Set up your self-contained tent or off-road caravan over looking the Clarence River and enjoy breathtaking views, from soaring cliffs to sandy beaches. Explore walking and mountain biking trails, spot platypus in the river, or unwind by peaceful rapids and swimming pools. For horse lovers, we offer personalized riding and equine experiences. Join a 1- or 2-hour River Ride, and if conditions are right, swim bareback with the horses in the river. For a unique thrill, hop aboard the Troopy Horse Safari and move with the herd as they gallop through the landscape.
Beyond horses, there’s plenty to enjoy: swim, kayak, or fish in the refreshing waters, explore scenic trails on foot or bike, and relax by the campfire while stargazing under clear skies.

Lovely spot. The cabin was clean, new and had everything we needed. The hosts even had milk, eggs and berries in the fridge for us. WiFi was available. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked great. We were only staying as a stopover on a long trip but I would definitely recommend it for a longer stay.

Absolutely beautiful property! Ngaio was super lovely and accomodating. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Our dog had a fantastic time running free in the paddock and swimming in the dam. Looking forward to coming back when we’re next in the area.

Absolutely beautiful property, generous hosts, very handy to the highway. We had a lovely stop off in the studio flat & would love to return for a longer stay. A great place for kids & our doggo loved being able to interact with the animals, was very curious/wary of the super cute highland cow!

Weekend Trip to Misty Valley Glamping
This camp is AMAZING. Hosts Jodie and Caz were so helpful. They organised us a hot bath under the stars on the first night. We sat around under the huge camp kitchen which had a large table and chairs, a pot belly fire and an option for another fire under cover if needed. There were also a few games which was great during some down time. The fairy lights and solar lights are not only very practical and provides excellent lighting around the camp, but look so beautiful too. There is a waterfall hot shower, and the huge fire pit was beautiful to sit around and keep warm. Our hosts assisted in lighting the fire and talked us through our camp oven roast dinner - delicious. We were taken on a tour of the property on the Polaris which was great fun. Caz has lots of information about local wildlife and native plants. Although we had some rain intermittently, we had plenty of room to stay warm and dry under the camp kitchen. There is fresh tank water and firewood. Will definitely be back. This would be a great spot for a group booking with so much room. Loved it. Thank you.

WOW! What a magical place!!! From the minute I arrived, I knew I had reached the highlight of my 4 day camping tour!
A beautiful drive south from the Bruxner Hwy between Casino and Tenterfield, run by a lovely woman called Shanti and her equally lovely husband. They have about 30 horses on their property and offer horse trekking (at additional cost).
The site is on the land below their house, there are two bathtubs (lit by campfire underneath) overlooking the river with the most sensational sunset view. Outdoor shower available and toilet (with a proper flusher!!).
Kayaks and Paddleboards available to use.
Pros: Sentational views; peaceful; outdoor shower & toilet; campfire; easy access; bathtubs; firewood available (at extra charge); lovely female owner!
Cons: Nothing! I could have stayed forever 😍

This site has been put together perfectly by Jodie and Caz. From a cozy comfy glamping tent that is made to feel like a room to the fire pit that had unlimited wood to keep us warm all weekend. Can’t recommend this destination enough it’s truely perfect! It has everything you need.

Such a beautiful stay.
I booked this off grid getaway for my mum and she had the most amazing time. Warm, cosy, and had everything she needed. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made her feel so welcome. She even got to feed the cows and enjoy a drive in the polaris around their stunning property, which she absolutely loved. One of the highlights was using their outdoor pizza oven—the hosts came up to help get it going so she could make pizzas for dinner. The driveway was easy to access, even in her little Corolla. It was the perfect peaceful retreat and a really special experience. Highly recommend their genuine country hospitality.

Weekend Trip to The Ranch on Clarence
We loved staying in beddy blue at the Ranch. The whole experience was amazing, from turning up and being greeted by Jingles, 4 friendly dogs and a stallion, to staying in beddy blue which was super comfortable, to having a wood fired bath overlooking the river. Everything you need to have a relaxing stay was provided. We also added on a horse ride the following day which was outstanding. Shanti is very accommodating and easy to get along with, and we felt extremely comfortable on the horses she had picked out for us. We have mixed riding experience however the ride was exciting and enjoyable for both of us. We will definitely be back and look forward to doing so.

We booked a weekend at The Ranch for our daughter’s 10th birthday. She is a mad horse rider so was looking for lots of horse riding and time with horses! We had a fabulous weekend, and will definitely make plans to go back! Shanti was a wonderful and welcoming host, so knowledgeable and experienced with her beautiful horses. She catered to our unique needs as riders, matching us with a horse each to suit our experience. The troopy ride was thrilling, riding behind horses galloping in the wild was just the best!
Shanti went out of her way to set up Beddy Blue for us and we loved the space, right on the river, fire bath at night, and private! She made us feel very welcome on her land and around her home.

We booked the swag site as a last minute weekend away, once we arrived we upgraded to the bell tent and it was amazing!
All the small details and tiny thoughtful touches were magic.
Everything from the warm hospitality of Jodie and Caz to the camp kitchen that was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The gorgeous outdoor hot shower, the games, the huge fire pit to the gorgeous cows we met 🥰 Their little slice of heaven was so serene and peaceful. We can’t wait to come back!
