Black Mountain Nymboida River 4/AWD

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents170 acres · Nymboida, NSW
You will come here to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of `Black Mountain'. `Black Mountain’ is on Gumbainggir country. It is a registered conservation property bordering Nymboida River and Nymboi-Binderay National Park. Alastair and I have shared the property for more than 25 years and consider ourselves custodians of this precious place. Visitors enjoy: the pristine river; walking tracks through diverse terrain; starry night skies and campfires. Previous guests recommend staying at least two nights to soak up the atmosphere and explore the area. Choose from the 'Ant Shack' or four adjacent campsites with easy access and views to the Nymboida River. Shared facilities include a hot shower and composting toilets. You can walk, swim and kayak, explore the area or just relax for days. We can’t accommodate domestic animals or allow fishing, not even catch and release because we protect our wildlife and the endangered Eastern Cod. Black Mountain is remote but just 60 kilometres from Grafton or Coffs (via back way). 2WD access to our house is from Nymboida only. 4WD/AWD from Lowanna or Glenreagh and 4WD/AWD down to the river/campsite area - Not suitable for caravans. All proceeds from Airbnb and Hipcamp are invested in the continuing conservation of Black Mountain.

Yidaki Vibes

1 site · RV, Tent2 acres · Nana Glen, NSW
Nestled near the quaint country town of Coramba, New South Wales, and accepting just one booking at a time, lies a hidden gem of natural wonder - a property that connects to breathtaking bushland, teeming with a symphony of wildlife. Towering eucalyptus trees sway gently, their leaves whispering secrets of the land’s ancient past. There is a large camp area, ideal for several caravans/camper trailers or tents. There is a beautifully handcrafted shelter and campfire area, perfect for coming together to share stories of the day and enjoy a shared meal. You'll have access to an unoccupied granny flat nearby, with a nice toilet and shower. Near to the campfire area is also an on-site unoccupied caravan, which has a fridge and power you are welcome to use. There is also a bed in here you can use should 1 or 2 people in your group need additional shelter (they will need to BYO bedding). The camping area is bordered by State Forest, which links up to National Park - so you can explore straight from camp. And there is a beautiful flowing river 2km away. Great bushwalking and birdwatching, plus good access to options for 4WDing in the region. All in all, Yidaki Vibes offers a great space for a group of family or friends to camp together, and connect with nature and the Land, while also having modern amenities for a comfortable and easy stay. This property, cherished for its vibrant ecosystem, holds a special place in the hearts of the indigenous people. It resonates with a rich tapestry of cultural significance, echoing stories of generations past. It’s a place where the spirits of the land and its custodians harmonize, sharing their wisdom with those fortunate enough to listen. In this haven, one can immerse themselves in a world of natural wonder, finding solace in the embrace of the bushland, drawing inspiration from the river’s flowing melody, and connecting with the profound cultural heritage that reverberates through the very soil. Here, the essence of Australia’s beauty and heritage converges, offering an invitation to all who visit to be a part of its legacy, even if only for a fleeting moment.

Ochre Lands is a beautiful property with various clearings surrounded by dense forest, around 40 mins from the quaint historical village of Bellingen. The property is surrounded by lush rainforest and also has creeks and a river running throughout its 201 acres, with plenty of swimming spots to explore. Enjoy relaxing by the river looking up into the trees for the amazing range of wildlife. There is a long drop toilet on the property available to campers.
