In the before times, I would have never thought to camp on a farm, but now I’m wondering how it took me so long to find this idea. Great set up, easy to spread out to cook, nice lighting and you may meet a sweet kitten. Shaded cleared private campsites allowed for easy spacing. The forest and farm are magical to tour and there is nearby access to water but please note there are no bathrooms in phase 3.
We loved Jay and family’s hospitality and unique calm space.
Perfect spot amazing folk
Yana and I want to say that staying here with Jay was the highlight of our trip. Jay is an amazing host and an incredible human. He welcomed us and gave us a wonderful secluded spot with power lights a huge fire ring tables and more. We ended up spending a great night with him learning all about the permaculture on his organic farm. We learned all about the symbiotic relationships between the plants trees and animals. We will be back again. This is now a destination for us. Thanks Jay see you soon! Love Adam & Yana
A beautiful site in the middle of a chill area. Shine and Rise is a super chill and quiet yet lively farm/orchard. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking.
Exactly what we needed!
My sister and I stayed at Jay's for one night as a short stop on a longer road trip. I wish we'd made more time for the campsite because the land is meant to be explored. Jay and his wife are very kind, easygoing and happy to make your stay as comfortable as you need it. Our site was exactly what we were looking for but next time I come down, I will spend more time there.
This camping space was beautiful. All of the sites were disconnected from the other sites so they were private. There were lights hung up around our site and had plenty of space to put up tents. We bought the firewood bundle and it was waiting for us when we arrived. There was good communication between our group and the owner, Jay. It was lovely walking around the farm and seeing all of the agriculture and animals. Great stay!
Jay is awesome and staying at his farm was one of the highlights of our trip. The site was particularly cool with string lights, a great fire pit, and plenty of space. Come here for the great campsite, but definitely come if you are at all interested in organic farming.
Only complaint is that the directions are not correct and had us going a couple miles down the road. Numbers were right, street name was wrong.
Hadn't been camping in about a decade, and never in the East Coast, so I had absolutely no expectations. Campsite was amazing and seeing all the green and farm animals around was even better! Thanks for a wonderful first camping experience in the East Coast! Cheers to all the new friends!
