Closest hip camp to Dubbo township and Zoo. 5 to 7 kms to Zoo and Town centre. 5 minute drive to the Zoo.
5kms to 27 hole golf course. 3 kms to Delroy Park Shopping centre.
Some days you can hear the lions and monkeys from the zoo
Lots of Kangaroos on site. Lots of Birdlife ( Eastern Rosellas , Grass Parrots, Willy Wag Tails, Kestrals , Currawongs, Quail , Kookaburras, Magpies , Blue wrens etc).
Land was previously a sheep station but nature is slowly reclaiming it. We have been here six years and have seen hundreds of native trees come back through not overgrazing and fencing off bushland.
Dry sandy creek bed (good for kids to explore) , except during floods. Lots of shady gumtrees.
2km grassy walk around fence line for those looking to exercise during their stay.

A tranquil 85 acre property with multiple options for your stay, along the banks of the Talbragar River or by wooded areas bordering the beautiful Scrubby Creek.
The sites are self-service with no amenities currently available, so best suited to those happy to be self-sufficient and with a 'leave no trace' approach.
All sites offer bushwalking options (maps can be provided via email), an abundance of native flora and fauna including wild birds, the occasional echidna and wombats.
You'll also find sheep and cattle meandering around the paddocks, along with our horses and free ranging peacock. We also have a super friendly kelpie and dachshund pup making the farm feel complete.
Dogs are welcome & we have stables or individual paddocks available if you'd like to bring your equine friends (no riding on the property due to insurance).
Only 15 minutes to the centre of town & is a great base for your visit to Dubbo.
Located on the Mudgee side of Dubbo, it's an easy place to pull up on your travels and we look forward to your visit.

Very private, safe and quiet property, just outside Dubbo town centre. Excellent spot to base yourself for a walk around town, exploring the Goal, and the zoo! Both of which are excellent.
Site 1 is the biggest for large set ups, but we managed site 2 well with our NPS truck and 19’6” van.
Great of you are taring with dogs.

We had the best 5 days. Sites are big and the river provided us heaps of fun during the day with the kids and the dogs. This was one of the best camp trips I have been on. And the hosts were amazing and super receptive with any concerns or questions we had. The kids rated it 100/10

Beautiful cleared safe and peaceful site. We stayed on site 1. Slashed walking track to creek. Our dog loved this walk and it was very cool under the trees by the creek for an Arvo drink after a long travel day.
Huge site with a fire pit.
Easy access for caravans. Flat site. No over hanging trees. Loved it 🫶

Spent a couple of peaceful nights camped by the river. Matt's map & directions made it super easy to find. We had to place to ourselves and didn't see a sole of the entire stay.

Would highly recommend this place. The photos don’t do it justice. We stayed at Site 3 which had a beautiful view of the river. Really quiet and peaceful among the gumtrees. The site was nice and flat and Matt & Leanne left bags of fire wood at the gate for you to purchase which was very convenient. Matt is excellent with the communication and very accommodating. Only 15 mins out of Dubbo. We will definitely be back if we are passing back through this area.
