Cedar Bluff isn’t exactly party central, but it is a bit closer to the lake, and therefore more popular. So why visit this majestic spot in the Sierras? There is also a discount for stays longer than a week. Amenities in the campground include hammocks, basketball, cornhole, darts and a ring toss game for all to enjoy. We are 10 minutes from the small town of Groveland with a market and restaurants and just down the road from the put in for rafting on the Tuolumne river. Our pricing is a little higher than other places nearby and this is due to the property's great locations, incredible beauty, and all of the amenities added for a great experience. We are between Sequoia National Park (about an hour) and the Giant Sequoia National Monument (16 miles to groves up Hwy 190 and no entrance fee). There are 33 giant sequoia groves in our Southern Region of the Giant Sequoia National Monument, some easily driven to, and some remote. Our ranch is a nature preserve and an education demonstration site, teaching sustainable and regenerative land use practices. River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public. Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). I’m a mom of three running a small homestead complete with a garden, a dog, a cat, a flock of chickens, and guinea pigs! The homestead sits along the river in the foothills above Mariposa with five acres of land to wander, seasonal swimming holes, and plenty of wildlife and plant life to take in along the way. River is swimmable until about mid-July. Then starts flowing again in late September. I'm a musician, and I love sharing my instruments, so don't be shy about asking to borrow one. We're always happy to share a meal, let the kids run around together, or just sit and feed the animals for a while. But if you're here for peace and quiet, that's just as welcome. This is a place for whatever you need. Every dollar from your booking goes directly back into the property - animal feed, tending to the land, and the community projects we're always dreaming up.
