The Chinati potty is a 2 minute walk.  WASHER pit recently installed. There is a 65 gallon tank of non-potable water in the common area near the Chinati potty.  Feel free to use this water for showers and general camp use.  I would not drink it due to the fact that algae growth is seen periodically in the tank.

You have access to the Big Kahuna SHOWER by staying at this site.

We had an amazing time at Rio Bravo Ranch, RB-2! We got camp set up about 5:30 after our day trip into BBRSP, and got the campfire started! The fire ring has a grate provided so cooking fajitas was easy, while the kids played and my wife and I enjoyed a cold beverage, enjoying our eastward view of the bofecillos mountains of Big Bend Ranch State Park and listening to the coyotes! After a peaceful night, we made coffee the next morning and leisurely packed up camp. Can’t recommend this place enough! Way out west and awesome!

The site was exceptional. You could tell the host put a lot of thought and effort into it. It was private, perfectly flat making for great tent camping, and beautiful. I highly recommend hiking down Alamito Creek to the Rio Grande. Very pleasant and beautiful hike.

This is such a wonderful hipcamp destination. We enjoyed the privacy and the cool cover over the picnic table. The wood was long burning and readily available by red wagon, which gave us the exercise we needed after a day in the car. Incredible Night Sky to accompany a cozy night. In the mornings we walked down to the Rio Grande by way of the "airstrip" cross 170, which is part of Charlie and Lauren's ranch land. All in all - a fantastic stay.! We also enjoyed our tour of hisyoric Fort Leaton - just a few miles away. Thank you folks!

Everything a camper needs and the soul desires in this breathtaking camping destination. You can explore 1200 acres of enchanting desert landscape and rest enjoying the 360 degree views of mountains that nestle this campsite with the most stunning, cotton candy colored skies and orange sunsets. We were able to observe a few lizards, a jackrabbit, a mule deer, a road runner, other native birds and greeted in the mornings with coyotes howling in the far background while preparing breakfast. We elected to ommit campfires in the evening time due to high gusts of wind and did need to anchor our tents with a few rocks.

Gracious hosts, thougthful ammentities, and wonderfully laid out. Would definitely return!

My family and I really had a great time out at Rio Bravo. The sunrises and sunsets are 2nd to none! Proximity to the State Park was awesome as well! Thank you for sharing your beautiful land with us.

Rio Bravo Ranch was an awesome getaway! You can tell that a ton of care and time was put into these sites. One thing that the National Park primitive sites don’t have are sun shades and fire pits, and those made our trip! Kept us cool(ish) during the hot day and warmed us up at night. The views are beautiful and the colorful skies made for a great backdrop for breakfast and dinner. The shower and portapotty were pristine. Taking a cool shower was perfect after a dusty day! This site is truly secluded from site 1– totally out of site and hearing. In fact, you can barely even see either site from the main road. Directions were perfect, even when we arrived after dark due to car trouble. We’ve stayed at the State Park nearby before, but our experience at Lauren’s site was above and beyond! We’ll be back! Thank you— Dylan, Megan, and Allie (our pup!)
