56km from Millthorpe · 2 sites · Tents, RVs · Canowindra, NSW
Rosnay is a pioneering organic farm in the Central West. The Statham family moved to Rosnay in 1996 and began renovating the run down farm using organic and biodynamic methods. They planted the first vines in 1997, and olives in 1999, as well as thousands of native trees, all planted and grown without any chemicals. The exclusive camping area is on the banks of a old farm dam in the middle of the olive grove. There are sheep and alpacas, and plenty of birds and kangaroos living there too. For those who prefer not to sleep out in the elements, we also offer a lovely farmstay guest house by direct booking. Rosnay is proud to be part of Rivers Road Organic Farms, an organic farming community title project.

Bindari | A High Place in Wiradjuri

45km from Millthorpe · 5 sites · Tents, RVs · Rockley, NSW
This 1/2 acre site is suitable for small camping stays and campervans. It's dog friendly and has great mobile and 3/4G reception especially for Optus and Telstra. Two wheel drive vehicles can park on the pad just past the entry which is perfectly level or the gravel landing just before the entry which is almost level. The site is in a great location on the last residential block of historic picturesque Rockley in the Central Tablelands (Wiradjuri Country) NSW. Surrounded by nice paddocks remnant bushland screens the site from the no through road (about 5 cars a day) provides shade and brings in birdlife and other animals. You might even see an echidna or koala! On the main street about 10mins walk from Bindari is the Rockley Pub by Matt Moran plus a few other trinket shops. The pub is open Thursday-Sunday and has great pub meals and a good vibe. You can leave your vehicle parked at Bindari and take the short walk through the very pleasant historic village. Different routes there and back make for a nice round trip to explore the scenery of the old gold rush village on foot. The easiest way to get to Bindari at Rockley from Sydney is by taking the Rockley road from Bathurst. From Sydney take the Great Western Highway (A32) up and through the Blue Mountains, a stop in Blackheath works well as it’s about ½ way. Then down the steep Victoria Pass into the Central Tablelands and straight through mostly dual carriageways turning left just before Bathurst onto Rockley Road. The scenic route is lovely and actually shorter but very tricky to navigate with phone reception dropping out and maps behaving strange as you are not taking the ‘main’ road. Add in a few potholes, unmarked road features, wildlife and country drivers coming at you in the opposite direction and there are as many surprises as there are wonders. But if you are a confident driver ready to take it slow when needed you are in for an enjoyable journey. At South Bowenfels, before Lithgow, take the off road at the service station (a good place to do a last check of fuel, tyres etc) and head towards Tarana, a lovely country pub. Next landmark is the O'Connell Hotel then put Rockley into the maps. This should bring you across the country through some amazing views but very tricky driving the first time you do it. So stay sharp (especially at night with wombats, rabbits and roos on the road) and only drive to the road conditions and your experience level.

37km from Millthorpe · 3 sites · Tents, RVs · South Bathurst, NSW
Our camp sites are only available during October for the Bathurst 1000, at this time. 3 Veg Farm is a small organic urban market garden on the edge of Bathurst. Established in late 2020, with over 1000 native species planted it is slowly emerging as an eco sanctuary. More than 50 different cold climate seasonal vegetables and flowers are grown on 3 acres and sold at the Bathurst Farmers' Markets, as well as from the farm gate shop and box deliveries around town. You can preorder a box of veges for your dinner. Watch the daily goings on of planting and harvesting, or get involved and learn all about permaculture - workshops and/or volunteering available. (Please note that this is an urban farm beside the train line on the edge of town, not a wilderness, so some industrial noises and trains can sometimes be heard around the clock.) Bathurst shops, restaurants and Mt Panorama are just 5 minutes drive away. Explore our heritage as Australia's oldest inland city, and there is a lovely little pastry cafe right around the corner. Bathurst is central for exploring the outlying goldmining & historic villages of Sofala, Hill End, Rockley, Carcoar as well as the Bridle Track and a beautiful drive along Fish River to Tarana and Evans Crown walking track. This is a safe space for women travellers and LGBTIQ+ folks.
