Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos, keep your eyes peeled and you may see the resident white kangaroo, Migaroo. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is 100-200 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

Shark Creek Retreat is an ongoing conservation project, where I call myself the caretaker of these beautiful wetlands. I have dedicated 77 acres of it as a wildlife sanctuary, it is a member of the Wildlife Land Trust and has joined the Land for Wildlife environmental community. To date there is a property bird list worthy of a National Park for all you keen birders out there and I have been busy regenerating previously cleared land from farming and the 2019 bush fire with native plants local to this area in the 100's. My aim is to surround most of the property in wildlife friendly fencing, regenerate a flora and fauna corridor as a wildlife safety zone from the wetlands to the road and to create a tranquil little space for nature appreciative people to stop and a take a rest. Up and coming projects will be to erect a shower shed, composting toilet and a tree tent for visitors but for now campers will need to be self sufficient. All the materials I use have been recycled and mostly salvaged from the local tip. Off-lead can be decided depending on the dog and the interaction with our passive 10 year old Koolie who is very relaxed around other dogs. They must be controlled as sheep are nearby and we have an abundance of wildlife. We have a slackline, a rope swing and badmitten for anyone looking to include more play in their stay! Responsible campfires are permitted in the metal fire pits in designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood can be purchased for $15 P bag Full Mobile reception for Telstra and Optus although we encourage you to minimise screen time during your stay and immerse yourself in the off-grid lifestyle 😉. The large and grassy campsites are located on the banks of the Clarence River where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, water skiing and jet skiing. Guests staying with us are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campers can launch a boat from the property to enjoy all the river has to offer. You can drive the boat to the Ulmarra Hotel nearby, they have a jetty where you can park and enjoy a feed and a drink. You also can take the Ulmarra Ferry and Drive to the Ulmarra Hotel for dinner or lunch. You can access the property via road from Grafton or via Ferry from Lawrence and Maclean. We are located just 11kms from Grafton should you need any supplies. Please note, caravans are not permitted on the Ferry but camper trailers are okay. We farm Hay on the property and do have some friendly cattle around who may wander past to say hello. Campfires are permitted outside of fire restrictions. Sorry, no pets.

Take in the serenity from your own little piece of paradise on the banks of the pristine Clarence river. Just 6.5 km from the jacaranda city of Grafton and 40 minutes drive from Yamba, we offer two level grassy camp sites surrounded by a beautiful poplar shade tree plantation. Private boat ramp directly in front of camp with easy access. 4x4 is recommended for boat launching. You can fish right from camp! Drinking water is connected as well as hot shower and toilet, plus you have your own BBQ and picnic table. Relax while the kids swim, fish or paddle the river. The beaches of Yamba are only 40 minutes away and the beautiful mountains of the great dividing range can be seen from your camp site.Campfires permitted, but you must BYO firewood, or, I can provide you with firewood. Please let me know.Access is possible for all vehicles. Plenty of room for caravans and rigs to turn around.

Our 40 acre property is home to four quiet, secure, exclusive river front sites on the mighty Clarence River. Boating, fishing and crabbing literally at your doorstep. And it's just a 15 minute drive into the towns of Yamba and Maclean. The campsites are situated right on the bank of the mighty Clarence River, perfectly suited for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet. Please note: Sites 1 and 2 are available for booking up to 3 months in advance. Sites 3 and 4 are only open for for booking up to 1 week in advance as long as the ground isn't too wet. Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos, keep your eyes peeled and you may see the resident white kangaroo, Migaroo. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is 100-200 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

It's an easy and safe place to rest for a night just off the FWY, or make it destination as we are central to so many amazing surf beaches, bush walks, rivers and historical towns along the Clarence River. This whole area of the Clarence Valley, Yuraygir National Park and State Forests is loaded with outdoor activities, birds, wildlife, and is a absolute hidden gem. Take your time here to explore our conservation property which has plenty of native flora and fauna to discover then head next door to the Glenugie State Forest which is a good place to hike, mountain bike, 4WD, hunt and bird watch. We live on site and will be in and out working on the property. As builders who love to use recycled items, we have made some pretty fun and interesting composting toilets and bathrooms for you to use and enjoy. We have our work cut out for us restoring the old Grafton Racecourse Beer Pavilion and the surrounding bush after years of logging and cattle grazing. We welcome you to have a fire, beers and explore as you wish. We are an easy going couple with no kids or pets, happy to leave you to it or show you around.

Goodwood Island River Camp is strictly for Self-contained Caravans/Motorhomes/RV's with a toilet. NO facilities at this property. Camping on the Clarence and North Arm Rivers. Watch Dolphins and other wildlife including Kangaroos and Birds. Fishing, Swimming, Relaxing, hear the ambience of the Pacific Ocean waves in the distance. Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding (not supplied). Nearby Beaches, Surfing, Pubs, Supermarkets, Golf Course. Dog Friendly (well trained to not chase wildlife). Goodwood Island River Camp has abundant wildlife including Kangaroos, eagles, goannas and SeaLife in the river. It is always advisable to keep a good distance from all of our resident wildlife as they are in their natural environment.
