There is a Sheriff's deputy that lives a couple of miles south of the site on the other side of the tall hill and he will occasionally have BBQ's, parties, etc.  Unfortunately, the rocky hills allow even the slightest sounds to carry very well on still nights and you might hear the background music (albeit faint).  No campers have endorsed hearing any such noise but I know it can happen because I have heard it a couple of times over the past 3 years.    The good news is, a Sheriff's deputy lives a couple of miles away.

The Chinati potty is a 2 minute walk.  There is a 65 gallon tank of non-potable water in the common area near the Chinati potty.  Feel free to use this water for showers and general camp use.  I would not drink it due to the fact that algae growth is seen periodically in the tank.

You have access to the Big Kahuna SHOWER by staying at this site.
