Old Bara is a stunning cattle property, often described as truly magical. Camp next to the creek and dogs are welcome! Old Bara offers so much more than just a place to park. Suitable for all size vehicles/vans/tents.
We have great loos, voted as "the best in Australia" however, we do not have showers or powered sites.
Many sites available, avoid the crowds, we do not over crowd our campers. Only 25 mins easy drive (including 9kms of dirt road) to all the wonderful Mudgee wineries, cafes and restaurants. It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge the batteries.
We have limited phone coverage across the property for Telstra and Optus.

'GlenArthur' is a mixed grazing farm property located approx 16 klm from the small town of Binnaway, and 40 klm from Coonabarabran NSW. A great place to disconnect and get grounded in a bush setting.
Explore a few klms of trails and views throughout the property by hiking or biking around campsite, along trails through paddocks and wooded areas of the farm. Keep an eye out for with local wildlife both on the ground and in the trees. Clear skies at night display an abundance of stars within the Milky Way that you just can't see in the city. A campfire is allowed subject to any local fire restrictions at the time.
For your convenience the campsite has a permanent steel awning which supplies a rainwater tank, and has solar powered lighting. Absolutely loved our stay at Glen Arthur. Don and Leanne were so welcoming and shared their wealth of knowledge about the area. Between the scenic bush walks in close proximity of the camp site, to the mountain bike trails spread throughout the property, there was something for everyone. Being able to accommodate our large group, meant no one was left behind and made for a very relaxing weekend. Will definitely revisit in the near future.

Great secluded spot outside mudgee, not too far. Nice drive in. Great views from the sites which have plenty of space between them. Amenities were perfectly fine. Host's were very friendly and welcoming and happy to answer any questions. We'll definitely be back.

We loved the serenity and privacy. The dogs had freedom to splash in the dam and roll around in the lush green grass. The fire pit is amazing! Access is 4WD only and was an easy drive to the campsite with our camper. Cattle in the paddocks nearby are beautiful to watch and hear. We will definitely be back! The private, well maintained & spacious site is enhanced by a peaceful outlook to the dam & rolling hills. The fire pit & wood provisions were next level! Proximity to Mudgee is very convenient.
While there are steep sections, the road is well formed and we were easily able to access the site with our 18’6” semi-off-road caravan. Sam & Dean are very helpful & friendly hosts.

Old Barra was great. Huge sites, quiet with rolling green areas and waterways. Check out the ‘Picnic Table’ an easy 4WD track to the top of the hills. Wonderful place for cheese and wine as the sunsets across the hills. Loved our stay. It’s going to be our regular escape.

We loved camping in our van here. Friendly hosts, clear directions, in gorgeous surroundings we were serenaded to sleep by the froggies in the damn. Plenty of room for our pup to run around and possibly the best fire pit we've come across. If we'd known it was so good we would've booked for more than one night!
