Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar. Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. I stayed in the beautiful Bell Tent at Mellows Ridge and absolutely loved it. The setting is incredible, surrounded by tall trees, birdlife, rocky outcrops, and stunning views. It’s so peaceful, with plenty of wildlife around. I even spotted a diamond python and echidnas! The Bell Tent itself was spacious and luxurious, with lights, music, power, and a private toilet - everything you could need. Enjoying delicious wood-fired pizza and wine in the hot tub overlooking the valley was just perfect. My dog had the best time too and even made a new friend, Lana (Ian’s lovely dog), who took us on a tour to the waterfall! Sitting by the campfire listening to the birds was so relaxing. It feels wonderfully secluded yet it’s just a short drive from town. The customer service was exceptional - having a strong coffee delivered at 7am was amazing. I really didn’t have to bring a thing. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for peace, comfort, and a touch of luxury in nature.

Stayed for 2 nights on the weekend with the family, it was lovely and my girls had the best time. The tent was spacious & clean. The host made the space very aesthetic and cozy. And out stay comfortable There was Double bed and 2 single bed all with beddings, pillows and duvet covers perfect for family of 4 or any group of 4. Everything needed for camping is there, Bbq, fridge, kettle toaster, so really we only need to bring some change clothes. The host also prepared some torches for my girls, lantern and spare batteries incase we need them, very thoughtful :) And there’s a beautiful river nearby which was lovely for water play, quick dip, or just simply enjoy the nature . There’s also some beautiful pools with waterfalls cascades that require abit of hike 15-20 mins, we chose not to go because we have a 4yo with us. The highlights for my daughters was the farm animals, Melissa lets them join in every feeding while we were there - lots of animals feeding & patting time, it was truly an experience for them. This place is truly gems! Only abt 1 hour from Sydney But feels secluded & private, shops are only 5 mins drive from the property. Its the easiest most convenient camping experience you’d have! Highly recommended! We will be back for sure

Very well located camping facility next to Goulburn. The designated area has some open grass for campfires and general activities, trees to explore and collect firewood from, and a small pond. Our 2-night stay gave us the chance to switch off from the city and immerse in the sounds of frogs and birds at night, while daytime was spent spotting the odd wallaby (and a feral deer) amongst the woods. It was also very nice for the hosts to put our 2 tents close to each other, since we came as 2 families and this allowed us to do all activities together instead of being on opposite ends of the property. Omar and Mya are very hospitable hosts and have excellent knowledge of their property to make a stay here a real treat!

Our family trip to riverside glamping was fantastic. In the tent everything was neat and pretty with a welcome treat, and Melissa was super helpful and made sure we had no issues. Kids loved feeding the animals, and we even explored few of the recommended places that was mentioned in the file at the tent. The view from the tent is amazing, and wake up mornings with many different bird songs.

Highly recommend silky oaks. I was in the retro Glamping and there was everything you needed. Bed, bbq, outdoor chairs, fridge, kettle, fan and heater if needed. Outdoor shower with hot water and toilet. Great location close to Sydney but still peaceful and private. Lots to do wander around the farm, feed the horses (bring carrots) or explore the area. Highly recommend. The camping site were great too by the look of it.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Rosewood Farm! It is a stunning spot and the hosts were very kind and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved sitting around the fire pit under the stars at night and exploring their length of the pristine Bargo river below by day. We're hoping to come back in summer!

We loved camping at Rosewood, having the fire pit roaring and the river in the background makes for a perfect experience. We had fun making friends with the goats and the location was handy for a lazy weekend away. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed, and apart from being cooold (that’s midwinter camping for you) nothing went awry.

The homestead at Towrang Farm Stay is an original shearer’s cottage, part of a larger landholding. Completely destroyed by fire the stone walls remained intact and the cottage was completely rebuilt recently to a luxurious country house. The farm itself today occupies 25 acres with stock paddocks, a lake, and gardens and is surrounded by a rolling countryside of sheep and cattle farms with majestic views towards the horizon. The cottage is accessed via a tree-lined driveway from Towrang Road which is fully sealed to the Hume Highway. The current owner has stocked the farm with ‘rescued’ animals which she has nursed back to health, including farm animals and retired racehorses. Her care for the animals has made them friendly to visitors who can interact and care for them during their stay, providing a complete farm life experience for all the family! Children and guests love petting or feeding the sheep, horses, geese, and chickens and doing some daily farm chores during their stay – including collecting the free-range eggs for breakfast locking up the chooks for the evening, and letting them out in the morning. The resident cat is also friendly to children. In season there is plenty of fresh fruit to be picked in the orchard and the dam is stocked with trout. (Fishing rods are supplied – catch your own dinner!) The homestead itself is spacious and equipped with all the conveniences for your stay. Three queen bedrooms cater for up to 6 guests, with a sofa lounge sleeping another two. A fully stocked pantry in the large country kitchen has basic provisions – all you need to bring is the food for your meals. There are lots of places in the garden and the wrap-around verandah to sit and relax plus a gas barbecue and table settings for al fresco meals. Awakened to the sound of bird calls. Experience native fauna – kangaroos and wombats often pass by!
