Near and Far Yamba is on an exclusive riverside private property, located 10 mins drive from Yamba NSW. If you like the quiet and being away from the mob in a rural area, you will enjoy this out of the ordinary property. If you’re an early riser you will see wonderful sunrises over the river, plenty of kangaroos, birds, jumping mullet, maybe a dolphin or sea eagle. The owners large homestead is visible, they are happy to share their property and surrounds as offered. CAMPSITES: 2 Exclusive spacious separate camp sites near the river - Cubby Waterfront site, space for group 1-3 Caravans, tents, campers, coasters etc . Mango Tree River View Site space for group 1- 2 Caravans, campers. SKIPPY Bush Camp 2 open field - short Stay for self contained ensuite caravans only. Not riverfront, tap water only, no other facilities. All sites - Leave no trace, means take your rubbish away. 3km all weather private road. A secluded private property with open spaces, unfenced river and canals, farm animals and wildlife close by. Kangaroos are regularly around the buildings, in the yard and can be grazing up to the door at night. Town water, grid power, Telstra WIFI is available in the area but not provided. Our powered site gives you a bathroom with hot water shower, septic toilet and sink. Part of a shed with a tv, radio, fridge and tables, a bbq, fire pit and plenty of space to spread out. Firewood is available on site only for $25.00 per night and includes 30 kg of seasoned split firewood and 10 kg of kindling/fire starters per night. Evans Head Camping is a peaceful, tranquil, private property within 4km of the beautiful beaches, river and township of Evans Head, on the Far North Coast of NSW. Surfing, fishing, bushwalking, swimming are popular activities in Evans Head. There are ample shops, IGA, SPA, Post Office, Newsagents, Butcher, Muzza's Milk Bar, just to name a few. Dining options - Evans Head RSL, Evans Head Bowlo, Illawong Hotel, plus thai, Japxican, fish and chip take away. 4WD Beach Access is located at Airforce Beach, about 4km's away. Woodburn-Evans Head Golf Club is a 5min drive. Activities include kayaking, bird watching, bushwalking, photography and just relaxing while listening to the birdlife. Koalas and kangaroos are regular visitors. The property is only available for camping weekends (varied nights) public holidays, and Easter and Christmas holidays. Quiet rural area with sealed road access north and south to the Pacific Motorway. Slashed grassy area with scattered trees, two dams, lowland rainforest, wetland with abundant birds and wildlife. Private ensuite with flush toilet, basin and solar shower with 240v light and power. Rainwater and bore water available and dump point. Caravan power available via 15A outside socket limited by 10A breaker. Reasonably flat 5-acre area one hundred meters off the main road via slightly rough but reasonably flat driveway. Mosquitoes are about day and night and a few ticks so repellent recommended. Blue billy goat weed is present and can cause allergies to dogs. Only cooking fires are allowed in the bushfire danger period, a portable fireplace and free kindling is available and some firewood but you may need to cut it up. Electric kettle & tea/coffee in container in shed. Prefer no pets unless they are indoor or on a lead under control as this property has a private conservation covenant, pets should have tick and heartworm medication. Fifteen minutes' drive to Alstonville or Patches and Broadwater beaches., 20 minutes' drive to Ballina and Evans Head. Wildlife includes abundant birdlife , Swamp Wallaby, Koala, Echidna, Bandicoot, Possums, goannas, carpet snakes and green and brown tree snakes. A good location to explore the Tuckean Swamp, the property takes in 20 ha of Lowland Subtropical Rainforest on floodplain and Melaleuca Swamp. Heading 4.5 km south along the road is the Bagotville Barrage from which you can explore the Tuckean Swamp by canoe for kilometres and observe the birdlife including ducks, comb-crested jacana and black swan.

We absolutely loved staying at this property. The sunset was magical and the stars were amazing. Sleeping among the kangaroos was also a real treat. If you do stay, be sure to bring bug spray as we got eaten alive.

Perfect for what I needed! I was driving south and just needed to pull in for the night somewhere, pop up the swag, and get going in the morning. This more than ticked the boxes for me. Garry's communication was great, and he welcomed me on arrival to show me where everything was. I was able to put the swag up in a bay in the shed so was undercover. The shed had lights so I didn't need to fumble about with all my torches, and the bathroom was a definite bonus with a light and power, too. Garry even offered a ground sheet for my swag if I wanted it. Legend!

The camp ground is perfect. Just enough amenities to make camping comfortable, shed, fridge, fan, radio, tv, some tables and chairs, undercover area, toilets and shower. Yet rustic enough to still feel like you are camping. Set out so well with area for tents, a camp fire set up and such a beautiful property filled with a chorus of birds, kangaroos and koalas. Cameron was super helpful and went to a great deal of effort to accommodate the needs of our group and the program we were running with our young people and we really appreciated it. I’m pretty sure that most of the staff were thinking about returning with their families it’s such a wonderful spot.

Came down from the gold coast for one night with my parents and it was perfect. Host is very polite and easy to get on with, and he keeps an extremely tidy space for you to use. I still got to feel like I was really camping even with all the facilities available, and my dad still got to watch the footy on the TV so whole family was happy.

Good solitary spot. You can walk around the trails. Heaps of space. Toilet, water, shower. Microwave, fridge, Fire cooking only, so bring butane/electric hot plates if don't use the fire. It was nice and very peaceful.

Cameron is an absolute gent with solid local knowledge. The site was perfectly clean and ready to go. The water in shower - HOT; and just what I needed in a winter's morning. Pitch pretty much anywhere you wish. It's lovely and flat, so no messing about leveling etc. Generous amounts of wood purchased from site owner. Burnt like a dream. Bringing the rest of family down next time (as there will 100% be a next time here). Site and everything else easily met, if not exceeded expectations.

Was a lovely bloke and very helpful with all things regarding the property and surrounding areas. Would recommend to ppl as it’s a big space and very private. Can have music as loud as you want with no neighbours and fire place is very nice. Price could be a touch lower but overall we were stoked with our weekend away.
