Secluded camping on the S.Fork Caddo River. This amazing 80 acre property offers up to two guests free use of kayaks, tubes, and a paddle boat for enjoyment in the large swimming hole area of the river. You will also have private access to our unique outdoor bathhouse overlooking the river and Ouachita Mountains. Camp on the river or set up near your car in the pine and hardwood forest next to our vacation cabin above the river. The cabin will be vacant during your stay. No other guests will overlap your stay. You can enjoy the views from the front and back porch and awesome three-tier deck. You may also use our propane grill or fire rings. The property extends across both sides of the river, so seclusion is abundant! Water is available in the bathhouse and through a water spigot at the cabin. Electricity is available outside the cabin. The bathhouse contains an outdoor shower, antique tub, and sink. There is an outhouse with flushing toilet available for our camping guests near the cabin. ATVs are not allowed to be used on the property.
We can only rent to 2 people max even though the property is large (That's 40 acres per person!!)
Calendar - We have to keep the calendar for camping mostly blocked for dates more than a month out. We rent the cabin as our primary rental on HipCamp and on another site.
Cell service is poor. AT&T works about 5% at the cabin (just in a couple spots); Verizon works ok on the back porch.
The last 1/2 mile to the cabin is a rough dirt road with a steep hill just before reaching the cabin. Cars can make it if the weather is good but a small SUV or truck is recommended.
116 steps down to the river from the cabin and parking area.

This place is idyllic! Set back in the woods on a mountain. Gorgeous views and very private. The water was crystal clear and felt very good when we stayed in September. The deck is amazing and our dogs loved basking in the sun and sleeping in the shade that it provided. The propane grill was a nice break from campfire cuisine; however, a fire pit and cooking grate were provided as well. We did not get a chance to use the boats as the water was a little low and our dogs were with us but that is a very nice perk. The outdoor shower was super nice and neatly decorated. Another added bonus, was the antique coke machine that had the best, ice cold and slushy drinks. Bring some extra change to enjoy those! Just one note for anyone with bad knees, there are a lot of steps down to the water so just be cautious. Otherwise, plenty to enjoy up by the cabin. There were several trails to check out so make sure you bring some quality boots! And check out Morning Joy's Donuts in Mount Ida for breakfast, its delicious! And the host was very gracious and answered any questions we had! We look forward to planning another trip this way again!
Everything was perfect. Everything i was expecting and MORE! Todd is a great host on top of that, he's always available when/if you need anything/just have a question! The spot is absolutely gorgeous and extremely private. The bathhouse is wonderful, and all the amenities make this place a 15/10! I will definitely be back

To begin with, shortly after making our reservations Todd sent us an amazing email with perfect directions, trail maps, things to do nearby, and essentially everything one would need to know before arriving. Then the day before, I received a text letting me know the weather was going to be really warm and suggesting I bring a fan for the deck.
We didn’t rent the cabin since I’m trying to get my wife into car camping. We pitched a tent next to the cabin and had a blast. The outdoor plumbed toilet was very welcome but the outdoor shower was the hit of the trip. It’s just as pictured and really, really cool.
We made full use of the tubes and kayaks. The river was crisp, clean, and perfect.
We will absolutely be back with some more family members who will likely want the cabin, but I’m bringing the tent again.
Thanks Todd.

We're thrilled that you enjoyed your stay so much. Yes, that outdoor bathhouse is really something special. Many guests have told us that they never want to bathe indoors again! Thanks for being our guests and come back soon!
It was exactly what we needed. A beautiful escape just to ourselfs. Private, safe and well up kept. We greatly enjoyed pur stay and cant wait to come back!

Thanks for the review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay!
Great spot for some scenic off-the-grid camping. River access is incredible and the scenery is beautiful

We're glad you enjoyed being off-grid briefly. We look forward to hosting you again sometime. You are welcome to camp again or enjoy the cabin!
more than expected!!! My boyfriend & I enjoyed camping here so much that we will be back.

It was a river view paradise! The outdoor bath and clear river water with kayak access was serene! I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing location with beautiful and peaceful views! Very private and serene which was perfect as an escape from the city life. Todd was above and beyond accommodating throughout our stay and very helpful as we prepared for the trip. Highly recommend an suv or truck to get up to this oasis as it’s a gravel road. We will definitely be returning and are so grateful for the hospitality! If you’re thinking of booking...do it!

I love the photos! Thanks for sharing these. It's cool to see where people set up camp. Thanks again!
We had a lovely chill time in the river, grilling, enjoying the bath house, and relaxing under the stars. The amount of natural insect, fungi, and bird life was incredible, and Todd’s property is spacious with many trails to explore, and he was super helpful and friendly and answered all our questions. Be prepared to feel the burn of the stairs going down to the river!

We're glad you enjoyed the trails and being surrounded by nature. The stairs are special! My kids say there are 118 steps. I only count 116! Ha. They do help with the beautiful views! Thanks again for being our guests!
