Enjoyed my caravan stay at Merimbula Camping 2. Value for money compared to most Hipcamps. Beautiful countryside, sites spread out, fire pits, wood delivery, small creek, composting toilet (that didn’t smell)

I’m so pleased to have discovered this fabulous camping spot. I was at Wombat Way and the Wombats were plentiful and very active at dusk.
I had a huge space to myself beside the creek and Meredith delivered a lovely load of firewood to keep me warm.
I’m a local, looking for a little peace and quiet and Merimbula Camping did the trick and more. I’ll be back. Just lovely!

What a great place Meredith has built. Spacious spots in a beautiful setting. It even has a hot shower. Would definitely stay again next time we’re down that way.

Merimbula Camping 2. Creekbank
We had four wonderful days in peace and quiet. Beautiful bush setting with lots of wildlife. Plenty of room to spread out. Cozy nights by the fire with starry skies. Meredith was very friendly and hospitable. Our doggies enjoyed the freedom to roam around on our morning walks. Nice hot showers and clean loo with a view. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

We stayed here in our camper trailer and it was perfect. Huge site to ourselves with nobody else in sight other than a few roos. Easy drive into Merimbula. Highly recommended.

Merimbula Camping 5. Amphitheatre
5 stars without hesitation. Meredith is a fantastic host and the property is truly stunning. It offers the perfect balance of feeling private and relaxing while still having quick and easy access to beaches, shops, cafes and plenty of nearby activities. This is the best Hipcamp I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve returned several times because it’s just that good.

Such a magical place, I could have stayed forever. Peaceful, beautiful outlook by the creek, Meredith and her sons were extremely welcoming and then left me to enjoy the experience. I will definitely be back.

We had such an incredible stay at this campsite and honestly didn’t want to leave. The space itself is beautiful - peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, giving you that perfect sense of seclusion and privacy. It felt like our own little escape, far away from everything, yet still so conveniently located.
What we loved most was how private it felt without being isolated. You’re only about 10 minutes from Merimbula and some of the most stunning beaches.
It’s also an absolute dream for dogs. There’s so much open space for them to explore and enjoy safely, which made the whole experience even better for us.
The site also had fantastic amenities including hot showers, maintained composting toilets and a charge point for batteries.
We look forward to coming back again and highly recommend!

Merediths property is so dreamy and was exactly the place we needed for a Easter getaway 🙌😊🐣 not too busy and so much land everyone has their own section. Compared to the caravan parks which were full id definitely recommend looking at booking here.

Amazing scenery. So surreal to share a camp site with friendly horses. Genuinely feels like off grid camping with the comforts of showers and toilet. PLUS so close to town and beautiful beaches

I could not recommend a weekend away here more. Amenities were fantastic, directions were clear. The views were amazing and the firewood was well worth the price. I will definitely be booking again.

Nice host, did not think the best of the site. Random furniture in places and not mowed. We moved on after one night to a caravan park in town for nearly half the price.

We had the most relaxing and peaceful time! The whole property is just beautiful, each section gives you something special. Even got to spot 3 wombats out and about last night. Meredith is lovely and so accomodating and has made it really easy to find your way and feel at home. We will be back ❤️

Meredith was a great host, very obliging with lots of help with directions on the best places to camp and the properties facilities. Lots of room on a huge property, each site is well spaced away from each other. Plenty of wildlife to see when you’re out exploring the property.

This site had a large land area such that quiet privacy in a bushland environment was assured. Meredith was helpful.
To our observation there was not a lot of variation in quality between the sites, the main variable being distance from toilets.

Plenty of space and options for camping - beautiful location with plenty of wildlife around. Short drive to beaches and all the amenities of Merimbula and Pambula. Excellent compostable toilets and option for a great hot shower (really appreciated!). Meredith is very welcoming and helpful.

Beautiful, peaceful and natural place with plenty of space between campsites. Lots of wildlife and friendly horses. Creek was great after some good rain. Hosts are friendly and helpful and even offer puppysitting too. Very close to beaches and shops and Merimbula town.

Amazing spot to disconnect and enjoy nature with wildlife. It has nice amenities and enough space for campers to be spread around the property. It is still in a fantastic location to Merimbula and neighbouring towns to explore. Would recommend if you love camping and a campfire.

Great spot. Peaceful, plenty of nature and good facilities. Close to Tathra for a quick trip for anything. Will come again and stay a few days, this was perfect for for passing through last minute

Overall, the price does not reflect the experience provided. It is way too expensive for what we experienced.
While the listing mentions a “seasonal creek,” there was no water present at all, and the overgrown creek bed suggests it has been dry for quite some time. This should be made clearer in the description, or reflected in the pricing.
The site was very crowded, with nine different vehicles and groups sharing a small area, which meant little to no privacy and no shade.
On a positive note, the eco toilets and showers were clean and well maintained.
