This property is a Pristine Riverfront property in Colo Valley. It is a tidal river with sandy shallow sandbars and 10ft deep swimming holes. There is an abundance of native animals here including kangaroos, lyre birds, lace monitors, platypus and more! Access is via a short dirt driveway to the riverfront camping area. The access is 2wd unless there has been significant rain it becomes 4wd access.We can accommodate both small and large groups with sites just steps away from the river. We have 2 water entrances, one is a large grassed area with shallow water which is great for kids & families. The other entrance is a natural sandy entry with a deeper swimming area suitable for adults. We also have a beautiful lagoon area where I can arrange additional campers. We have built some new flushing toilets (3) with a hot water shower.We are very accommodating of your pets. We welcome dogs and can host horses in one of the paddocks. Please ensure you contact the host prior to your stay if you are bringing any animals. We have canoes & floats which you can hire to paddle up the river. Additional activities here include fishing, swimming, bushwalking, canoeing & birdwatching. Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. Leave it better than as you found it. Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

Noonameena is a 100 acre natural bushland property located approx 7kms outside of Berrima, NSW in the Southern Highlands. While most of the property is covered by a variety of natural bushland, a small flat area of cleared land is perfect for recreational campers. The property has access to the Wingecarribee River to the south, a natural pool and large dam in the camping area. Other property features include commercial gardens, orchards and free range chicken coop as well as a homestead with surrounding gardens. There are also plenty of walking tracks on the property.

Matt was great. He met us at the dam when we arrived and showed us the way to the camp site. We had a swim in the dam (surprisingly comfortable water temp) and chilled out evening amongst the trees.

Weekend Trip to Trout Valley Retreat

Had a wonderful trip with a large group of 14 people and two dogs. It's a really beautiful and scenic place to rest and relax and the dogs had so much fun running around the field of wild daisies. The cabin with a flushable toilet and shower really added a level of comfort to the trip, especially on a particularly windy day which meant we ended making use of the kitchen which is very well equipped. In terms of the drive up, it's doable in a smaller car, don't require a 4WD. The roads are gravelled with a number of pot holes and uneven surfaces so best to drive slowly. A big thank you to Tom for his excellent communication and clear instructions, and for helping us with a small issue at the end of the trip. Would definitely love to return here again.

Absolutely loved our weekend there. There was another group at the same time but the setup meant we couldn’t hear anything whatsoever. Right by the river which was nice. Got a decent shower, thunder and lightening on the first night and the ground still held up absolutely fine. Lisa had some big tables and even a bbq available to use which was a lovely bonus.

We enjoyed staying here for a few days while visiting and exploring the local area. Matt is a great host and was super helpful in finding the right spot for our set up. Matt had a great set up down at the dam including a rock wall climb over the dam, if only the weather was warm enough we would have loved to have a go! We found this place ideal for doing a number of hikes in the area.

5 nights at Trout Valley Retreat

My family really enjoyed staying at Tom's Farm, and would definitely be back again. We had the whole place to ourselves, and there was plenty to do - fishing, collecting firewood, reading, riding bikes, exploring, spotting wildlife. The cabin was an unexpected luxury. Three days flew by. Our dog had the time of his life, too!

Spot suited for those comfortable camping in a rustic setting. Feels like you could be anywhere in the Blue Mountains. People do walk past your camp in order to get to the lookout so not completely private if other campers choose to do that walk. Not ideal if windy as it can be a bit unrelenting. This aside you can enjoy an incredible sunset and night sky from this location. Wonderfully quiet during the day. Matthew is also a very attentive and considerate host. We loved chatting to him.

We loved camping at Matt's campsite. It was spacious and quiet as all campsites are separated. We also loved the little lake and kayak. There's also a short walk to a cliff platform to watch the sunset. Matt was super friendly and guided us to different parts of his site. We'll definitely visit again!

We had a lovely stay at the Grassy Paddock. It is close to the dam for swimming and water activities and had a clean drop toilet that was perfect for our needs. We did an incredible hike with Matthew that was awesome, (thanks again Mattew). Our groodle had a wonderful time and we enjoyed the peace and quiet, it felt like a National Park. The kids loved all the water activities. We will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay at Bonnie Doon! Matt was so welcoming , always available if we needed anything and brought us on an epic canyon walk where we experienced some beautiful pools and views. The campsite was easy to access , and campsites were far enough from each other that we all had privacy. The option to also rent a portaloo was great. Most of us were travelling from Sydney and it’s hard to get somewhere that is not a big drive from sydney , but is also secluded, and Matt’s place ticked all the boxes. Would highly recommend Matt’s campsite to anyone!

We had a great time camping at Shady Acres. Lisa was great and very helpful. There was plenty of space, and lots of firewood available which we really appreciated. The river was lovely for a swim. We loved the sounds of the birds in the morning. The location was easy to find in the daylight but a little tricky to find at night time. We would definitely recommend!

Had the whole place to ourselves, great spot right be a rushing river with bush walks and heaps of wildlife around. Handy to have a cabin onsite with a bathroom and some cooking facilities that we could have used if we needed, and Tom’s communication with us made the whole thing a piece of cake. Great spot, we’ll be back for sure!
