Cabin is located 6 miles from I 75 Tennessee exit 49 about midway between Knoxville and Chattanooga. The cabin sleeps four. Bedding is provided for one double bed, one single bed, and a cot.
Kitchen includes stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and basic cookware and utensils. Coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper are stocked.
We have plenty of room to park a trailer or turn around a boat you travel with. Several access sites on the Tennessee and Hiwassee Rivers are nearby. My brother and I built it from the ground up and did our best to replicate a 100+ year old mountain cabin. We do hope you enjoy the peace and quiet you'll get when staying at Keira's Kabin.Learn more about this land:If you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of today's busy schedule, this is the place. Surrounded by woods, nature and lots of wildlife. Keira's Kabin sits down in a very quiet area on the property along side a spring fed creek. It's very easy to get to and can accomodate up to 4 people. The bunk bed allows 1 person to sleep up top and 2 people to sleep on the bottom. There's also a lounge chair that folds out that another person can sleep on. All the bedding is available at the cabin, but if you want to bring your sleeping bags, you are more than welcome to. There are some eating utensils available as well as a variety of cooking tools (frying pan, tongs, spachulas, etc). You can choose to use the campfire to cook or you can use the propane camp stove if you choose. We also have a hot dog and hamburger holder, popcorn maker, marshmellow spears and sandwich makers that are used for cooking over the campfire. There is great cell service at the cabin but no wifi. Other area services include, Kengo gas station near the entrance of the property and within 7-10 minutes you can be in town to get anything you need. This space boasts an open floor plan with 15-foot ceilings and plush and cozy king and queen size bedrooms. There is a large closet and bathroom space for getting ready. Our open kitchen features every appliance and bar tool you could need to make a meal or prepare cocktails with your guests. Perfect space to entertain or hang out as a family!
Feel free to settle into the sofas and enjoy your favorite Netflix/Amazon shows. Or go outside and enjoy the amazing views of the Smoky Mountains, across our own flower fields, and onto the private airstrip that is adjacent to our property. From time to time you will actually see our neighboring pilots practicing with their aircraft.
Vehicle access is clearly marked and very easy to navigate straight to the hangar. Just follow the gravel road at the end of the culdusac all the way to the end where you'll see a large wood sign indicating our Airbnbs. Turn left at the sign and follow the drive all the way up and around to the rear of our main house. Feel free to pull right into the designated parking area for Terminal 1344.
We are McGee Tyson Airport close (10 miles) and just 30 to 45 minutes to Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Anakeesta and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

We stayed in a really cute, small barn-style space that clearly had a lot of handmade character and charm. You can tell a lot of it was built with a personal touch, which gives it a unique feel. That said, the ladder leading up to the loft was very petite and a bit difficult to use. Overall, it has potential and a lot of charm! We loved the plants and garden.

1 night at Great Smoky Mountains Getaway
We enjoyed our stay in the hangar! We stayed the other night in the historic train and then last night in the hangar. We appreciate that Dean took the time to explain some historic features of the hangar (he also let us know about the historic train that used to be a kitchen train during WWII). We were impressed by how spacious the hangar is; it is also very clean and organized. It was very peaceful and relaxing here, and it was nice being greeted by the dogs. A big thank you to Adrienne and Dean for their kind hospitality!

Such a cozy cabin in a low flat field. Caution if it may have suffered from rain, the field may be soft. Ask for a PIN to follow on Google Maps to the actual site because it's not at the address or pin that Hipcamp provides. Positives vibes come with the cabin, the peaceful pond, and the country setting !

We had an awesome time on our trip this past weekend. The temps dropped into the mid 20’s and we stayed nice and warm in our shelter. It was so well made and nicer than expected. All 4 of us were able to fit comfortably for 2 nights. The site itself sits right on a small pond and a short walk to the porta potty. This was the perfect spot for our little family adventure. The hosts were so wonderful to check in as we arrived and after the first really cold night so make sure we had enough fuel for the heater. Heater and battery were very appreciated even though we came prepared. Stores nearby if you forget something. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Had a great time at the cabin. We came in the off season on a rainy weekend that turned pretty cold, but overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very easy to find, had plenty of firewood (absolute must, no insulation) and secluded enough from the main part of the property to really provide that peace and quiet we were looking for. It could use a little tlc, but again, we came in the off season so it's hard to take any points off for that. Would absolutely stay here again.

I loved my experience at the little barn house! The cabin itself was very cute, and the atmosphere was peaceful for a solo trip to escape city life. Jon was fabulous and incredibly helpful when I was needing some support. It was fun to have some animals nearby too, though hunting season is real, so something to keep in mind. Overall I am super grateful for my experience and would recommend it for anyone looking for a little getaway.
