There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! No mobile phone reception if you walk around the paddock you may get a signal, If you need to contact us once you have a booking, contact us via email or landline. This is a special place – surrounded on all sides by State Forest and National Park, miles from the nearest neighbours (other than the resident native wildlife) it is a perfect place to get away from it all. With almost a kilometre of river frontage, the retreat is perfect for fishing or swimming in the Clyde river, bush-walking in the local forests, or for use as a launching point for exploring the surrounding national parks. In particular, the Clyde River Retreat is the perfect accommodation for visiting the spectacular Pigeon House Mountain (Didthul), or the many other scenic bushwalks in Morton National park. We are not far from the Clyde River Berry Farm (open in December and January). For artists, writers and musicians, the retreat offers something unique – an unspoilt environment and a simple lifestyle that will recharge your creative energies and enrich your artistic endeavours. You can spend all your time on the Retreat, or you can explore the local area. You are only 30 minutes from many of the beautiful beaches of the South Coast, or from the lovely villages of Milton and Nelligen. Ulladulla and Bateman’s Bay are also nearby. This is a working farm approx 70% cleared remainder bush. Sub Alpine so the temperature can change quickly and snow, the area has quite a verity of bird and animals. There are currently 5 paddocks available no set campsites you pick your own site near mountain stream or in the bush also available is a self-contained cottage (view our separate listing for Calabash Manager's Cottage). This has 4 bedrooms bathroom, 3 rooms have queen size and 1 has a single, kitchen, heating when required is a slow combustion wood stove very relaxing. There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! No mobile phone reception if you walk around the paddock you may get a signal, If you need to contact us once you have a booking, contact us via email or landline. Temperature can change quickly and in winter you could be snowed in, so be prepared.

Longvale Farm

Conveniently located off the Princes Hwy, a few minutes from the quiant village of Mogo, just five minutes from the beautiful Broulee Beaches and boat ramp, and less than 10 minutes drive from the township of Moruya, this farmstay provides a convenient and relaxing base to explore this wonderful South Coast region. The farm covers some 600+ acres, mostly untouched bushland. We have over 50 head of cattle, several Clydesdales, a donkey, chooks, peacocks, guinea fowl, rabbits, and more. You are welcome to explore the paddocks and the bushland and meet and greet our animal residents. Dogs are welcome, so long as they're kept under control, and restrained at night. There is a large shared swimming pool guests are welcome to use. Campfires are permitted in the designated fire pits, or you are welcome to bring your own fire pit that is elevated off the ground. Firewood is available to purchase - see extras. We offer two sites for self-contained campers, and for a slightly higher price, one site that allows campers access to the toilet and hot shower facilities. The camping area is a general, level grassed area overlooking the creek, where you can pick the spot that best appeals to you.

We had a magnificent weekend at the shack. so quiet, relaxing. A perfect bush refuge. the bird life was astounding and we were visited by the local platypus.

Weekend Trip to Truffle Farm Camping

Beautifully maintained camping grounds and very nice setting. We camped, but also used the van as an ensuite/kitchen storage, which worked well. There's only a few camp sites which can be booked at the same time so there is a great amount of privacy and we could camp a long way away from other campers. Kids will love the farm animals, as ours did. Thanks Tricia for having us.

The Shack provided us with the perfect long weekend retreat. Phil has set up the Shack with a cooker, chairs, table, comfortable beds and cooking utensils. The view to the river is beautiful and we enjoyed a refreshing swim and paddle board. We loved the indoor and outdoor fire - plenty of firewood provided! The best part - total peace and quiet! We didn’t see anyone else on the property! Thanks Phil - we would love to come back!

We loved staying at the river shack - it has everything you need for a relaxing, off-grid holiday. The shack is well stocked with cooking supplies and firewood and the log burner kept us cosy during the cold nights. The view from the deck was lovely - we even saw 2 platypus! Would definitely recommend the shack!

The most beautiful site on the river. So private, serene and relaxing. We were a bit worried about the cold (sub zero) but the shack is SO cosy with the fire. Well stocked with cooking gear, firewood and two drums of water (we still BYO drinking water). We were visited by a wombat and platypus! Perfect getaway for two couples and a dog.

Great setup in the caravan with lots of little bits and pieces for cooking etc, having a tap with drinking water and a gas cooker was really helpful. Nice quiet spot with lots of space for a tent as well. Creek was great to cool off in, kids loved it and want to come back, really lovely and thoughtful hosts.
