Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops. Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle. This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest. Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home! Alastair and I have shared the property for more than 25 years and consider ourselves custodians of this precious place. Visitors enjoy: the pristine river; walking tracks through diverse terrain; starry night skies and campfires. Previous guests recommend staying at least two nights to soak up the atmosphere and explore the area. Choose from the 'Ant Shack' or four adjacent campsites with easy access and views to the Nymboida River. Shared facilities include a hot shower and composting toilets. You can walk, swim and kayak, explore the area or just relax for days. We can’t accommodate domestic animals or allow fishing, not even catch and release, because we protect our wildlife and the endangered Eastern Cod. Black Mountain is remote but just 60 kilometres from Grafton or Coffs (via back way). 2WD access to our house is from Nymboida only. 4WD/AWD from Lowanna or Glenreagh and 4WD/AWD down to the river/campsite area - Not suitable for caravans. All proceeds from Airbnb and Hipcamp are invested in the continuing conservation of Black Mountain.

The House Our spacious farmhouse comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests across four bedrooms: • Two bedrooms with queen beds • Two bedrooms with queen beds and bunk beds The home features a large open kitchen and living area, complete with a TV, Thermomix, and pod coffee machine — perfect for relaxed country meals. The bathroom is wheelchair-friendly, and all linen is provided. The Hut For those wanting an authentic bush experience, the hut accommodates extra guests with two sets of bunk beds (suited for swags) — $30 per person, per night. It also includes a large open fireplace ideal for camp-oven cooking, plus a table and dartboard for a true rustic retreat. Farm Life & Activities Cinnabar is a family-run working cattle farm, so you may spot our cattle and working dogs in action. We welcome pets, but kindly ask that they are kept on a lead for everyone’s safety. Enjoy kayaking, swimming, and catch-and-release fishing in the Clarence, or simply relax and soak up the peace and quiet. The closest pub and general store are in Copmanhurst (46 km) — a great spot for a hearty feed and a cold beer. The nearest supermarket is in Grafton (76 km). Breathe deep. Switch off. The bunk house was super comfortable, and the outdoor amenities were so serene. I absolutely loved my stay and will be back! Loved waking up and being able to greet the horses, ducks, chickens and lovely dogs.

We were upgraded from a cabin to a glamping tent and had such a wonderful time with the family. The pool and little water park is perfect for kids and everything was lovely and clean and well looked after. Amazing friendly staff and everything you needed. Will definitely be going back.

I loved staying in the bunkhouse at The Ranch on Clarence. It's an amazing property with plenty of animals, breathtaking views, and plenty of places to walk on the property. Add to it that you are really close to Yates Crossings where you can 4wd, go for a swim, or even just go for a nice walk around. I would very highly recommend staying here.

Shanti is a very welcoming host. The Bunkhouse is an experience on its own! Sleeps 9 pp, comfy matresses, a small fridge and an amazing covered outdoor seating area to enjoy a fire at night. Phantom, the stunning stallion, roams freely around the property. 3 hens, 1 roster and 5 friendly dogs complete the happy family. Other horses are across the road ready for a beautiful ride to the river, where you can get to swim with your horse. This is just an amazing adventure away from the croud, where kids (and big kids!) Can just relax and enjoy.

Unforgettable Nymboida Getaway! Our stay at Nymboida was incredible! Merryl was an amazing host, and the pristine river made for the perfect escape. The highlight? Spotting a platypus and two kingfishers—pure magic! The kids felt so safe, and the canoe adventure was unforgettable. Can’t wait to go back—this time, just with the boys! 😜 Highly recommend!
