Simply incredible. Matt has carved out a peaceful retreat on his land, tucked away in a private area with creek-front access, lots of outdoor amenities (wood-hired HOT TUB, pizza oven, chairs, hangout areas) and creative touches throughout. It's obvious that the whole site was thoughtfully put together by an artist.

As for the treehouse itself: *wow.* Matt built it by hand over the course of six years, and it is beautiful, comfortable and fun. One of my favorite relaxing experiences from the weekend was hanging out on the deck of the treehouse and looking out to the creek and surrounding trees.

Plus, Matt seems to be constantly working on adding new amenities and features to his campsite. He clearly cares a lot about creating a positive experience for his campers, and it is a real treat to stay at his site. I can't wait to make a return trip – this slice of solitude is completely worth the price, especially because when you rent the tree house, you also get private access to the entire rest of the campsite.

(Pro tip: The pizza oven is awesome, but can be tricky! It seems like the best approach is probably to make multiple smaller pizzas, rather than trying to do one big one – ours didn't entirely cook through. We also should have focused on making the fire bigger and hotter before we tried to cook the pizza.)

I spent a day and night at Matt’s property with my boyfriend and we both had an amazing time. Matt greeted us at the campsite with his wife and adorable daughter and showed us around the beautiful place, after that he left us to ourselves! The kayaking was phenomenal, the tree house was superb, and I can’t begin to recall all the little details Matt has put into this property to make it both convenient for the camper and an incredibly unique experience. We will definitely be back!
