Brooman is a working farm and encompasses lots of beautiful spaces, restored old buildings, two small mountains, fertile river flats, native forests, grasslands, deep water holes, tree covered rapid sections of river and sweeping views. Brooman is less than 30 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful beaches on the south coast. Shallow Crossing is 10 minutes to the south. North is Pigeon House car park, Yadboro and the base of The Castle. To the West there are hundreds of kilometres of Forestry and National Park roads through some of the most spectacular forested mountain country east of the Coastal Range. The Clyde River Berry Farm is just minutes down the road. Local fish and chips, great coffee and handmade bread is 25mins drive at Burrill Lake. Some of the best restaurants and bars on the coast are less than 40 minutes drive at Milton and Mollymook. Glennbrooke River Camp offers approximately 1.2 km of stunning river frontage which feeds into the beautiful Wagonga Inlet. Campers are required to be fully self sufficient with their OWN toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. LEAVE NO TRACE. This is a working farm approx 70% cleared remainder bush. Sub Alpine so the temperature can change quickly and snow, the area has quite a verity of bird and animals. There are currently 5 paddocks available no set campsites you pick your own site near mountain stream or in the bush also available is a self-contained cottage (view our separate listing for Calabash Manager's Cottage). This has 4 bedrooms bathroom, 3 rooms have queen size and 1 has a single, kitchen, heating when required is a slow combustion wood stove very relaxing. There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! No mobile phone reception if you walk around the paddock you may get a signal, If you need to contact us once you have a booking, contact us via email or landline. Temperature can change quickly and in winter you could be snowed in, so be prepared.

Weekend Trip to Truffle Farm Camping

Beautifully maintained camping grounds and very nice setting. We camped, but also used the van as an ensuite/kitchen storage, which worked well. There's only a few camp sites which can be booked at the same time so there is a great amount of privacy and we could camp a long way away from other campers. Kids will love the farm animals, as ours did. Thanks Tricia for having us.

The location is incredible and the cabin has everything you could wish for including an amazing fireplace that keeps the whole place nice and toasty, but the best part we're the owners, such genuine welcoming people that make you feel right at home. Weekend Trip to Brooman, on the Clyde River

A secluded little historic village in a peaceful valley. Half hour drive to the start of Pigeonhouse Mountain walk. The restored cottages are so charming, we were comfortable and cosy in ours, loved all the timber and features. Host took extra care to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic time, the cottage is cozy and the views were lovely. We had some hot water issues but our host was amazing at getting this fixed asap for us. Great little getaway for us and the dogs who loves running around in the enclosed yard.
