but they must be under control at all times by owners and cleaned up after. We ask that you organise and confirm any animals coming to the farm prior to booking by message. The powered camp site can cater up to 50 people. $50.00 per person per night (except children under 10 years old). All persons under 18 years of age are to be supervised whilst on the farm. Alternatively, for people not wanting to camp out or those with caravans or RV’S we have a site in close proximity to a 20 x 9 mtr shed, powered with concrete slab. This is a lovely camping spot tucked away in the King Valley with absolutely incredible views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The hosts were super accommodating and friendly going out of their way to deliver us some matches when we arrived after dark and needed to cook our food! We were also shown around the native fish farm across the road from the camp which was fascinating. The camp site is ever so conveniently located 200m walk from ‘La Cantina’ winery which has some beautiful wines! A short drive will also take you to the bigger wineries. Thanks Kim and Andrew. We will be back again for sure!!

Actually we had a choice of all Kerryn’s sites and chose the White Cedar. Such a lovely site beside a huge Cedar tree and the King River. Everything was set up. Wood for the open fire together with a grate for cooking, big logs for sitting around the open fire. Bird life was amazing, kookaburras sang night and morning. The solitude was terrific amazing as it was just a short distance from town. I walked my dog on the property and watched the kangaroos. There were even fish jumping in the river unfortunately we forgot our fishing rods. Our hosts were very friendly and wanted to make sure that we were aware of our surrounds and to stay safe. I would highly recommend BillaBong Flats farm it’s in such a beautiful part of Victoria.

What an amazing place to rest and relax. The sites were huge with fire pits provided. Lots of shade and sun depending on your preference. All you can hear is the sound of the water and birds. There were lots of flies but even people in town had the same issue. I would highly recommend Willowood. I will be back.

Robinia Rainforest is a great site for privacy away from other campers. It's the last site furthest away from other campers with plenty of shade as well. Also feels like your own private section of River as well with the way it curves along the camp sites.

We loved our stay at Willowood! It was such a beautiful, peaceful property. The site was immaculate when we arrived and the built in fire pit was a bonus. My dogs loved swimming in the river and watching the cows. Our experience may have been an anomaly, as we didn’t see any reviews mention this, but the number of flies did impact the tranquility a little. We also came unprepared without any deterrents (rookie mistake for seasoned campers), so we’d recommend bringing some along to make the most of your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back.

Peppermint Grove is a beautiful, private site with a lovely view over the Kiewa River. The sound of the river was also so tranquil, it made our stay very relaxing. The site is flat, large and had some nice shaded spots to sit and admire the river and surroundings. The fire pit was also a bonus. Such a picturesque property, I wish we didn’t have to leave! Charles and Cas were wonderful, accommodating and friendly hosts with great communication before and during our stay. I highly recommend this Hip Camp and look forward to returning.

My friends and I had the most wonderful five nights off grid camping in our vans. So much space, wonderful swimming hole. The fishing was amazing! Fire pit well set out, so much wood supplied! Kerryn and John were both so lovely, so welcoming and happy to help with any request. The access to mains water on the property was a game changer!!
