Weekend Trip to Amaroo On McLays

Deebie was an amazing host! Great communication, clear instructions and helpful advice on the surrounding area for activities. We arrived to a spectacular spot which felt like home on arrival. Super clean and the escort into the spot always makes things a little more personal. We’ll be back soon and would 100% recommend it to anyone!! Thankyou again Debbie. You’re the best!

3 nights at Amaroo On McLays

Didn’t want to leave. We extended our stay due to the weather, Debbie was a wonderful host and extremely accommodating from our arrival right through to departure. Great place to relax and wind down, accessible flat sites, easy walk to the river, kangaroos grazing every morning and late afternoon, you can take a stroll through the bush to look for koalas (we spotted at least 5). Fire pits provided with firewood. If you’re travelling with a dog this place is fantastic. Very close to town for supplies if needed. We loved it !!! 🏕️🤩

Fabulous secluded spot near a beautiful billabong. Flat sites and well looked after. Their 2 horses were nice company to watch playing together in the morning. Debbie is a great host and was good enough to meet us on arrival to help guide us. Highly recommended spot and close to Narrandera too for provisions etc.

Secluded with beautiful big gum trees surrounding us, lots of wildlife & a lovely fire. We only stayed one night, but I really wish we could have stayed a few nights as it was perfectly relaxing. Thanks Debbie-Lee!

We all enjoyed our stay and it has been our favourite camp site on our trip to Tassie so far. Aj was friendly and helpful with clear communication.

2 nights at Cudgella on Bundidgerry Creek

We had a great 2 nights stay at Cudgella. AJ was great, providing clear instructions before arrival and then making sure we were settled in, providing some great tips on the site and the local area. There was heaps of room for us to spread out with our van and pets. Easy access to the river via a small beach for fishing or launching a kayak, with grass, a shelter, sink, firepit, toilet and shower. We spotted a heap of possums and a koala from the site. The clear skies made for some epic astrophotography. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great location, Debbie-Lee was there to show us the spot and where to look for Koalas...that we found very private and nice place

3 nights at Catania Fruit Salad Farm

This was a lovely stay! It was a little confusing at first where to set up... But after (2) quick calls to Sharon we found a wonderful spot... Sharon couldn't have been any more helpful and even told us where to find water if we needed it... Also giving us the opportunity to use the toilet even tho this is a full self contained site... A perfect proximity to Griffith and all the things to see and do... The price was extremely reasonable and we would definitely recommend this hipcamp

1 night at Cudgella on Bundidgerry Creek

We loved this beautiful true Aussie campsite! We were delighted by the sheep nearby, some with newborn babies. The camp facilities were more than expected including a rustic camp kitchen and full bathroom. Sunrise and sunset were stunning across the lake and the stars over the campfire are beautiful. Aj is a great host and offered up interesting places to visit in the area. Highly recommend and will return if we get the chance.

We arrived at Amaroo and were taken with the breathtaking serenity. Debbie was waiting for us and very friendly, supplying us with a fire pit and there was an abundance of wood to burn. The property was very tidy with loads of places to park and lots of trees if you prefer the shade. The billabong was gorgeous. We would definitely recommend Amaroo on McLay to anyone. We will definitely be back for 3 nights as there is so much to see in Narrandera that we weren’t aware of. So cheap at only $30 per nigh

We loved our time at Amaroo on Maclays. It was easy to find, DebbieLee was an amazing host, she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We arrived with car issues and both Deb and Darryl gave us tremendous support. I highly recommend this spot, peaceful, large sites for privacy, it felt safe, was very clean and perfect for some off grid camping.

We absolutely loved our stay at Triacca's Bend. It was so peaceful and quiet. Plenty of firewood available and the fish were biting! Would highly recommend staying at this campsite.

A fantastic spot for a family! Nice and quiet and safe for our kids to ride their bikes around and adventure to the swing that Debbie has put in for the kids. Debbie was kind enough to let our kids pat and brush her horses. Even going as far as collecting fire wood before we arrived. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back.

Totally enjoyed our stay at Amaroo on McLays, Debbie-Lee was there to greet us on our arrival and helped us select an area right for us. All campers were respectful and quiet and the whole weekend was very relaxing. The children, aged 18 months to 17 years old, had fun exploring the bush, the billabong, the riverside beach just down the road and the night & morning wildlife. 5 gold stars for family camping! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We are 3.5km from the Narrandera town centre, so all amenities are close by. Suitable for all types of vans, RVs, camper trailers, although you must be self contained. The property has a security coded gate and is boarded by the main canal on the north and the Murrumbidgee Regional Park on the south. It’s only 100m from the Murrumbidgee river and a 2minute drive or short bike ride to a large sandy swimming beach. We have an abundance of resident wildlife on site (including koalas) We welcome short or long stay and pets are welcome on request. The campsite is a convenient 14km from Narrandera, and 12km from Grong Grong, not far off the Newell Highway. In town you will find all the supply and grocery stores to meet your needs.Located on the banks of Bundidgerry Creek on the Old Wagga Road you will find the old Cobb & Co route, south of the Newell Highway. Camp along the same water’s edge where travellers from past centuries would stop overnight on their journey out west. The campsite is located on the edge of the creek in an open, grassed area with plenty of shady trees. The creek flows well all year round and offers a fantastic spot for the family to enjoy. Swim, fish, kayak, canoe, launch a boat or relax and read a book as the sunlight reflects off the water.At camp you will have access to the undercover camp kitchen with a sink, BBQ and tables. There is a firepit, wood fired pizza oven for cooking. Guests have access to a gas hot water shower and flushing toilet. We ask that you leave no trace and take all your belongings and rubbish with you.Your pet is welcome to camp with you.Enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking or just relax.
