Getaway to our redesigned aircraft hangar adjacent to the Smoky Mountains and on our personal flower farm! Terminal 1344, is a 2 bedroom open loft space! We worked to maintain the original character, keeping it modern yet cozy with warm mid-century decor + an open floor layout! You can also book our WWII Converted train car also here on the property. We are conveniently located 30 miles from Knoxville & Great Smoky Mountains National Park. McGhee Tyson Airport is just 10 miles away! There is an outdoor pavilion with a BBQ, picnic tables, and comfortable places to sit. We also have a tranquil fish pond and bonfire pit located in the center of the property for all of our guests to enjoy. Make s'mores or just relax and listen to the gurgling water and enjoy the fish. Explore our 6 acres of property including a pond, fire pit, outdoor pavilion, and our professional flower fields where you will see the team cutting fresh flowers daily! Interested in learning more about our flower farm? Just ask! We LOVE to give tours! During the spring and summer months, enjoy our flower farm, Rainbow Roots Floral, which is always abundant with seasonal flowers including dahlias, sunflowers, peonies, zinnias, ranunculus, tulips, and other varieties of color. Most days you will see Adrienne (+team) working in the flowers! Don't hesitate to ask her about the flower farm, she LOVES to share her love of flowers with all her guests! We offer flowers for sale seasonally at our farm stand if you would like to take some flowers home with you! We can't wait to show you our little slice of heaven! The property is completely hidden from all streets and the surrounding neighbors by our bamboo forests. It is a wonderful venue for those who desire privacy. Aircraft Hangar This space boasts an open floor plan with 15-foot ceilings and plush and cozy king and queen size bedrooms. There is a large closet and bathroom space for getting ready. Our open kitchen features every appliance and bar tool you could need to make a meal or prepare cocktails with your guests. Perfect space to entertain or hang out as a family! Feel free to settle into the sofas and enjoy your favorite Netflix/Amazon shows. Or go outside and enjoy the amazing views of the Smoky Mountains, across our own flower fields, and onto the private airstrip that is adjacent to our property. From time to time you will actually see our neighboring pilots practicing with their aircraft. Vehicle access is clearly marked and very easy to navigate straight to the hangar. Just follow the gravel road at the end of the culdusac all the way to the end where you'll see a large wood sign indicating our Airbnbs. Turn left at the sign and follow the drive all the way up and around to the rear of our main house. Feel free to pull right into the designated parking area for Terminal 1344. We are McGee Tyson Airport close (10 miles) and just 30 to 45 minutes to Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Anakeesta and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Hop inside this time capsule dating back to WWII. Platform1346 is a renovated troop train kitchen car that sits on the family's flower farm and is adjacent to the Smoky Mountains. It has been showcased on television on The Design Network's "Tiny Bnb" and websites like the Travel Channel and NBC's Today Show, countless TikTok's, YouTube and Instagram videos and also news outlets all over the world! This 1943 train car offers a maximized and well designed layout for your relaxing getaway! This train is a Tiny Home that has been consciously planned out ensuring all the space is utilized to its fullest potential. In addition, the design concept was kept thoughtful in highlighting the era in which it originated. Come relax in the queen sized bed with luxurious bedding. We also offer a queen pull out sofa bed. for additional guests The kitchen is completely outfitted with all the cookware you could need, Smeg appliances for those discerning chefs and butcher block counters. Continue your relaxation in a claw foot tub and then after your rejuvenating soak, settle in to the sofa for your favorite Netflix or Amazon show. Off the front of the train you have two private decks that look across the flower fields and onto the private airstrip that is adjacent to our property. Very often you will actually see our neighboring pilots practicing with their aircraft. Amazing and relaxing stay!

Aircraft Hangar Near Smoky Mtns

We loved our stay in the hangar! Adrienne and Dean were awesome hosts and the hangar has everything you need. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy with seating, fire pit options and is highlighted with all the beautiful flowers on the flower farm. Taking a walk through the property will just bring a smile to your face, the flowers are incredible and Adrienne is a wealth of knowledge. The property is near the western border of the Smokeys and close to the Cades Cove area of the park. A quick drive into Maryville will bring you to more urban amenities or activities as well. We felt very at home here and enjoyed cuddling the friendly dogs. If you are in the area, you are missing out by not experiencing this property! We will be coming back anytime we are in the area. Thanks Dean and Adrienne for an awesome trip!

Aircraft Hangar Near Smoky Mtns

Incredible, peaceful, and unforgettable—just a few words that come to mind when reflecting on our stay at platform 1346. The accommodation was spotless, thoughtfully equipped, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing escape. Adrienne and Dean were thoughtful and welcoming hosts; we especially enjoyed our conversations with Adrienne —it’s always a pleasure to hear others stories. The friendly dogs added an extra touch of joy to the visit. And the flower fields? Absolutely breathtaking. I’m admiring my beautiful flower bouquet as I write this. If you're looking for a serene yet unique Tennessee retreat, this is the place. Highly recommended!

Aircraft Hangar Near Smoky Mtns

This has been my top Hipcamp stay so far! We had a wonderful time. The hangar has a beautiful modern look while still being cozy and inviting. The hosts were quick to respond and kind. They have 5 pups that like to come and say hello. They are all well mannered and enjoy stopping by for a pet or two. The hangar has everything you need and with three air units spread out inside, you don’t have to worry about being cold! We will be back during warmer months to see the flowers! I cannot recommend this stay enough!!!
