Welcome to Lyrebirds Nest, a quiet bush escape. Lyrebirds Nest cottage is situated in the bush with forest views from the balcony and rooms. The cottage is setup for glamping with an wood stove, queen bed (BYO linen), sofa, electricity, filtered water (hot and cold), hot indoor shower and composting toilet. A bar fridge and microwave is also provided. The open fire is not to be used. The surrounding land on the property includes a lake with jetty, sauna, olive grove, orchard and chicken coup. There are great hikes on the property or you can follow the creek and continue into the State Forest. There is plenty of wildlife to see, a bird lovers paradise with plenty of Lyrebirds, king parrots, black cockatoos to name a few. You're welcome to stay in the cottage or camp by the lake. Located half way between Canberra and Sydney, and 15 minutes walk from Penrose station with easy access to all the Southern Highlands has to offer.

If you are after a quick stop in the middle of town and experience Kiama‘s farm land, this is the place to stay. Please take your rubbish with you as we don’t have council pick up. Please note checkin is at 2pm and check out is at 11am.

Located in the beautiful Wiarborough Valley, Forestvale Farm sits on the border of Gundungurra and Wiradjuri Country with the Blue Mountains National Park, Mares Forest National Park and Wombeyan Caves at your doorstep, plus conveniently located on the Bicentennial National Trail, come and escape to the peace and quiet of the country, but with the convenience of great coffee and restaurants only minutes away. We look forward to meeting you on arrival and showing you to your campsite on our working property depending on your vehicle and camp setup, weather and location of stock. Some sites are 2WD accessible via gravel or dirt road, and some sites require a capable 4WD particularly if you are towing a camper. All sites have lovely views. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Fill your days swimming in the creek, exploring the property on foot, on mountain-bike, set up yabbie traps in the dams, or sit back and relax listening to the abundant birdlife that calls Forestvale home and keep your binoculars and camera handy for the visiting wildlife including wombats and kangaroos. Forestvale Farm is a working farm and you are welcome to view whatever activities are happening during your visit, or head out beyond the farm gate to visit the Taralga Zoo, stock up on fresh organic produce grown by our neighbours, dine on hearty pub dinners in town, or fish for trout on the Abercrombie River just up the road. Campfires are permitted (subject to prevailing bushfire risk conditions) but please speak to your hosts before lighting one. They must be kept contained and at a reasonable size. Pets are welcome but must be kept restrained at all times to protect stock and wildlife. Guests will be asked to leave if their dog is not restrained. Please note mobile reception is limited in the Wiarborough Valley. What a great opportunity to switch off and enjoy your holiday. No hunting allowed.

We are a family of 4 with 2 school aged boys. We have travelled extensively around Australia and are familiar with the caravanning lifestyle. Pitch your self contained camper or caravan in our secluded garden in Bundanoon. We are only 0.5 acre but there is plenty of space for kids and well behaved dogs. Depending on the size of your set up and rainfall you will either be on grass at the back of our garden with moderate privacy or at the front of the house on gravel - not as much privacy.  We have a fire pit, (fire wood available) and chooks and a thriving veggie garden. There is a zip line, cubby house, swings, sand pit, paddling pool and toys for younger children. We hand feed the wild king parrots who come frequently. Hook up to water and power and you can manually empty cassettes. Wifi is available but can be unreliable. Bundanoon village is only 1.4kms away. The pub is even closer! Moreton National park is only 2.5kms away and we are familiar with the walks there. We will mostly be around if you need us and are more than happy to recommend places to visit and eat. I can also offer wholesome home cooked meals or meal hampers - please message me ahead of time to enquire / arrange. Bundanoon has a small IGA, several restaurants (including a decent thai and Italian), pharmacy, post office, newsagent, multiple cafes and various shops.

Lovely people running the estate and if you haven't put your phone down in a while and sat by a fire, then book a few nights here. You'll love it. Relatively easy to find, even at night. Felt very off grid which suited our style of camping. Luckily we had the whole place to ourselves for the first night and when someone arrived the following night we didn’t even know they were there. Felt very safe. Would recommend.

We had a lovely time staying at this campsite. It was full of nature including Kangaroos and wallabies hopping right beside out tent! We were the only ones at the site so it was lovely and peaceful! The way in and out is very steep but Barry was very helpful and we managed it in our 2wd car (in good and dry weather)! It is more of a wild experience but it is more than enjoyable and just a short 15 minutes drive from the beach as well so it was a perfect location! We would recommend the spot to anyone who wants a peaceful and slightly wild camping experience! Thanks Barry!

Barrys property really felt like it was just you and the trees, my partner Michael and i had a one night stay here, but felt like our own little oasis. At Falls Forest, you'll find 400 acres of private native forest with an abundance of wildlife, welcoming self-contained campers to immerse themselves in nature. You'll be camped just 15 minutes drive from Huskisson, Hyamms Beach, and St George's Basin - a great location if you want laid-back bush camping, but also crave a restaurant meal and a swim in the beautiful waters of Jervis Bay. It is isolated from the overcrowded tourist parks and offers great secluded camping. At the right time, you will literally not see another human for days if that is your wish! At the current moment, a 4WD is essential to access the property. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and take all waste when they go. So if you are tired of that 6 metre x 6 metre tent site and don't want to hear the guy next door coughing and snoring, or if you just want to only hear the sound of the breeze through the trees, come and stay a few days or a week or longer if you wish. Seclusion this accessible from Sydney is a rare commodity. Pets are welcome, but please keep them under control as we value the wildlife. Sorry, no cats for that particular reason.

The Gulf is a 965-acre property situated near Wombeyan Caves in NSW. It's a fantastic property and wider region to explore, and enjoy an authentic Aussie bush camping experience. There's the Gulf Creek nearby that you can get to by 4x4 or you can go fishing, bushwalking, swimming, bike riding or horse riding. We offer two camping areas, that have enough space for multiple groups. One is higher up with great views, and access for caravans and camper trailers and the like. The other camping area is down by the creek but really only accessible for those with a 4X4, swags, rooftop tents etc. Plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect for firewood. All campers need to be self-sufficient at this time as we don't currently offer toilet facilities.
