Come and camp on the banks of a creek, where the bushranger Ben Hall used to camp with his horses in the mid 1800s! The property is located smack bang in the middle of Young, Forbes, West Wylong and Cowra - taking about an hour to drive to each. The is plenty to do and see in the area, including exploring the nearby Weddin Mountains National Park and Bimbi State Forest. Just 20 minute North is the quaint town of Grenfell. Tucked into the beautiful Lachlan Valley, Grenfell is a fascinating gold rush town with great galleries, historic buildings and superb country pubs. There are also many events celebrating the town’s rich history and culture. Campers will enjoy flat, grassy sites on this 15 acre block. The creek is suitable for swimming, fishing, yabbying and paddling, and is quite wide in spots. This campsite suits self contained campers, who bring their own facilities and leave no trace. Rosnay is a pioneering organic farm in the Central West. The Statham family moved to Rosnay in 1996 and began renovating the run down farm using organic and biodynamic methods. They planted the first vines in 1997, and olives in 1999, as well as thousands of native trees, all planted and grown without any chemicals. The exclusive camping area is on the banks of a old farm dam in the middle of the olive grove. There are sheep and alpacas, and plenty of birds and kangaroos living there too. For those who prefer not to sleep out in the elements, we also offer a lovely farmstay guest house by direct booking. Approximately 45 minutes from Orange, 4 hours from Sydney. The region between Molong and Parkes offers scenic views, bush walking, bush camping, picnic areas, mountain biking trails, and 4WD touring. To the northwest lies Goobang National Park that includes Caloma lookout, one of the high points in the Wanda Wandong sector of Goobang National Park. The area is a bird watchers' paradise - you can often spot birds of prey, such as wedge-tailed eagles, brown goshawks and brown falcons, soaring across the sky. Black cypress pines, grevilleas, lomandras and heath feature commonly on the landscape. There are many tall grass trees in this area too, some of which are believed to be hundreds of years old. This is a large property that is taking a break from sheep farming. Covered in gum trees and pines and lots of open space. The property has a creek with all year round water holes and dams. You can do almost anything you want. Hiking, fishing, swimming, camping and living the dream. There's emus (bush chooks), kangaroos (hopping dogs), platypus and no drop bears, meaning you can sit back, relax and go back to the way it was. Self sufficient campers only, leave no trace. You must bring your own camping toilet and shower. If booking under the Group listing, you will need to arrange you own portaloos, which I am happy to manage delivery/pick up of with the local hire company. It's 15 minutes to the pub in town if you're up for a coldie or a meal. Our farm is a work in progress.

Food, drink, the great outdoors and even live music entertainment, truly Canowindra has it all. Our property proudly boasts the original miner's cottage circa 1860, which is one of the oldest original buildings in the area. No amenities at the campsites currently. Campers must be 100% self contained and bring their own camping toilet and shower. Pets welcome but must be kept under control, leashed, and tethered at all times. Horses considered. The campsite in the olive grove was excellent, plenty of space and the facilities enough to make for an easy, relaxing, and peaceful stay. I had three nights and enjoyed the birdlife, clear night skies, and the cellar door close by. The hot shower, gas cooker and fridge made the camping so easy it is a great place for a quick getaway.

We requested a last minute booking to stay due to being rained out at our previous campsite. Darrin was prompt and friendly. The communal areas were outstanding and very warm. We loved spending time with the friendly dogs. The check in instructions were clear and the site was very quiet and peaceful. We had a great stay.

Amazing. Glamping not camping. Very comfortable shared space that we were very lucky to have to ourselves. Lovely to have warm aircon on an unexpectedly freezing cold night. Boys loved the pool table and tennis table. Adults loved the warm shower and en suite. Lovely leather couches. Make sure you get a coffee and bite to eat at the Roasted Kombi in town as well.

Great place if it’s very hot or cold with a nice air conditioned cabin for us to use with sofas, pool and table tennis, perfect for kids or teenagers to play in. There were chickens, horses over the fence, sheep and the adorable Penny the dog who was happy to snuggle at any moment. The sites also have beautiful views over the valley. Also only 4 minutes from the excellent aviation museum and a few minutes more to town.

Great location for solo or group camping. Stone's throw from the winery cellar door. We recommend getting a cheese platter with your tasting, fantastic experience! Really lovely and helpful hosts. Camp kitchen is well equipped for making food, with some basics to help out. Beautiful olive grove to explore. Plenty of wood for the fire. Awesome tree house for bigger kids.

Arrived after dark and left just after first light but from what I could see, the property was located in a beautiful area. Sharna was extremely welcoming and an amazing host, checking up on me which I truly appreciated as I was travelling solo. Definitely recommend staying at this Hipcamp and exploring this little part of Australian countryside, tucked in next to the Nangar National Park
