2 nights at Rosewood Farm's Riverside Glamping

This camping spot is set in the stunning bushland along the Bargo River. Surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature and the river, made for a perfect escape. The goats and alpacas added an extra layer of charm to the experience and the short walk down to the river made it feel even more special. The tent is cozy and comfortable, and the toilet and shower are just a short walk away, Having access to hot water and electricity only a stones throw away was an extra bonus! it was the ideal blend of nature and convenience. Our wonderful hosts were attentive and welcoming, and the location was conveniently close to town for any supplies we needed. This glamping experience is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax and connect with nature with the camping experience, and without having to pitch a tent or sleep on the ground! We will definitely be back again! Thank you

Weekend Trip to Rosewood Farm's Riverside Glamping

This was such a great place to spend the weekend. Everything we needed was there and Ben and Melissa were so helpful. It is located conveniently close to town with plenty of things to do nearby. Our kids loved the animals and the fire pit. Our hosts even set up soccer goals for our soccer loving son. We absolutely recommend and will be back to enjoy the river in warmer weather.

The Colo Hut was a great spot , not too far from Sydney yet far enough to feel away from it all. The hot shower was an added bonus in the cold and having a sink was extremely convenient. The river is a few steps away from the site, we tried fishing but had no luck. The fire pit was great for cooking and keeping warm. Thanks Richard for sharing your property!

This is a beautiful spot for a group to take full advantage of excellent amenities (including a spotless hot water shower and toilet) for a relaxing break. We had a bit of rain on our trip, and the large roofed-in deck made an excellent shelter for our tents to sit under. The river access is best in the afternoon (steep and muddy bank during morning high tide)

We had a beautiful long weekend at Colo river hut. The hut was a great place to have dinner and enjoy a shower. Great to have the whole place to ourselves and enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the field. The host provided firewood and was very helpful with directions and answered a couple of questions.

We love the Glamping Tent with great matress. Recommendation to have 4WD due rough roads and downhill. Peaceful place with river to swim. Watchout with cows and sheeps in the land. They can took our foods. Make sure that you bring cooking equipments eg. kettle, plates, fork, and frying pan. No fridge so pls bring esky and coffee/tea. We did not bring it - we thought it was provided.

3 nights at Jila Camp Grounds

We had such a lovely experience glamping at Jila! The location was perfect, a very short walk to the front of the property to the beautiful Grose river where we spent lots of time swimming in the shallow water! The tents were very spacious and clean. The camp kitchen had bbq’s and sinks to wash up as well as a large picnic bench that was perfect spread out on! We did run into a small issue with the hot water but Phillip was incredibly responsive and it was fixed straight away. Highly highly recommend Jila if you’re looking for something close to Sydney but feels like you’re hours away! Thanks again for our stay!

Well located camping grounds next to the Grose Rivers - shallow running water - great way to cool down and relax. Recommend the Jila flash camp - 10 large tents set up in the round with a central fire pit and cooking facilities, toilets and showers nearby. Roomy tents - would highly recommend for a large group. Need to bring some shade cover in the height of summer and eye mask to for those who are light sensitive. Great value- would go again.

Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :) PLEASE ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property. The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :) Our motto is leave no trace. Colo River Hut

We are 1.5 hrs from Sydney. On arrival you will feel the atmosphere of this wilderness area. Colo River Hut is located adjacent to the Colo River. A beautiful, unspoiled location on a pristine river. With it's own private beach and over 400 metres of riverfront. We are on the opposite side of river from the the Wollemi National Park. The hut sits (alone) within the eastern (10 acre paddock) of our property. There are no walls and so you have permanent views across the paddock to large sandstone cliffs and we are less than 30 metres from the riverbank. The Hut has a rustic tin roof, a large bench area with power points and task lighting. Tents or swags can be set up within the Colo River Hut. Or, if you wish, you can set up your tent or camper or small caravan adjacent to the Hut. There is plenty of room as there is a maximum of 8 guests (and 3 vehicles) with each booking. The Hut has a raised hardwood timber floor and enclosed composting toilet and hot/cold shower facilities. It also has ceiling fans for airflow and insect control. We provide a gorgeous shaded area under a large tree with valley views, with a large bbq table and chairs and fire pit (with grill) for your enjoyment. Firewood is also provided. Suitable for swimming, canoes, bikes, Bass fishing, and hiking, the Colo River Hut can be as active or relaxing as you wish. The Colo River Valley remains largely undiscovered, and is on the edge of the Wollemi wilderness. The Colo is fed by the Wolgan and Capertee Rivers. It has a long history and retains much of its' early unspoiled charm.
